Top 5 Thursday is a meme that I create to make lists of things involving TV and movies. I would love for anyone that sees this post to make list of their own whether it's in the comment section or on their own blog.
Since fall TV shows will start returning soon I thought that now would be the best time to make a list of my favorite season premiere episodes, I feel I should note that I'm not including any pilot episodes because I feel like pilot episodes are quite different with how there needs to be a lot more set up and so they won't be included on this list.
1. Doctor Who: The Eleventh Hour(5.01): I watched Doctor Who in a strange order in that I tried to start with the first series but I got bored with it after three episodes but then I decided I start with series 5 instead which was a really good decision on my part since I absolutely loved The Eleventh Hour. I loved the Eleventh Doctor right away with how odd he was and I loved little Amelia Pond and I loved how she handled the Doctor and is weirdness and the crack in her wall. I was sad for Amy when I found out that the Doctor had been gone for years and she had grown up waiting for the Doctor who no one else believed was real. I loved that Rory noticed that coma patients were walking around town while they were also in the hospital and that the Doctor notice Rory taking pictures of them was because he noticed something often. To be honest even though we weren't suppose to think of Rory as an important character yet I ended up loving the Doctor, Amy and Rory all as individual characters and also as a group. I loved seeing the Doctor get rid of the alien that was trying to destroy the world and then he called it back to tell it earth is under his protection. I really loved this episode and I thought it was a really good introduction for the Doctor, Amy and Rory.
2. Vampire Diaries: The Return(2.01): The first seven episodes of season 2 are pretty much regarded as the best period of the show by most fans and I have to agree with that statement. I loved this episode because it's the one that introduced us to modern day Katherine who is the best villain this show has ever had by far. Katherine was terrifying, charming and seductive and I completely loved her for it. I love how her motives are so unclear and I love that we just know she's up to something but no one has a clue as to what. I loved how seamlessly already Katherine is able to play Elena and I love how this adds an extra layer of threat to everyone who isn't in the know about vampires and doppelgangers. I loved that extremely sexy make out Katherine and Damon has it was so passionate and I love how he started off somewhat violently and I love that Damon poured his heart out to her and that Katherine lied to him and said she never returned his feelings because she's planning something and she can't afford to get distracted by emotions. I loved how the episode ends with Katherine killing Caroline telling her to deliver the message "Game on." because it just made me wonder what she's up to and how many people she's willing to kill to get what she wants.
3. The OC: The Aftermath(3.01): This is the first episode of The OC that I ever watched and this is the episode that made me completely fall in love with the show and it's characters. Even when I re-watch this episode I still love it and I feel like this episode in a lot of ways was a throwback to season 1 with Ryan getting arrested, Jimmy and Julie being together, Julie being villainous with getting Trey to blame the shooting on Ryan, Marissa and Summer dressing up as candy stripers and the fact that there were hardly any guest stars in this episode with it mostly focusing just on the main characters. I love this episode both because I think it's a good episode and because it's the one that introduced me to my favorite show.
4. Degrassi:TNG:When Doves Cry(2.01-2.02): This episode is the one that introduces Craig Manning who was my favorite character of the show and it does so with such an important storyline for him. While I don't think enjoy is the right word to describe how I felt about Craig's storyline about being abused by his father and feeling like he can't take it anymore I thought it was well written and especially well acted by Jake Epstein who I still have on a list of my favorite actors because of how much I enjoy his acting on this show. I also enjoyed the lighthearted subplot with JT trying to get a date with Paige probably mostly because I love both of those characters as well.
5. Revenge: Destiny(2.01): I really loved this episode because it just really got me excited about the rest of the season. I loved that Emily and Nolan had so many scenes together in this episode because I so missed seeing those two on my TV screen and I like them best when they're with each other. I loved that Emily was keeping in touch with Charlotte in order to have a new way into the Graysons lives and I loved how Victoria was revealed to have faked her own death with the help of the white haired man. I loved pretty much every bit of this episode and I don't think I have a particularly good reason as to why just that I really enjoyed it.

Fangirl Friday 34
Fangirl five Friday is a weekly meme host Nancy Drew is my Homegirl and what it's meme that has you list the top five things you've been fangirling about this week.
1. Game of Thrones: Game of Thrones season 3 premiered this week and I really enjoyed the episode although it didn't feel like a lot happened in it which is okay because it was enough to just see my favorite characters again. I really loved everything involving Margaery, I loved seeing her offer kindness to the common children and how by her showing this kindness she was actually able to get some of the common people to like her which I thought was amazing since she used kindness in order to win the people over and it worked better than anything the Lannisters have done since Joffery became king. I also loved seeing Cersei barely concealed hate for Margaery in their scenes together and I loved how Margaery's kindness and smile never faltered, I just really love Margaery I have since her first scene but this week's episode increased my love for her by a lot. I really loved Sansa's scene where she was playing a game in which she would make up stories of where the ships were going and I loved that her answer to Shae's question about why would she make up story when she knows the truth was "The truth is always terrible or boring." I love this quote so much because it shows that even through all the things that Sansa has been through she still the girl we met in the first book in a lot of ways which I think is great because that means that her being held prisoner hasn't completely broken her spirit. I also enjoyed Sansa scene with Littlefinger when she tells him that she wants to leave king's landing and I love how she used what he said about her being a bad liar against him in this episode. I also really liked the exchange between Shae and Ros where they talked about how far they have come from where they started and how Shae said that she always looks out for Sansa, I just really love the relationship between Sansa and Shae in the show. I also loved all of the stuff with Danearys with how she actually has managed to get herself a ship and that she is now looking for an army for herself. I was also very interested in how Ser Barristan has come to join her Queen's guard and I'm interested to how she'll respond to his request.
2. Doctor Who: Doctor Who also returned this week and we finally met the version of Clara Oswald that will be traveling with the Doctor. I really loved this episode it had a really interesting concept with the whole wi-fi stealing people's souls and I really loved seeing how the Doctor and Clara interacted. I enjoyed seeing how the Doctor introduced her to the taradis and how he does things, I liked how Clara called the taradis a snog box and she was surprised that the doctor didn't really have a plan beyond finding the bad guys. I really enjoyed this episode and I'm looking forward to the next one.
3. Psych: There was an another new episode of Psych this week and it was an another great one. In this episode Shawn investigates the death of a circus performer and most of this takes place while he his helping Gus look after his girlfriend's son Max which causes problems for Gus because Max keeps seeing things that a kid shouldn't see. There also a bit of a brief break up of sorts between Shawn and Gus but things are back to normal by the end of the episode. Lassiter also as his girlfriend released from jail in this episode and because of her parole officer they have a few problems being together so Juliet tries to help them out. I overall loved this week's episode it was funny and had good character and relationship moments in it.
4. Degrassi: If you follow my blog you may have noticed that I haven't posted much this week and that would be because I have been watching Degrassi obsessively this week I watched most of season 11 and about half of season 12. Well I'm still really enjoying this show which should be fairly obvious considering how much of it I have watched this week. I enjoyed the whole plot with Holly J finding out that she was adopted and how she had to convince her bio-mom to donate one of her kidneys for her but I didn't like how the show somehow made Holly J look bad for wanting her bio-mom to help her out without paying her 20,000 dollars especially since it's illegal to buy organs. I just don't get why the show made it seem like it was wrong for Holly J to be mad at someone for holding an organ transplant that she needs or she'll die in the near future hostage but I'm glad that Holly J was able to get the organ when Fiona bought her bio-mom's old prom dress for 20,000 and I love that Fiona was so willing to buy it for her. I found the plot line were Anya was doing cocaine regularly to be pretty weird considering that it seemed more like the symptoms of binge drinking then cocaine and when her mom found out about it she seemed to take it far too well considering how dangerous cocaine can be. I really enjoyed Bianca stroyline in season 11 where she was doing things she didn't want to in order to protect Drew even though they weren't even dating at the time and I liked how in the second half of season 11 she was working on getting her life together and being a better person than she was before because of these storylines I really started to love Bianca has a character in way that I thought I never would and I also really enjoy her and Drew as a couple. I also ended up really liking Katie as a character after it started to be revealed that she not as in control or perfect and she pretends to by, I felt really bad for her in the election episode when Marisol treat her badly overall and told people about how Katie use to be bulimic and when Drew broke up with her and got with Bianca right afterwards, I also really love the relationship that developed between her and Jake. I also really love Jake as a character he's just seem like such a nice guy and he takes almost everything really calmly which isn't something that you really see on the show ever, I also like his whole plot about building a garden with Katie. I really loved watching the relationship between Fiona and Imogen from a nice friendship to a romantic relationship, I adore both characters and I love them together. I also have really enjoyed watching Clare and Eli get back together in season 12 and I love their relationship in season 12 even more than I did in season10. I love the character Cam he's such a great new character he's sweet, shy and awkward but he's also really sad and lonely all he wants to do is find happiness which he does with Maya and their relationship is really cute. I'm really loving the show and while I'm sure there's more I could say about it, I think I've said enough for now.
5. The Bates Motel: This week's episode of Bates Motel was a good one and it really dealt a lot more with Norman's character and the possibility of a mental disorder which I found fascinating because those types of things always intrigues me. I'm really loving this show so far and I can't wait to see what happens next.

Top 5 Female Friendship in Fiction
I'm just making this list because it's been a while since I did a list that wasn't a part of some meme.
1. Sakura and Tomoyo(Cardcaptor Sakura): I just really love this friendship because they both clearly love each other, they both have so much faith in each other and while they are different in quite a few ways the two of them just end up admiring each other for those differences. I love how Sakura values Tomoyo's emotional support so much through out the series and that she was able to trust Tomoyo with her secret right a way. I love how Tomoyo has this complete unwavering faith in Sakura and all of her abilities and that she wants more than anything is for Sakura to be happy. I just really love this two and I think they have a beautiful friendship.
2. Faye and Melissa(Secret Circle): I love their friendship because they have this good understanding of each other and they there for each other when they need to be. I really love how Faye can be a bit protective of Melissa such as when she started seeing Nick and Faye thought he wouldn't treat her right so she made sure to confront him about it to make sure he treated her right. I love how Melissa can see that although Faye can come off as a bitch a lot of the time that she does truly care about her but she just isn't always the nicest person. I loved how the two of them would have fun together with their magic as well and I love the chemistry that the two of them share as well.
3. Hikaru, Umi and Fuu(Magic Knight Rayearth): I love how fast these girls bonded and I loved how within a day or two of being transported into to this strange world that they all learned to work together and started to see each other as sister. I loved how all three of them would never turn on or abandon each other to save themselves but that they were all willing to die in order to save the other two. I also loved how they all had different personalities but were still able to come together so quickly and I loved how the whole story was mostly about their friendship with each other.
4. Holly J and Fiona(Degrassi: TNG): This two are a bit different from the rest of the friendships on the list since when they first met they didn't get along at all but that all changed in season 10 when Fiona went to Holly J when she felt she had no one else to go to. I love that these two became friends because before this Fiona didn't have any friends and none of Holly J's friends really appreciated her overachiever personality. I really just loved how their relationship developed and how much the care for each other and see the good in each other and are there for each other whenever they're going through something.
5. Sophie and Jenna(Hex Hall): Even though I've only read the first book of the series so far I have to say that there friendship is my favorite part so far. I love how they are both outcasts with Sophie's dad being the head of the council and Jenna being a vampire although both these things makes it hard for them to make friends with anyone else it doesn't stop them from being friends with each other nor does the fact that Sophie could have had the chance to have more friends if she wasn't friends with Jenna. I love how when people started to accuse Jenna of killing people that Sophie trusted that Jenna would never do something like that no matter what anyone else said. I also love how the two are able to tease each other and do normal teenage girl things such as have fun getting ready for the dance despite their supernatural status.
Fangirl Friday 24
Fangirl five Friday is a weekly meme host Nancy Drew is my Homegirl and what it's meme that has you list the top five things you've been fangirling about this week.
1. American Horror Story: I love the episode that aired this week that had a patient that believed she was Anne Frank and claimed that Dr.Arden was at the concentration camp which isn't hard to believe with the way he experiments on the patients. I also really loved learning Grace's backstory and I continue to love the relationship she and Kit have. I really enjoyed watching Kit question whether or not he did the things they say he did and I especially love the scene were he breaks down while talking to Sister Judy. I also enjoyed the storyline with Lana trying to do everything she can to get out of the asylum.
2. Revenge: This week was another great episode that had Emily plan out a truly fantastic take down that sadly didn't stick but seeing her frame job was still amazing. The most exciting thing about this week's episode though was actually the ending with Mason finding the link between Emily and Amanda and most likely connecting the dotes to discover the truth about Emily.
3. Vampire Diaries: I found this week's episode to be very exciting even though in the grand scheme of things not too much happened but it felt like a lot was happening which I think is great. I really like that this episode is kind of implying to me that Jeremy will actually have his own storyline this season which is great because he's always been a favorite character of mine. I also like that the thing between Tyler and Hayley isn't a romantic because this show has already had more love triangles than any show should have.
4. Degrassi: This week I started trying to get caught up with Degrassi by finishing up season 10 and starting season 11(so far I've seen the first 7 episodes). I still really love this show overall but my favorite parts were probably anything involving Fiona she has this habit of being adorably awkward.

10 popular YA genres matched with tv shows
1. Vampires: Vampire Diaries: The trend of vampire romances have become extremely popular in recent years to the point that most people never want to read a book about vampires again but there are some series out there that are still worth your time. While the Vampire Diaries tv show is based off a series of books I haven't read the books and I don't plan to because I read the summary of the first four books on wikipedia and it doesn't seem like something I'd like. The Vampire Diaries tv show has interesting characters who are involved in plots that move along faster than almost any other show on tv which makes for some addicting tv. My favorite characters are Caroline, Katherine, Rebekah, Stefan, Damon and Elijah. My favorite couples are Damon/Katherine, Stefan/Elena and Jeremy/Anna.
2.Werewolves: Teen Wolf: Werewolves are slightly less popular trend than vampires in YA but still pretty popular. and while I haven't read a lot werewolf YA books I think Teen Wolf is probably a bit different in a good way from most of those series. I honestly wasn't expecting much from this series when I first started it but it's actually a great series with great characters and interesting mythology and storylines. I found the second show of this season to be great and I have to say that I loved ever episode that aired this summer which isn't something that happens often even if I do love the series.
3. Dystopian: Dollhouse: In the past couple of years dystopians went from practically non-existent in the YA genre to extremely popular while it seems like their isn't a whole lot of tv dystopian series I think Dollhouse kind of counts as one. Dollhouse is actually what I would call a pre-dystopian with all the episodes(save Epitaph one and Epitaph Two) are leading up to a dystopian future rather than being set in one. I think this series makes one ask themselves quite a few questions about human nature just like a dystopian should do(although many YA dystopian's don't because it's just a love triangle set in the future) and it has very interesting characters(it takes quite a while for some people to like the characters in the series) and concept.
4. Fairytale: Pushing Daisies:The fairytale retelling have become popular it seems in the YA genre so I think it my seem a bit odd that I didn't choose the show Once Upon a Time and I instead choose Pushing Daisies which isn't based off a fairytale but it often feels like one. I love this show with it's bright color world, interesting quirky characters and one the sweetest romances to ever grace a television screen between Ned and Chuck.
5. Fantasy kitchen sink: Buffy the Vampire slayer: Some YA series has a whole bunch of different kinds of fantasy creature and no tv show I've seen as a larger variety of monsters than Buffy the Vampire Slayer. BTVS is a great show with great episodes that deal with teen life and young adulthood through metaphors portrayed by the supernatural.
6. SciFi: Doctor Who: SCiFi may not be an extremely popular genre in YA books but it still exists and there is no better scifi series in my opinion than Doctor Who. Doctor Who is a great series about a timelord who goes by the name the Doctor who travels though time and space with is companions and saves the world and the universe whenever he can.
7. Contemporary YA: The OC: The YA books about falling in love for the first time are pretty popular now and have been for a long time and I don't see that changing anytime soon. I think The OC is the teen drama that fits this kind of YA book best because romances are big part of the show and characters who are friends in the show general treat each other well which makes this show better than most teen dramas because it isn't about stabbing your friend in the back to get with some guy or girl. I also love just really love this show and it's my favorite tv show.
8. Contemporary YA serious issues: Degrassi:TNG: It's quite popular for YA books to deal with more series issues like eating disorders or drug use such as in Ellen Hopkins books but it's not something that's popular to do in tv shows for teens. Degrassi is a show that deals with almost ever issue that teens may face in real life and while they don't always protray it well they should get points for at least trying. I love this show but I don't think it's for everyone especially if try to start the show from it's first season it may be a bit hard to get into do the characters ages.
9. Heist Society: White Collar: Heist Society is one of my favorite books and it's about con artists and White Collar is about a con artist that now has to work with the FBI in order to stay out of prison. Both Heist Society and White Collar are extremely enjoyable series that think most people would end up liking.
10. Scandelous life of the rich: Revenge: I'm not sure how popular the trend of rich people is in YA right now but I know that there are quite a few books written about them so I think this category fits. This category is honestly just an excuse for me to mention Revenge which is a great series about how Emily Thorne comes to Hampton's to get revenge on the people who framed her father when she was a young child.
Fantastic Five Friday: Top 5 finales that disapointed me
Fantastic Friday is a weekly meme that's hosted by The Weekly Enthusiast
This week's list was actually pretty hard for me to make since I usually love finale episodes.
1. Degrassi:TNG: The Power of Love(3.22): In all honesty I wasn't really expecting much from this finale because pretty much all of the season 3 plots were already wrapped up but this episode still disappointed me. This episode didn't feel like a season finale at all instead it felt like a bad episode that happened in the middle of the season.
2. Vampire Diaries: The Departed(3.22): I was disappointed by this episode because I figured out almost everything that was going to happen the week before and I don't think I was suppose to. I wasn't shocked that Elena died or about how she died because after I saw the promo for the episode I guessed that what happen would happen. I also knew Elena would choose Stefan because it's always been clear which one she loves more and I was disapointed that the flashbacks weren't really that interesting. Although I was surprised and delighted that Elijah showed up in that episode and I thought the season 4 premiere was great.
3. Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle volume 28: I'm not exactly sure about how I feel about the ending of this series because I don't really understand what was going on for most of this volume so I'm not even sure if the ending is happy, sad or bittersweet. I found that this volume gave me a lot of new information and very little time to process it which is why my feeling about the end of this series is one of confusion.
4. Degrassi:TNG: Going Down the Road(4.21-.22): I really didn't like this episode because there was this weird focus on Kevin Smith making a movie at Degrassi and the stuff with him took up half of the finale and there stuff wasn't really all that good either.
5. Merlin:The Sword in the Sword(4.12-.13): I actually really liked this episode and I thought that overall it was great but I was disappointed by this finale because it was really similar in terms of plot to the season three finale and I was disappointed that there still wasn't a magic reveal because I somehow convinced myself that there would be one in season 4 but there wasn't.

30 Days of Female Characters: Day 3: A female character you hated but grew to love
Day 3: A female character you hated but grew to love: Holly J Sinclair(Degrassi:TNG)
When Holly J was introduced in season 7 I didn't like her at all because she seemed just like some popular girl who just loved being mean to everyone for no real reason but as time went on she force to realize that being mean to people all the time won't serve you well in life. Holly J grew a lot in season 8 because her dad lost all his money and she lost all her friends she had to. I love that Holly J is has now became nicer but she also still has this fierceness to her with how she always says what she feels needs to be said even if that isn't the nicest thing to say. I also love that she's hard working and intelligent as well.

Fantastic Five Friday: Top 5 TV Couples
Fantastic Friday is a weekly meme that's hosted by The Weekly Enthusiast
1. Seth and Summer(The OC): I'm not exactly sure what to say about this couple other than I love them and I think that they're perfect for each other. I love how Seth had a crush on Summer for years before they got together and I love that part of the reason that he liked her was because of things no one else notices and I liked that part of the reason she started liking him back was because he likes her for things other guys don't even notice about her. I also love how they're different but at the same time similar enough that it makes sense why they would be good together. Also two of my favorite kissing scenes take place between those two the two scene are the coffee cart scene in season 1 and the spiderman kiss in season 2. I just really love them and I really need to rewatch The OC again in order to really properly describe my love for these two.
2. Ned and Chuck(Pushing Daisies): I love these two because they have this sweet fairytale like relationship that I just can't help but love. I also like how even though they can't touch each other they don't ever give up on their relationship and I like that they are perfectly content to just spend time together.
3. Victor and Sierra(Dollhouse): I love these two because they fall in love with each other no matter what the situation. I love that they were able to fall for each other when they were in doll state and in their original personalities but especially love that they were able to fall in love with each other even when they were imprinted with different personalities. I love this two because they always find each other and they prove to me that soul mates do exist.
4. Damon and Katherine(Vampire Diaries): I love this two together because they are actually quite similar to each other when it comes to personality and I love the history that exists between them. I love that Damon loved Katherine for 146 years and that he did everything he could to save her even though she was in no need of saving. I love that Damon has always known what kind of person(or rather vampire) Katherine was and he loved her all the more because of it not inspite of it. I love that Damon would have easily forgiven Katherine faking her own death for 145 years if she felt the same way about him. I also of course love the incredible chemistry between the two of them it's such a passionate relationship they share and I love it all the more for that. I think that Katherine loves Damon two it's just that she doesn't like to get attach to anyone ever because love causes people to make mistakes and if she made a mistake she could easily end up dead which is way she won't ever let Damon knows she loves him to. I could honestly write a super long paper on this two explaining why I think these two loved each other in 1864 and still do now in present day and why I think they're perfect for each other but I feel that I already said to much for just a quick list of favorite couples. That being said I will never stop hoping these two will admit they love each other and became a messed up version of a couple.
5. Spike and Drusilla(Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Angel): I love these two because they proved that just because someone is soulless it doesn't mean they're heartless. I also love that they were together for over a century and I just love the way the were so sweet and so creepy together at the same time.
Honorable Mentions : Declan/Holly J(Degrassi:TNG)Topher/Bennett(Dollhouse), Chad/Sonny(Sonny with a Chance), and Ryan/Taylor(The OC)
