TV Review: Vampire Diaries: Stand By Me(4.15)

                                        Vampire Diaries: Stand By Me(4.15)Review

• I understand that Elena being in denial about Jeremy's death through out most of the episode but I still found it pretty painful to watch knowing full well that Jeremy was never going to wake up again.
• I liked how neither Damon nor Stefan thought about anything other than how Elena was going to take Jeremy's death once they knew he wasn't going to come back to life and how the love triangle really wasn't valued in this episode which I think is for the best since this episode focused on what needed to be focused on.
• I liked how when Caroline first started to figure out what was going on and was talking to Stefan on the porch that the first thing she started to think about was how they needed to start do things to get ready for the funeral, I also like the reference to her making a casserole because that's something she did after Vicki died for Matt because she didn't really know how else to help him through the mourning process.
• I liked how when Damon told Rebekah that Jeremy was dead that Rebekah did feel bad for Elena since she lost her only family, this just makes me like Rebekah even more because even though Elena has taken away two of her brothers Rebekah didn't wish the same on Elena.
• I liked how Damon was pretty focus on Katherine when he was torturing Vaughan and how he told Rebekah that Katherine was probably long gone with the cure and that they have pretty much no chance of finding her. I liked these things because I think this proves that Damon is still not over Katherine because he still tends to take the things she does sort of personally even though in this case it's clear it had nothing to do with him.
• I loved that when Vaughan mentioned that they couldn't kill him that Rebekah told him that they could torture him within an inch of his life and then heal him and repeat the process until he gives them the information they need, Vaughan of course decides to give said information.
• I liked how when Bonnie found out about Jeremy's death that her magic acted out rather violently do to her grief.
• I liked how Bonnie's first response was to mourn Jeremy's death rather than help Silas because she knew that goes against the natural order of things. It was only after Silas showed her Jeremy that she was willing to help him and that scene where she tried to save Jeremy made me cry.
• I liked how Matt basically pointed out to Elena when she told Matt that Damon is often mean to the people he cares about that is crazy logical.
• I liked how when Matt and Elena where talking about Jeremy that Matt told her it was okay to have hope and that he brought up his experience of loosing Vicki, I just really liked those scenes and I like the idea of hope being something that keeps you going through your life.
• I liked the scene were Damon found Bonnie and they hugged, I'm not really sure why I liked it, I also find it a bit odd that there have been more moments where Damon actually cares about Bonnie recently.
• I liked how happy and relieved Caroline was when she saw that Bonnie was okay.
• I liked how right after Damon arrived that he said he needed to talk to Stefan and I just generally like that Damon only told Stefan that Bonnie had been talking crazy.
• I liked how it was explained that everyone who was on the other side would come back to life with Silas's help. I also liked how Caroline and Matt were very vocally against the idea of killing 12 people and that during this exchange Elena was just silent and that we didn't really see her reaction until she told April over the phone that Jeremy was dead.
• I found it pretty heartbreaking and frightening watching Elena come to terms that Jeremy was dead. I think that Nina Dobrev did a brilliant job acting in these scenes.
•  I found the break down Elena was having were she started to prepare to light the house on fire and I agree with Caroline when she says that Elena is scaring her because if I was in her position I would be scared too.
• I get why Damon used the sire bond but I hated how he used the sire bond I think he could have said a lot of other things to help her other than to turn off her humanity, I think in the long run Elena's going to hate him for it once her humanity comes back on which it will someday.
• I really loved the scenes with Caroline calling Tyler throughout the episode and I especially love the last one where she tells him Jeremy is dead and that she really needs him right now and this made me cry because she does really need him.
• I'm curious about if Silas is the Professor Shane that has been talking to Bonnie through out the episode or the Professor Shane Rebekah found on the island.
• I loved how in Damon and Stefan's last scene between the two of them that they basically without words said they loved each other which was nice to have it super implied because even though we know they do it's nice to have them let each other know.
• I liked how Stefan told Elena that she might want to come back home one day and I found it really sad when she said she won't because both Stefan and I'm guessing a lot of the audience knows that one day she will but there's nothing anyone can do about her burning down her home.
