- I liked that the episode opened up with showing us who the iron sisters were and what they do before we meet them later on in the episode.
- I like that Jace and Clary are trying to figure out were the rune she used last episode came from since they have no idea where it came from.
- I don't understand why Jace thinks it's such a bad idea to tell Izzy about the rune that Clary created because there's no way she would tell the clave about it which is why I can understand not telling Alec since he might tell the Clave about it since it's legally what you should do.
- I'm glad that Raphael agrees to wipe Simon's mom's memories about him being a vampire.
- I like that Clary tells Izzy that she's sorry that she stabbed and I like that Izzy told her that she didn't need to say sorry since she saved her from a demon.
- I like that Clary asks Izzy to join the mission to visit the iron sisters because she wants to be able to do something to defeat Valentine since he's the reason why her mom is dead.
- I like that when Aldertree suggested that Izzy spies on Clary that she is firmly against but sadly she somewhat agrees that because she's craving more yin fen.
- I like that Simon called Clary to tell her what happened at home and I like that Clary is still upset that he and Luke weren't allowed to come to Jocelyn's funeral. I like that when Clary was worrying about Luke still not showing up that Simon promised that he would find her.
- I like that Magnus sends Alec a fire message that tells him he has an emergency in order to get Alec to come over because he knows Alec is hurting and is working around the clock to avoid his feelings. I like that Magnus suggests that they go on a date now because it's important to make time for the important things.
- I like that Maia also wants to find Luke and that she reluctantly agrees that Simon and her can go look for Luke together.
- I like that when Simon started rambling that Maia asks if he always talks this much that he tells her that he does only when he's nervous and she asked why he would be nervous that he says that it's his natural state.
- I liked that when the iron sisters were doubting that Clary was really one their side since she's Valentine's daughter that she tells them that she wants to defeat him more than anyone since he killed her mother and experiment on her brother.
- I like that when Magnus tells Alec that he's not much of a beer drinker that Alec tells him he's not much of a drinker at all.
- I like that we get to see Alec and Magnus go on their first date together which was fun to watch.
- I like how Simon and Maia tell each other about their awkward experiences with being a vampire and being a werewolf and bond over that.
- I don't find it surprising at all that Alec has never been in a relationship before but I also understand why Magnus finds it surprising since he probably hasn't been someone's first relationship ever before.
- I was glad that Clary was able to pass the test for being free demonic energy but I was sad that Izzy failed the test because of the yin fen which she didn't know was demonic.
- I was glad that one of the sisters told Izzy how dangerous yin fen is and that is not something that will ever heal someone.
- I liked that Alec told Magnus that he didn't date partially because he didn't want to feel like something was wrong with him and I like that Magnus tells Alec that there is nothing wrong with him or with being inexperienced.
- I find it funny how when Magnus said that he had 17 exes which Alec thought it was no big deal then he thinks he means 17 hundred then 17 thousand which Alec clearly thinks is an unfathomable amount of exes.
- I like that it turns out that Luke was the one that taught Maia how to control herself which is why she's so loyal to him.
- I find it frightening that when wielded by an angelic being that the soul sword could wipe out the entire downworlder population.
- I like that Clary trust the Iron sister who is Luke's sister with asking her about her new rune that she couldn't tell her much about.
- I like that Simon is able to talk Luke down when he's in wolf form by talking about a memory of the two of them along with Clary and Jocelyn going camping.
- I like that Alec and Magnus decide that they want to give their relationship a go regardless of how different they are or how many people they have or haven't been with.
- I dislike that Aldertree basically blackmailed Jace to leave the institute but I like that he came to Magnus's when he needed a place to stay.
- I like how Simon and Maia tell Luke that they need him to come back with them and I like that he agrees after Maia tells him to draw strength from his loved ones.
- I dislike how Aldertree acts like he didn't do anything wrong when he gave Izzy yin fen which is clearly not true.
- I dislike that Luke sister killed her fellow iron sister because it seems like she is loyal to Valentine.

TV Review: Shadowhunters: Dust and Shadows(2.05)
Shadowhunters: Dust and Shadows(2.05)Review
- I find it very concerning that Alec is dealing with the guilt his feeling for killing Jocelyn while possessed is by shooting his bow until his hands are covered in blood, this is something that seems like an indirect version of self harm to me.
- I'm glad that Jace told Alec not to keep punishing himself for something that isn't his fault and no one blames him for what happened with Jocelyn which is something that is good for Alec to hear even if he doesn't believe that at the moment.
- I find it interesting that Alec is also blaming himself for not being able to save Jace from Valentine or the City of Bones as well as for what happened with Jocelyn.
- I like that Simon is doing his best to be there for Clary as she is dealing with the fact that her mother is dead and I liked that when Clary first suggested that she bring her mother back from the dead that he tells her that there are some things that you should just accept rather than try to fix.
- I liked that when Magnus told Clary that he wouldn't bring Jocelyn back since it would involve dark magic which is very dangerous and unpredictable that he was still very sorry for her loss and told her that what she need to do was mourn her mother and accept the pain that comes with that and that one day it will get easier even though it will never be easy.
- I felt bad for Magnus when he told Clary about how his mother killed himself when he was nine because she couldn't accept the fake that her child's father was a demon.
- I liked that Clary told Simon that he should go back home to see his mom and to tell her that he loves her while he still has the chance to do so.
- I'm glad that Jace was cleared of all the charges that were held against him but I'm sad that it looks like many shadowhunters in the institute still seems to see him as a traitor.
- I like the way that Jace and Izzy tease each other while checking in with how their both doing since they both can come off as overly confident in themselves.
- I like that Izzy apologized to Jace about selling him out to the Clave and I like that Jace wasn't made at her for that since in the end that deal ended up saving both Alec and his life, I honestly think that neither Jace nor Izzy would think any deal that keeps Alec alive could ever be a bad deal because he means the world to both of them.
- I find it sad that Clary seems to be blaming herself a bit for her mother's death because she thinks that she would still be alive if she had agreed to go to Idris with her.
- I like how when Clary tells Jace that she doesn't feel much of anything at the moment that Jace admits that he thinks that the whole emotions cloud judgment mentality may be unhealthy considering where it landed him.
- I liked that when Clary asked Jace how he was feeling about Jocelyn's death since they think she's his mother too that Jace tells her he wishes that he had more time with her so that she could get to know him as something more than an experiment gone wrong.
- I think it's a bad idea for Clary to go to Iris to bring her mother back from the dead since Magnus said he won't do it, it seems like that kind of magic is something that shouldn't be done at all.
- I get why Clary thinks that Iris's idea of her owing her a favor at a later date doesn't sound like such a bad idea because Iris phrase it in a way where it sounds like she would ask for something completely reasonable and legal.
- I liked that when Simon went back home and talked to his mom that he made sure to tell her that he appreciates her and that he wants to move back home.
- I hate that Aldertree is punishing Jace for not letting him die instead of getting back the mortal sword.
- I like that Magnus can tell right away that Alec isn't okay when he shows up even though Alec insists otherwise.
- I like that Alec asks Magnus how he is doing after sending Camille to the Clave and I liked that when Magnus tells him that it was really hard for him that Alec told him it wasn't weird to hear him talk about it.
- I liked that Magnus tells Alec that it wasn't his fault that a demon possessed him and that he will find a way to make things right with Clary even though it feels impossible right now.
- I like that Jace tells Clary that her idea to bring Jocelyn back is a bad one since people who are brought back from the dead are usually not brought back right.
- I really can't blame Simon's sister for thinking something is seriously wrong with him since he seems to be afraid of sunlight now and has real blood in his room.
- I liked that during the scene where Jace and Izzy were training that there asking each other how Alec and Clary were doing and that they also asked each other how they were going.
- I liked that when Jace notices that Izzy's wound isn't entirely healed that he tells her that she should go to medical to get it checked out so that it heals right.
- I find it interesting that Izzy used to want to be an iron sister when she was younger until she found out that she would have to swore off boys which is why she wants to go on the mission to meet them so badly.
- I really hate how Aldertree gives Izzy yin fen without explaining to her what it is and giving it to her at all since it's clear an addictive drug that could cause her serious harm in the future.
- I'm glad that Alec told Clary how sorry he is for what happened with Jocelyn and that he would do anything to take it back.
- I think that if Alec wasn't feeling so guilty about his role in Jocelyn's death he never would've agreed with Clary's plan to bring back her mom but it seems like feeling guilty completely destroys his judgment.
- I like that Alec seems to be confused by the idea that Iris would assume that he's Clary's boyfriend because I guess he thinks it should be obvious that he's gay now that he's out.
- I like that once they get to Iris's that Alec starts to notice that something is not right about the way that Iris's place but sadly he still feels like he owes it Clary to go along with her plan.
- I think it makes sense that when Simon tells his mom that he's a vampire that she thinks that he's crazy because he really didn't offer her any proof that what he was saying was the truth.
- I like that Alec ends up befriending the little warlock girl named Madize who he compliments on her gills.
- I like that Clary decides to back out of the deal with Iris to bring her mom back when she notices the bird Iris brought back earlier came back wrong.
- I think it's horrible that Iris expected that Clary would allow a demon to rape and give birth to a warlock.
- I like that Alec tried to find and save Clary once he realized what was happening there even though he didn't end up being much help.
- I like that Clary was somehow shown a new rune that allowed her to shoot sunlight out of her hand and for her to save herself and kill the demon.
- I understand why Simon's mom is super freaked out when she finds out that Simon was telling the truth about being a vampire.
- I felt bad for Clary when she finally realized that her mom was dead when she had to say her mom's name during rite of mourning and I liked that when she couldn't finish saying the name that Jace did it for her and that he held her as she cried.

TV Review: Shadowhunters: Day of Wrath(2.04)
Shadowhunters: Day of Wrath(2.04)Review
- I think that the city of bones jail area is very creepy looking and sounding which I think is quite fitting for a prison.
- I like that the first thing that Jace asks Clary when she visits him is if Alec is okay and that he only starts to talk about them after he's assured that Alec is alright.
- I liked how when Clary tells Jace that she's feels like it's her fault that he's in there that he tells her it's not.
- I liked that when Jace told Clary that she shouldn't ever come see him again because he's Valentine's weapon and Valentine knows that Clary's his weakness which will mean that he'll come to get Jace again and put anyone near him in danger that Clary is tells him that if Valentine comes they should just fight him off together.
- I like that when Jace tells Clary that they can't have any kind of relationship with each other that she's unwilling to accept that.
- I liked that Alec thanked Magnus for all he did to keep him alive last episode and told him that even though Jace was the one that pulled him out of his coma what Magnus did, did help him and he was aware of it.
- I find it a little sad how Alec still trusts the Clave's legal system to be just and believes that since Jace was never on Valentine's side that means that he has nothing to fear from the Clave but since the Clave is corrupted Alec's trust in their judgment is sadly misplaced.
- I liked that Alec and Magnus were planning to go off on their first date before Alec was told that he was needed for a mission and I liked that they were both so excited about going on a date with each other.
- I like that Jocelyn wants Clary to move to Idris with her after she gets the order from the Clave she has to move their to prove her loyalty to them and I like that Clary isn't sure if she wants to move their with her mom because on the one hand she doesn't want to loose her mom again right after she got him back but on the other hand she doesn't want to completely leave behind the world she grew up in to move to someplace that she only recently even found out was real.
- I like that Izzy and Alec pretty much ask Clary to be the three member of their team on the mission since Jace is gone right now.
- I liked that Luke helped keep the mundanes away the crime scene were someone was killed by a demon.
- I like that Clary points out to Alec that since she hasn't been training to be a shadowhunter her whole picking up on these things in such a short amount of time are almost impossible and I like that Alec tells her that just means to try again.
- I like when Alec mentions Clary going to Idris that she tells him not to get too excited jut yet since she hasn't made up her mind about going just yet.
- I really didn't like how Aldertree tortured Raphael but I'm not really surprised because it seems like Aldertree only does things that I dislike or hate.
- I like that Simon is trying to reconnect with his family and that he is making the time to try and have dinner with his mom and sister.
- I found Jace's nightmare about how Clary comes to visit him again and he stabs her to be really messed up.
- I find the idea that the silent brothers are able to use some form of mind control to give all the prisoners nightmares to be really creepy.
- I liked how Jace says that he stands by all of his actions both good and bad and is willing to stand the consequences for these actions.
- I like that Hodge tells Jace that he was sorry for what he did and I like that he clear sees now why he was in the wrong back than.
- I liked that when they found a girl that was just possessed by a demon that Alec explained to Clary what just happened and I liked how Clary stepped in and was able to calm down and comforted the girl.
- I liked that when Luke found out that Jocelyn was being forced to move to Idris that he decided that he would move there with her because he doesn't want to go another day being separated from her and I really liked the kiss they shared.
- I like that when Izzy was clearly feeling guilty for putting Jace in the City of Bones that Lydia assured her that she did the right thing and ended up saving both her brothers.
- I liked that Raphael went to Magnus for help after what Aldertree did to him and I liked that Raphael says that he knows it's a lot to ask of Magnus for his help finding and turning Camille into the Clave.
- I liked that Raphael was able to figure out that the box Simon found in Camille's place in India contains her grave dirt which can be used to summon her and that they can open the box with Simon's blood since Camille sired him.
- I find the idea of demon that possesses people and feeds off people's negative emotions being loose in the Institute to be frightening. I liked that it was explained that the demon was only able to get past the wards because of Valentine's experiments on it.
- I like how Izzy tells Clary that she's lucky to have a mom that thinks she's great and wants to spend time with you because it's so clear that Izzy wishes that she had a mom like that.
- I liked that when Clary asked Izzy if she thought that she should go to Idris with her mom and I like that Izzy tells her that she doesn't think that she should go because no one there is going to teach her to fight in heels.
- I was worried for Lydia when Raj was possessed by a demon and attacked her but I was glad that she was able to fend him off until Alec came be and shot him with an arrow which made the demon leave his body.
- I liked that when Simon was trying to assure Magnus that Camille is a bad guy and deserves to pay for her crimes that Magnus admits that he can't defend anything she has done recently only states that she hasn't always been that way.
- I was sad to learn that Magnus almost killed himself in the past but Camille being the one that talked him down from it does explain why it's still so hard for him to turn her in even when he knows that she puts a lot of people in danger just by being free.
- I liked that Jocelyn went to Clary's room to make sure there wasn't a demon there because she wanted to make sure she was safe.
- I liked that Clary tells her mom that she doesn't want to move Idris even though she'll miss her mom once she leaves.
- I really hate how Aldertree keeps asking Jace about his relationship with Clary even though that has nothing to do with the crimes that he is being charged with.
- I really don't understand how Aldertree knows so much about Jace's relationship with Valentine from childhood because there is no reason that he should have that information and it really has nothing to do with trial so I'm confused about why he'd even bring up the details that he shouldn't even have up.
- I think it's pretty awful that Jace was suppose to be sentenced to life in prison just because he's unwilling to blindly follow the Clave even when there in the wrong.
- I felt bad for Clary when she found her mother's dead body and I felt for Alec when he realized that he was the one that did when a demon possessed him.
- I like that Alec tries to apologize to Clary after they see the video of what the demon did in his body but I also like that the only thing Clary can focus on is finding that demon and killing it for what it did.
- I really hate how Camille tries to trick Magnus into letting her go by using his fear of loosing the ones he loves against him but I like that it doesn't work since her actions have put Raphael who he sees as family in danger so he sends her to the Clave.
- I liked that when Valentine claimed that he attacked the City of Bones to rescue him that Jace pointed out that Valentine didn't come for him but for the soul sword.
- I like that even when Jace is looking at spending his entire life in prison that he refuses to go with Valentine even then.
- I was glad to see that Dot was still alive but sad that she was still being forced to work for Valentine.
- I liked that when confronted by Izzy who was possessed that Alec was completely incapable of attacking her and instead only tried to restrain her and then tried to reason with her even though I'm pretty sure that you can't get through to someone who's possessed with an emotional appeal in this universe, I just really love that Alec just can't bare the thought of hurting Izzy.
- I find it a bit odd that Izzy when possessed called Alec the favorite because he never came across that way but I'm guessing she would be talking about their mom and not their dad because their dad obviously favors Izzy but I guess Alec has a little better relationship with their mom than she does.
- I like that Clary was able to get the demon out of Izzy and kill the demon but I was sad by how Clary started to breakdown after that because it's hitting her now that her mom is dead.
- I like that when Simon comes in he goes over to Clary and comforts her even though he doesn't know what's wrong.
- I like that when Jace comes in he goes over to Alec and Izzy to make sure that they are okay.

TV Review: Shadowhunters: Parabatai Lost(2.03)
Shadowhunters: Parabatai Lost(2.03)Review
- I liked that this episode opened with a flash back to when Alec and Jace met for the first time and I liked that it established how Jace isn't used to really interacting with people his own age, that Alec is already having it drilled into his head that isn't good enough by his parents and that Jace is more advanced at the hunting aspects of shadowhunting than most were at his age.
- I liked how Magnus explained that since the parabatai bond is made from an angelic sort of magic there really isn't much his magic can do to help Alec and I like that he explains that Alec needs to see Jace because part of his soul is missing since it got stuck when he was trying to track Jace at the end of last episode.
- I think it was really bad luck for Jace that he happened to wash up on shore right next to Gretel's body and I can't really blame the woman that saw him for assuming that he was the one that killed her.
- I like that Simon's mom figured out that he wasn't actually living in the dorms and that he now has to find away to explain where he's been without telling her the truth.
- I like that Luke didn't assume right away that Jace was the one that killed Gretel although I can't blame for not crossing that out as a possibility.
- I liked that Magnus called Jocelyn out for her habit of using people to get what she wants even though what she does often puts other people in danger.
- I liked that Clary lied to Aldertree about not remembering anything about seeing Jace because she didn't him to send a bunch of people out to kill Jace again.
- I liked that when Izzy was explaining to Clary what was happening to Alec that she worried that the same thing could be happening to Jace which mean he couldn't swim but Izzy assured her that Jace isn't dead because Alec's parabatai rune would have faded if that was the case.
- I like how Izzy told Clary that the only thing that is keeping Alec alive right now is Magnus's magic but since he won't be able to use it indefinitely they need to find Jace quickly.
- I found Maia's introduction in this episode to be quite charming despite the many problems I do have with her through out this episode.
- I like that as soon as Clary tells Jace about how Alec needs him Jace promises to get there even though he knows that the Clave wants him dead right now.
- I felt annoyed with Maia when she pretty much demand that Jace help out the werewolves with their problems right now and calls him selfish when he says he can't because all Jace wants to do is make sure Alec is okay which isn't something that is selfish at all.
- I felt really bad for Jace when all the werewolves started attacking him because they assumed he was the one that killed Gretal but I do find it funny how annoyed Jace seems to be with the whole situation.
- I like that the reason that Raphael wants Simon to be the one to find Camille is because he is the only vampire sired by her that hasn't joined her side.
- I really don't like how Raphael told Simon that his family doesn't mean anything to him now that he's a vampire and I like that Simon disagrees with this way of thinking.
- I like that Simon was worrying about his mom when he saw evidence that she was drinking again and I like that he called Clary for help on finding his mom, I liked that Izzy told Clary that she should go and help Simon.
- I like that Luke told Maia and another werewolf that he isn't as sure as they are that Jace killed Gretel and that no one is killing anyone until he says they can.
- I really hate how Aldertree seems to want Alec to die and I really don't understand why he would want one of the best shadowhunters this institute has to die when they have a war that is likely to happen very soon.
- I like that in the flashback to when they are teenagers that Jace is very excited about becoming parabatai because he believes that would make him and Alec really like brothers and I like that Alec is clearly hesitant to become parabatai because of this reason since he had romantic feelings for Jace at that time.
- I really love how even when Jace seems like he's on the verge of bleeding out he still only cares about getting to Alec and making sure that he is okay.
- I like that Clary suggests to Simon that he tells his mom the truth about him being a vampire so that he doesn't have to avoid seeing his mom anymore.
- I like that the doctor mentioned that there was something weird about Jace's blood because it must be quite different from mundane's blood look under a microscope.
- I found Maia's transformation into a wolf to be quite frightening to watch and kind of impressive as well.
- I like that Jace's first concern when Maia transform was making sure that the mundane that was him was safe.
- I like that Jocelyn saved Jace from Maia but I don't blame Jace for not being willing to accept her help since the last time they saw each other she was trying to kill him.
- I like that Jocelyn pointed out that the Clave can be reasoned with but the werewolves can't be because from what I've seen of this series that is a very true statement.
- I don't like that Izzy had to make a deal with Aldrtree in order to keep Jace from being killed by the werewolves but I understand why she did it and I think that deal is the only way that she could assure that both of her brothers made it through this thing alive.
- I liked that when Magnus ran out of things he could think to do to wake up Alec that he kissed him hopping that maybe it was like sleeping beauty and true love's kiss could wake him up but of course it doesn't.
- I liked that in the flash back when Alec was telling Izzy that he wasn't sure if he could go through with the parabatai ceremony that she told him that him and Jace work best together but they aren't meant be lovers and that one day he would find someone who would love all of him in way that Jace never could.
- I think that when Clary kisses Simon on the cheek when she tells him goodbye after encouraging him to tell his mother the truth about him being a vampire is the first time that she shows romantic feelings for him in the series.
- I don't like how Raphael threatens to hurt Simon's mom if he doesn't find Camille fast enough but I do like that Simon decided to move back home after hearing these threats.
- I like that Clary tells Luke that Jace isn't the one that killed Gretel and that this leads to Luke calling his wolves off.
- I find it a bit sad how Jace is willing to let Maia and the other werewolves kill him but he won't allow them to until after he saves Alec's life.
- I like that Izzy arrives just in time to save Jace from the werewolves but I also like that she told him not to thank her yet because of the deal she made with Aldertree,
- I like that we saw Jace and Alec's parabatai ceremony and we saw them saying the oath in flash back while Jace said it present day hoping that saying it would be what would bring Alec back to them.
- I liked that when Jace thought that he lost Alec that he hugged him and told him please don't leave me while crying and I was so glad that Alec woke up a moment after that.
- I liked that when Jace and Alec saw that each other was okay that they hugged and that they were both clearly crying because they were so relieved that the other was okay.
- I liked that when Jace was arrested at the end and Alec asked what was going on that Jace said everything was okay because Alec was safe and that's all that really matters.

TV Review: Shadowhunters: A Door Into the Dark(2.02)
Shadowhunters: A Door Into the Dark(2.02)Review
- I find it a bit disturbing how Valentine has been right about how the Clave is very good at doing their jobs which is why that vampire den was able to survive as long as it did.
- I like that Jace is clinging to the law now that he is with Valentine because while he hasn't been all that respectful of the law in the past back then he was sure of what the right thing to do was while now he isn't sure of anything anymore.
- I dislike how Aldtree seems to let Lydia be the head of the institute when something goes wrong simply because he doesn't want to deal with the fact that something could go wrong on his watch.
- I liked that when Clary and Jocelyn were fighting that Simon tried to keep the peace between the two of them.
- I like that Clary is mad at her mom for trying to kill Jace and for still keeping things from her even though she had just promised to not do that anymore. I like that Clary doesn't buy Jocelyn's explanation that Jace is evil because he has demon blood because Clary knows good downworlders.
- I really don't get how Jocelyn believed her child is evil because he made some flowers shrivel up because he was a baby with uncontrollable powers back then who had no idea what he was doing.
- I dislike how Aldtree tries to get Simon to find out about how that vampire den came to be and threatened him to find out about it and report back to him.
- I like that Clary tried to check with Alec was okay but I really think she should've known that Alec would lash out at her because he's upset, already dislikes her most of the time and her mom did just try to kill Jace.
- I think that Alec was right when he pointed out that he has known Jace for way longer than Clary has and that he really doesn't know anything about her so he doesn't really have a whole lot of reasons to trust her but I think that he was way too hard on Clary when he told her that she didn't belong here with them and she never will, I also like that Izzy tried to get Alec to stop but it didn't really help.
- I think it makes a lot of sense that Valentine is taking people who have already proven themselves as fighters to become shadowhunters.
- I feel bad for Clary when she wasn't allowed to help out with the mission because she is too inexperienced and too close to the situation and I felt even worse for her when after she tried to join Izzy and Alec that Alec once again told her that she didn't have a place with them.
- I felt bad for Clary when she told Izzy that Alec's right she doesn't really belong here and she's not really a shadowhunter like they are and I like that Izzy told her that wasn't true and that no matter what happens she'll always belong with her.
- I really dislike how much Luke's pack is against Simon staying near their places because it's so clear he has no where else to go and he hasn't hurt them in anyway so I just don't get why they dislike him so much.
- I understand why Raphael is mad that Simon accidently got him in trouble with Clave because Simon implied that the higher ups among the vampires would know about the den and that the Clave blames him now while Camille is the one who is actually responsible for it. I dislike that Raphael is making Simon find Camille but I understand why he thinks that Simon should be the one to bring her in.
- I like that when Jace saw another young shadowhunter on Valentine's ship that he assumed that he wasn't there willingly and that when it became apparent that he believed in Valentine it's clear that Jace just can't understand why he would choose to be here.
- I like that Jace refuses to join Valentine's hunt for innocent downworlders because he knows that he's wrong about them.
- I liked that when some guy tries to flirt with Izzy that Alec tells him that it's funny he thinks he has a chance with her and that he was willing to fight that guy to defend Izzy's honor but I liked it even more when Izzy fought the guy herself and totally kicked his ass while Alec just watched her looking really proud her.
- I liked how Simon went to Magnus for help with tracking down Camille since he's the only person Simon knows that knows Camille as well as Raphael does and I like that Magnus points out that he knows her better than Raphael does.
- I like that Magnus tells Simon that trying to find Camille is a bad idea and that one of Camille's favorite things to do is to hold grudges.
- I find it creepy how Valentine's followers are so devoted to him that if they are captured they will kill themselves rather than answer questions about him.
- I like that when Clary left the institute she went back to the art school she was accepted into because she wanted to feel normal again.
- I like that Luke told Jocelyn that she should've been honest with Clary in the first place and that she should've been honest with him as well.
- I like how Jocelyn tells Luke that she needs him to talk to Clary for her because she believes that she's more likely to listen to him than she is to her.
- I liked that when Magnus is at Camille's place that he keeps finding things that are his and collecting them to take back home with him.
- I like that when Magnus tells Simon to deal with Camille on his own that Simon then sarcastically says why would you need a powerful warlock when you have a scrappy nerd from Brooklyn, I just find the line to be quite funny.
- I like that Magnus told Simon that he shouldn't be so afraid because as a vampire he's a lot stronger than he thinks he is.
- I like how Clary tells her mom and Luke how she doesn't really feel like she belongs anywhere anymore because she's not a mundane and she isn't really a shadowhunter either.
- I was very happy to see that Dot was still alive but I'm sad that she has been forced to work with Valentine.
- I find it funny how Alec suggests to Izzy that they just take a ship out and see if they run into anything as a way to find Valentine.
- I like that when Jocelyn comes up with a way to find Jace that Alec doesn't trust her at first because he doesn't really have a reason to but agrees to it because they don't really have a better way at tracking Jace.
- I liked that when Clary first appears that Jace doesn't trust that it's really her and that she has to tell him a memory that only she would have in order to prove it's really her.
- I like that Jace only agreed to go on the hunt with Valentine in order to makes sure that Clary didn't go on it in his place.
- I liked that when Izzy finds out that Alec could die from the using the stone to track Jace that she tried to convince him not do because in her mind it's not worth risking his life but Alec believes that he can't live without Jace so he doesn't mind risking his life to find him.
- I like that Simon was finally able to use his encanto against a fire breathing snake that Magnus thinks of as his baby.
- I like that Clary was able to convince Dot to help her and Jace escape from Valentine while using their past relationship to connect with her.
- I like that Magnus told Simon that since he was alone when he had to figure out the downworld that he vowed to himself that he would help anyone who was in a similar position and that he tells Simon that he'll try and help him out.
- I was glad that Clary was able to get through to Jace and that the two of them escape thanks to Dot helping them.
- I was very worried about Alec when he went too deep when trying to track Jace and is now convulsing because of it.

TV Review: Shadowhunters: This Guilty Blood(2.01)
Shadowhunters: This Guilty Blood(2.01)Review
- I like that they showed a bunch of dead bodies of people who drank from the cup but died instead of becoming a shadowhunter because it shows that Valentine is already killing so many people by just creating his army and it explains why the cup isn't generally used to create more shadowhunters.
- I like that when Jace sees Clary show up on Valentine's boat that his first thought is that she has to leave because he knows it's not safe for her there and I like that he protects her from Valentine and his men.
- I really like the new designs that the seraph blades have because they look more like swords although they look a little less supernatural since they don't light up as much.
- I think it's really screwed up how Valentine had a couple of his followers use the shape shifter rune to pretend to be him so that Jace would get to kill him only to be faced with him again and I think it was especially screwed up that Valentine used the shape shifter rune to pretend to be Clary to test Jace's loyalty which isn't to Valentine because he doesn't deserve it.
- I think the thing that makes it clear that Clary isn't really Clary in the boat scene is that she doesn't once try and help Jace kill Valentine which is something that she has always been known to try in the past.
- I understand why Jace being missing is very upsetting for Alec but I really don't like the way that he is lashing out at everyone around him when they're just trying to help.
- I liked that Clary confronted her mom about how she lied to her about who she really was and who are father was her whole life and I liked that Jocelyn promised that she wouldn't lie to her anymore.
- I liked that Clary told her mom about how her brother is still alive while clearly believing that she would see this as a good thing while it's clear that Jocelyn isn't reacting the way that Clary thought she would.
- I really do think that anyone who doesn't have a parabatai can understand what it's like to have one who you know is in trouble and you also have no way to help them because as Alec says Jace is a part of him and that's a kind of connection that I feel needs be experience to be understood.
- I felt bad for Simon when Jocelyn found out that he has became a vampire and she flinches away from him.
- I don't really understand why Maryse thought it was a good idea to go behind Lydia's back and get her replaced by Aldtree.
- I liked that when Clary realized that the institute being on lockdown means that no one will be looking for Jace and I like that Izzy tells her that Jace is tough so he won't break under Valentine.
- I dislike that Clary accidently told Aldtree something that makes it sound like Jace could have went with Valentine willingly.
- I felt so bad for Jace when he was being tortured by Valentine and I think it's really screwed up how after Valentine was done having him tortured he cooked him spaghetti and tried to bond with him.
- I like that Jace tried to kill Valentine by throwing a knife at him but I wasn't surprised when Valentine wasn't killed so easily.
- I like that Jace was mad at Valentine for faking his own death and keeping the fact that he had a mother from him and I like that Jace thought that Valentine's explanations about how seeing his father be killed made him stronger just further proves how awful Valentine is as a father and a person in general.
- I liked that Jace told Valentine that the ones that made him strong wasn't him but the Lightwoods who took him in and trained him, I just always love when Jace claims the Lightwoods as his true family.
- I think the rune that allows you force your memories into someone else's head is really creepy and I'm not surprised that Valentine would use it.
- I feel bad for Jace when Valentine tells him he experimented on him by inserting demon blood into him before he was born.
- I like that Magnus pointed out to Alec that Alec came out for himself and not for Magnus because that is true and I think it's important to acknowledge that.
- I dislike that Aldtree essentially put out a kill order on Jace because he suspects that Jace could be willingly working with Valentine despite the fact that everyone that knows him best is telling him that he's not.
- I dislike how Aldtree kicked Simon out of the institute right before dawn when he knows that Simon has nowhere to go but luckily Luke is still there and offers to take Simon back to the Jade Wolf with him.
- I dislike how Jocelyn thinks that the kill order out on Jace is perfectly okay and I like that Clary doesn't understand why her mother would think that.
- I dislike how Aldtree threatened to derune Izzy and Alec because they don't agree with the kill order that he put out on Jace.
- I like that Luke tells Simon be bold and tell Clary that he has feelings for her.
- I dislike how the other members of Luke's pack lock Simon up in a boat house.
- I like that Jace called out Valentine for experimenting with demon blood on his own son and I dislike how Valentine then goes on to tell Jace that all downworlders will give into their demonic urges and I like that Jace tells him that he knows plenty of good downworlders and that if downworlders are so evil for having demon blood then it makes no sense why he would experiment on his own son with it.
- I liked that Izzy helps Clary with her training and then told her how she had to sneak out of the institute by using the shape shifter rune and I like how Izzy references the Art of War to tell Clary this.
- I liked that when Maryse tries to convince Alec to cut Jace out of his life that Alec points out that Jace is a part of him and if he dies a part of him dies and that he doesn't give up on someone just because they are hard choice.
- I like that when Clary goes to Luke for help after she escapes the institute that he calls Jocelyn to let her know that Clary is.
- I dislike how Jocelyn tricked Clary into giving her, her stele and her phone before locking her and Simon in the boat house.
- I liked that Alec told Magnus that he's sorry for how he has been lashing out him since Jace has gone missing and I like that Magnus accepted it and told Alec to not push him a way when things get crazy.
- I liked that Clary and Simon talked about how crazy their lives have become in the last couple of weeks and I like that Simon almost confessed to Clary that he's in love with her but he doesn't get to in the end.
- I dislike how Valentine uses a vampire and her den of vampires to prove that the Clave isn't enough to keep the downworld in check to Jace because while he's right in this instance he isn't right overall.
- I liked that when Clary told Simon that he has to run faster that he pointed out that he was running slow so that she could keep up with him.
- I dislike how Jocelyn tried to kill Jace and while I'm thankful that Valentine took an arrow for him, I don't like the reason that he did it which is to prove to Jace that he cares for him while no one else ever will.
- I like that Clary is mad at her mom for nearly killing Jace because she should be.

TV Review: Shadowhunters: Morning Star(1.13)
Shadowhunters: Morning Star(1.13)Review
- I like that Clary tells Jace that one of the few things that she is sure of is that Jace is a good person and nothing like Valentine.
- I like that Jace points out to Clary that they're different because Clary was raised by Jocelyn while was raised by Valentine.
- I like that Clary and Jace go to Simon for help on getting a meeting Camille so that she can tell them where the book of the white is.
- I like that Alec was concerned when no one had seen Lydia for hours after the wedding had ended.
- I dislike how Robert brings up Magnus reputation of getting around as a reason that Alec shouldn't date him but I like that Alec decides that he wants to get know Magnus for himself rather than listen to rumors about him.
- I feel bad for Magnus when he thinks that Alec might regret coming out but honestly I don't think Alec regrets it, he just feels overwhelmed by it.
- I'm glad that Lydia seems like she is going to be okay since when Alec and Magnus found her she could tell them that Hodge was the one behind the attack.
- I like that Jace, Izzy and Alec all feel betrayed by Hodge betraying them and stealing the cup for Valentine.
- I feel a bit bad for Hodge when Valentine refuses to take him back after he gives him the cup but I also feel like he deserves to get screwed over since he is a traitor.
- I like that Clary is worried that Jace is letting his anger is ruling him when it comes to Hodge and Valentine.
- I like that Luke feels angry when he finds out that Hodge is helping Valentine again while he had to walk right passed him to get out of the institute.
- I really can't blame Raphael for not being willing to allow them to speak to Camille considering that Camille is a big threat to the vampires safety and is completely unwilling to help others unless there's something in it for her.
- I actually understand both Jace and Hodge's anger with Jace being mad that Hodge betrayed them despite them treating him like family while Hodge feels enraged that he couldn't leave the institute while Maryse and Robert cut a deal and he got blamed for their crimes and they got off with a slap on the wrist.
- I like that Alec stopped Jace from killing Hodge and I like that Alec was able to calm Jace down at least a little bit for a moment when he remind Jace that his parents are Jace's parents because they raised him.
- I don't think that Jace and Valentine talking to each other is a good idea because Valentine is very good at getting into Jace's head.
- I like seeing Clary and Simon working together to break out Camille even though I don't think what their doing is the smart thing to do.
- I like that Alec tells Luke that he's worried about how Valentine is getting to Jace and I like how when Luke mentions he remembers something similar happening with Valentine that Alec tells him that Jace isn't like Valentine.
- I dislike how Camille uses how she's Simon sire as a way of showing that she still has power over him.
- I like how Alec tries to talk Jace down from going after Valentine by himself, sadly he is unable to get through to him.
- I really can't blame Raphael for being angry at Simon for freeing Camille because that is a huge betrayal.
- I like that Clary keeps telling Camille that she wants to kill her and I really can't blame her for wanting to.
- I dislike how Camille demands that Simon signs a document that claims that he asked her to turn him so that she won't get in trouble with clave for killing and turning Simon.
- I really hate the way that Camille does her best to get in Magnus's head and tries to convince him that he'll never find love and if he ever does it won't last.
- I like that both Clary and Alec are concerned about Jace because they know he's in a bad place right now but since they don't where he is they plan to stay on mission of finding the book of the white.
- I dislike how Valentine decides to go after the people that Jace cares about rather than Jace himself because it will make things easier for him.
- I'm not surprised at all that Camille disappeared as soon as she got what she wanted and without fulfilling her end of the bargain.
- I like that Clary found the book of the white disguised as a cook book that she remembers from her childhood.
- I think that Valentine is delusional in his belief that Clary and Jocelyn would ever choose to join him.
- I hate that Valentine is forcing Jace to come with him by threatening to kill the people he cares about but I like that Jace is willing to do that to save all of them.
- I like that Simon tells Clary that he believes that love makes you stronger not weaker and that they'll use that to get through to Jace.
- I like that what concerns Alec most about what Camille said was that Magnus does have to watch the people he loves age and die, I just like that Alec is more concerned about the pain that Magnus feels when he looses someone rather than fearing that he'll leave him when he gets older.
- I like that Jocelyn was woken up in the end and that Luke held her in a bridal hold as she woke up.
- I like that Clary tells her mom that she doesn't want to get into the whole her lying to her for her whole life but more being happy that she's back and telling her that she really needs her mom right now.

TV Review: Shadowhunters: Malec(1.12)
Shadowhunters: Malec(1.12)Review
- I like that Izzy decided to support Alec's decision to get married because he supported her through her trial.
- I like that Izzy is concerned about how Jace and Alec are both refusing to talk to each other right now.
- I like that Clary thanks Alec for everything that he's done to help her find her mother and that Alec thanks Clary for returning the cup which ended up saving Izzy from being exiled, I like that they find getting along to feel a bit odd.
- I like that Magnus questioned Alec on what is honorable about living a lie when Alec claimed that honor was one of the reasons that he was getting married.
- I liked that Magnus told Alec that he would stop pushing if Alec could tell him that he was in love with Lydia which Alec of course isn't, I like that it's clear that to Magnus the only reason people should get married is if they love each other while Alec clearly believes differently because he's getting married for every reason but love.
- I liked how Magnus described to Alec what the symptoms of falling in love were and I like that Alec was clearly effected by his speech but he pushes him away none the less because he feels like he needs to go through with getting married to save his family and his career.
- I liked that when Clary invited Simon to the wedding that she told him that he was the person she is closest to in the entire world.
- I find the conversation that Clary and Jace have about her training to be pretty awkward which makes sense since they no longer know how to behave around each other.
- I liked that when Magnus mentioned that he wished they had cocktails that Clary pointed out that it's nine am yet Magnus didn't see the problem with that.
- I liked that Magnus was offend that Hodge thinks that Ragnor is more powerful than him.
- I like that Clary wants to talk to Jace about how they feel about learning that their siblings while Jace doesn't since it doesn't change anything, I also like that Clary pointed out that they didn't do anything wrong since they had know way of knowing they were related.
- I like that Izzy wants to throw Alec a bachelor party and that he wants nothing to do with one.
- I like that Jace thinks of Maryse as his true mother because she was the one that raised him, I just love it whenever Jace says that the Lightwoods are his true family.
- I like that Clary believes that her mother would never abandon her son while Jace doesn't believe her.
- I like that Clary was able to find Ragnor in the painting because of her artist eye.
- I like that Clary offering Ragnor anything if helped her was the reason he decided to help her by telling her how he needed the book of the white in order to wake her mother.
- I was sad that Ragnor died so shortly after we met him but since we barely knew him I mostly just feel bad for Magnus has been friends with him for centuries.
- I liked that Clary and Jace figured out that there is a mole in the institute sadly they suspect the wrong person of the crime.
- I like that Clary and Izzy stop Jace from confronting Lydia about being the mole because he is far too angry right now.
- I don't think that Clary did a good job of lowering Lydia's guard because she accused her far to easily of being the mole so Lydia was of course defensive right away.
- I like that Clary feels that it's wrong for Alec to live a lie and can't understand why Lydia would be willing to marry him while knowing that Alec will never love her the way a husband should love a wife, I like that Lydia understand why Alec is doing what he's doing and she respects how much he loves his family.
- I like that Izzy went to Simon for advice about what goes on at bachelor party and I like that Simon tells her about how what there really about his best friends being there for each other.
- I liked that Izzy's idea for a bachelor party is to basically lock Alec and Jace in a room together because she knows that they need to make up.
- I like that Jace admits to Alec that he has been doing a lot of crazy things lately that has caused a lot of problems but he never wanted to hurt Alec and he's sorry if he did.
- I like that when Jace was saying that there was something wrong with him since he was falling in love with Clary that Alec tells them there's nothing wrong with him and he understands what that's like and considering that he was in love with Jace who is his adoptive brother I think he does understand better than just anyone else would.
- I like that Alec tells Jace that he understands what it's like to live your life one way always fulfilling your duty until you meet someone who changes the way you think and knocks you off that path, while clearly talking about his feelings for Magnus. I also strangely like that Alec's response to those feelings is to try harder to stay on the path of your duty because he feels that is what's most important.
- I like that even though Jace knows that Alec's marriage won't make him happy that he's still happy to give Alec a way at his wedding because it speaks to the bond they share with each other.
- I like that Ragnor's ghost or something came back to talk to Magnus about his past loves and how if Magnus falls in love again that he should fight for it as hard as he can. I like the brief insights we see in how Magnus sees love with him clearly wanting it but also believing Camille is right that he's destined to never have it.
- It made me a bit sad for Alec when his mom tells him that she's proud of him for getting married to someone he doesn't love to save his family's reputation because that's not something that a mother should be proud of.
- I liked that when Magnus walked in that Jace and Izzy were gossiping with each other about what's going on despite the fact that there on the alter, I just find that detail a little funny.
- I like that after seeing Magnus walk in that Alec realizes that he can't deny his feelings for Magnus anymore and that getting married to Lydia isn't the right thing to do and I like that Lydia understands that and that she gives him her blessing to go after Magnus.
- I liked that Alec walked up to Magnus and just kissed him right in front of everyone despite having feared anyone finding out that he was gay for so long.
- I liked that Magnus told Alec after he kissed him that he never ceases to amaze him.
- I liked that Alec started panicking about what he just did right after he did it because that was a pretty big statement he just made and he did it on impulse and he never does anything on impulse.
- I like that Izzy tells Alec how proud she is of him and I like how Simon compares Alec and Magnus to The Graduate.
- I like that Jace tells Lydia that she would always have a place with them because of what she did when she let Alec go to pursue his own happiness.
- I like that Jace realizes that he can't keep pushing Clary away but he still doesn't know how to deal with her after what Valentine told them.
- I dislike that Hodge knocked Lydia out and stole the cup from her in order to give it to Valentine in exchange for his freedom.
- I'm worried about Jace with how he keeps saying there's a darkness in him and how thinks maybe he belongs by Valentine's side.
- I dislike how Maryse makes Alec coming out all about it effects her and barely even acknowledges what he just revealed to everyone.
- I like that Robert at least tries to understand Alec's relationship with Magnus even though it does seem odd to him.
- I find it a bit funny how Alec almost told his dad that right now his feelings for Magnus is more about lust than love since it's so new but I'm glad that Magnus saved Alec from saying something that would've made them all feel really awkward.
- I like that Alec and Magnus agree to go for drinks together and that they're both really happy about the idea of it.
- I like how Luke tells a comatose Jocelyn how Alec's coming out and kissing a downworlder shows that the world is changing and that he hopes that someday that means their relationship can be accepted.

TV Review: Shadowhunters: Blood Calls to Blood(1.11)
Shadowhunters: Blood Calls to Blood(1.11)Review
- I thought Jace being confused about how his father is still alive after he saw Valentine murder him years ago and I like that he was a little hesitant to believe he was really who he said he was until he mentioned a specific memory that they shared.
- I feel bad for Izzy that she's being used as a scape goat for the Clave since they want the cup but I don't think her just completely giving up is going to help matters so I'm really glad that Alec is still trying to find ways to stall the trial or find someone who can help her get the charges dropped.
- I liked that Luke is still helping Simon to adapt to his new life of being a vampire by trying to make him feel more normal about drinking blood.
- I liked that Clary brought Jace to Luke when she didn't where to take him after seeing that Jace needed to go somewhere to recover from his wounds.
- I like that Luke was shocked to see Michael as well since he too thought that he was killed by Valentine years ago.
- I like that Simon blackmailed Raphael in order to get Clary the blood that Jace needed for a transfusion and I like that Raphael seemed both annoyed and impressed by how Simon blackmailed him.
- I dislike how Imogen wanted to make the trial happen as soon as possible despite the fact what the Clave really wants is the cup which they won't get by prosecuting Izzy.
- I dislike how Imogen keeps shaming Lydia and then she pretends to act confuse when Lydia says sorry which is something that it seemed like she wanted Lydia to tell her.
- I like that Clary finds it odd how Michael says that Valentine asked him about Jocelyn despite the fact that Valentine has believed for years that she was dead.
- I like that Clary brings up to Jace that she thinks that there's something off about his father and I like that she also brings up how messed up it was that his father killed his falcon when he was a child although Jace claims that's a perfectly normal way for a shadowhunter to treat their children a lesson, Clary and I aren't convinced.
- I like how Clary was thinking about how her and Jace's alternate selves were in love and she's wondering if they are on their way to being in love as well and I really enjoyed the passionate kissed they shared after that conversation.
- I find it a bit suspicious just how much Michael was able to find out about Valentine's current plans while he was held prisoner.
- I like that Clary was able to convince Jace that he needed to rest and that her and Luke went to scout the location rather than her and Jace.
- I liked that after Izzy declared that she would rather by stripped of her runes than he be part of a society that values law over justice that Alec told her that this sentiment won't mean much to her when she's being chased by demons without shadowhunter powers or weapons that would help her fight them.
- I like that Izzy wants to have Magnus to be the one to defend her in court and I like that when Alec assumes that a downworlder can't defend a shadowhunter that Magnus points out that they can because the Clave didn't bother to discriminate against them because the idea that a shadowhunter would want a downworlder to defend them was just too unfathomable for them.
- I liked that when Magnus jokingly told Alec that the price he'd have to pay would be himself that Alec didn't take the remark seriously for a second.
- I think that the reason that Magnus decides that the payment should be Alec's bow and quiver is because he knows Alec values it and he wants to hurt Alec just a tiny bit since Alec has broke his heart a little bit.
- I like that Clary tells Luke that she thinks that something is off about Michael and I like that Luke actually gives Clary more information that makes her doubt Michal's story.
- I find it very concerning how Michael keeps telling Jace that he let himself become weak and that he tries to convince Jace that his relationship with Clary is part of the reason that he's weak because he doesn't like that Clary has a sway over Jace, so many things about the way that Michael is written tells us that he's abusive.
- I find it interesting it's implied that the soul sword could kill a downworlder if they lie while touching it.
- I don't think that Magnus's arguments about why Izzy shouldn't be on trial were invalid like Imogen said they were but they were ones that the Clave doesn't like since they don't care much about downworlders safety and they don't like having to admit that they're just trying to get the cup.
- I really liked Izzy speech about how the Clave isn't all that different from Valentine with how little they value the life of downworlders and how she thinks it's important for them all to remember that they are also part human.
- I like that when Clary revealed her plan to use the cup to control the demons and Michael said that is what Valentine would want that she said that she'd like to see him try and take it from her.
- I liked that Luke ended up fighting some circle members with seperah blade even though he's no longer a shadowhunter.
- I was so happy for Clary when she finally found her mom but I was sad for her when she realized that she couldn't wake her up.
- I like that when Jace and Michael arrive and tell Clary that they left Luke behind because he told them to that Clary was very much concerned about Luke's safety.
- I like the speech Lydia gave about how she doesn't think the law is right in this case because they are punishing Izzy for being compassionate and I like that this leads Lydia to dropping the case against Izzy.
- I like that Izzy, Alec, Magnus and Lydia were all happy and celebrating after Lydia dropped the charges.
- I dislike how Imogen said that Lydia refusing to prosecute Izzy won't stop the Clave from finding Izzy guilty and that she admits that the only reason they're charging Izzy is because they want the cup, there is a lot wrong with the Clave's legal system which is shown very clearly here.
- I wasn't all that surprised when it turned out that Michael was actually Valentine using the shape shifter rune but I did feel bad for Jace when he found out.
- I love that Clary figured out that Michael was Valentine and that she gave him a fake cup so that he would reveal himself to them and I like that Clary was completely willing to have the demons finish Valentine off right there but Jace insisted that he kill Valentine himself.
- I felt so bad for Jace when Valentine was telling him that he was the one that raised him while pretending to Michael Wayland and I think it's extra awful of him to convince Jace and Clary that their siblings but I understand why Valentine did it since he's an abuser he thought that Clary's influence over Jace might make his own influence weaker so he made sure to create a wedge between the two of them.
- I get why Jace was unable to kill Valentine since he is the man that raised him and I hated how Valentine taunted him for it but I still really wish that Jace could have killed him there and then.
- I like that Clary was perfectly willing to kill Valentine and that the only reason she didn't was because he used Jace has a human shield before escaping through a portal.
- I like that although Alec is clearly furious with Jace that he tried to avoid any kind of confrontation with Jace until Jace insisted that they have one.
- I dislike how Jace tries to tell Alec that he was saving him from himself when he saved Melrion from being tortured because that's not why he did what he did, he did it for Clary and Alec knows this so he makes it clear that he doesn't buy into Jace's reasoning.
- I like that for once Alec tells Jace that he's mad at Jace for the things that he is doing for Clary and that this time he's blaming Jace and not Clary for them.
- I think that it was such a low blow for Alec to refer to Izzy as his sister rather than their sister to Jace and I think that Alec meant it as one.
- I like that Clary was trying to ignore the awkward we're siblings now thing but wondering about how they are going to wake her mom up.
- I find it very concerning that Jace is referring to himself as weak like the way that Valentine was earlier in the episode.
- I liked that Magnus told Izzy that he's sorry that they lost the trial and I like that Izzy then tells him that at least they lost it in style.
- I liked that when Alec came in and told Izzy that Jace and Clary returned with the cup so she's free now that Izzy run up and hugged him and she told him that he knew that they would come back and he tells her he didn't know he just hoped. I just really love the hug that Alec and Izzy shared they're so sweet and love each other so much.
- I liked that Magnus told Alec that if he marries Lydia that they will both be lonely all their lives and that neither of them deserve that and neither does he, I liked that Magnus pointed out to Alec that he wouldn't just be ruining his own life because Alec clear doesn't put much stock in his own happiness so telling him that what he's doing will hurt other people is more likely to get to him.
- I found the scene where Simon is trying to tell Luke that Clary is into Jace and not him to Luke to be somewhat confusing because it sounded like for a second that he was saying that he was in love with some guy because of the way he worded things.
- I think it's a little weird how happy Simon is to learn that Jace is Clary's brother because he's got to know that Clary must be feeling really uncomfortable right now since she was dating Jace.
TV Review: Shadowhunters: The World Inverted(1.10)
Shadowhunters: The World Inverted(1.10)Review
- I find it interesting that the seelies have their own realm that they live in that is connected to the regular world and has connections to other dimensions.
- I liked how Melrion said that Izzy was clearly the smart one in the family after Jace admitted to never really thinking about how portal shards work.
- I find the concept of having to go to another dimension to find the last remaining portal in said dimension in order for Clary to be able to find Valentine because said portal would work differently than regular ones to be an interesting one.
- I like that even though Alec suspects that Izzy was in on the same plan Jace and Clary were to save Melrion that he doesn't seem to be mad at her even though she is a bit mad at him and instead his main concern is about whether or not there is any evidence that could get her arrested.
- I like that Jace is suspicious of Melrion in this episode because throughout the series seelies have shown themselves to very sneaky so it's for the best to be weary of them even when their helping you and especially when they aren't getting anything in return.
- I find it interesting that the alternate dimension is basically a world in which demons have been around for centuries and therefore shadowhunters are all living as mundanes since they have no reason not to and the downworlders are conforming to mundane way of life as well, I think that it's fun to see what life could've been like for these characters in a world without demons.
- I find it interesting that when Clary travels to the other dimension that she well be placed in the body of her alternate self and that she could easily become her alternate self and loose this world's version of herself forever if she doesn't keep herself focus on the task at hand which is an interesting take on dimension hopping that I haven't seen before.
- I felt bad for Simon when he went to visit Luke at the Jade Wolf and found that all the werewolves other than Luke now hate him for being a vampire.
- I liked how Simon told Luke that Raphael isn't the most patient trainer and that he told Simon to go for a walk because he got tried of training him.
- I like how Simon describes become a vampire like going through puberty for a second time and I like that Luke tells him it's sort of the same for new werewolves so he promises to do his best to help Simon out.
- I liked that when Clary was worrying about traveling between dimensions that she asked Jace how much they really know about that and he tells her a little bit and she points out that he's not being all that reassuring.
- I like that Clary makes Melrion promise that he'll allow Jace to go between dimensions once she finds the portal because she'll need help when facing Valentine.
- I liked that when Clary got to the alternate dimension that when she saw the alternate version of Valentine she demand he tell her where her mother is while holding up a butter knife. I like that alt Valentine thought she was cosplaying and he tells her that he really wants to go to one of those conventions one day but alt Jocelyn tells him that he's not allowed to do so.
- I like that alt Magnus's commercial for tarot card readings is so over the top cheesy and I like that seeing it makes Clary remember who she really is.
- I liked that Lydia told Alec she was sorry before she had to arrest Izzy and honestly I kind of can't blame her for it because Izzy did commit high treason so the Clave is well within their rights to arrest her for it.
- I actually disagree with Izzy when she says that Lydia hides behind the law because she hates downworlders because we literally have no evidence that Lydia hates downworlders other than the fact that she followed orders given to her like she legally had to do and I really like how Lydia told Izzy that she doesn't hide behind the law she simply follows it which is something Izzy doesn't do which is the reason she's being arrested.
- I liked that when Clary saw alt Simon that she tried to get him out of the sun right away because she knows in her dimension that he's a vampire.
- I find it a bit funny that alt Izzy has a crush on Valentine which it seems that no one other than alt Alec knows about.
- I'm not surprised that Clary almost lost herself again when she and alt Jace where kissing because that is something that would be hard to resist.
- I like that Simon and Izzy are dating in the alternate dimension and I think that seem really cute together.
- I like that Luke told Simon that Clary will be okay because she is a fighter just like her mom is so she'll make sure she'll get back to them.
- I like that Luke reminds Simon that he can't go back home until he gets his vampire urges under control.
- I think it's interesting that demons are attracted to the alternate dimension because it is a peaceful one.
- I like that is surprised that alt Magnus has two cats and that gets her to remember that she's not in her own dimension.
- I like that at first alt Magnus doesn't believe Clary when she tells him that she's a shadowhunter from another dimension and that she has to draw a picture of a demon to convince him that she's telling the truth.
- I find it interesting that alt Magnus's magic isn't working because he no longer uses it.
- I like that Alec came up with the idea to trade the cup in order to get the charges against Izzy dropped because there is really is no way around the fact that Izzy is guilty of the crimes they are accusing her of so the best way to save her is to get the charges dropped all together.
- I like that alt Magnus is able to wake up his magic to help Clary be touching the portal shard necklace that traveled to the alt dimension with her and I like that he tracked the portal to the institute.
- I like that Alec is mad at Jace for stealing the cup from him because it's the only thing that can save Izzy and he believes that Jace has not only put Izzy in danger by taking it but also the entire shadow world.
- I like that Alec is perfectly willing to risk is parabatai bond with Jace if it means keeping Izzy safe.
- I like that Simon pretends to be behind the demonic murders in order to clear Luke's name with internal affairs.
- I liked that alt Jace was so adorably nervous when he met Clary's father and I feel a bit bad for him since Clary keeps blowing him off because she's from another dimension but he doesn't know that.
- I think it was really bad timing that when Alec tracked Jace was one he was fighting off demons and that tracking made Jace unable to fight them and lead to a demon getting in the alternate dimension which is very bad.
- I liked that alt Alec let alt Magnus into the party because he decided that he wanted to date him.
- I liked that alt Magnus tries to remind Clary of who she really is by magically showing her his cats.
- I like that when alt Jace sees a demon that Clary has to protect him from it and later on comfort him, it was nice to see a bit of a role reversal for these two.
- I'm glad that Jace was able to come to the other dimension in order to help Clary fight off the demon.
- I find it interesting that blood travels with a person when they travel between dimensions which is why when Jace is injured by a demon in alternate dimension he is still injured when he returns to his own dimension.
- I felt bad for Alec and Izzy when he told her that he wasn't able to find Jace or the cup so he has no way of stopping her trial and I like that Izzy tells him that it's okay she knows he did everything he could for her.
- I find it interesting that Clary and Jace find someone who appears to be Jace's father while looking for Valentine.

TV Review: Shadowhunters: Rise Up(1.09)
Shadowhunters: Rise Up(1.09)Review
- I find it a bit sad that Simon clings to that last bit of hope that he's not a vampire when he sees his reflection but Raphael dashes that right away.
- I find it sad how when Simon calls Raphael a monster after he accuses him of turning him only to realize that he too is a monster.
- I like that Raphael realizes that Simon needs time to accept what he is now and that he can't truly help Simon until he's willing to face the truth.
- I like that after Jace hears that Alec is injured that he feels the need to return to the institute right away and I like that Clary's top priority is still finding Simon so Jace tells her that she's right that the two of them have to go their separate ways because Jace needs to be there for Alec and Clary needs to be there for Simon, I also like that Jace suggests that Clary asks Luke for help since werewolves are good trackers.
- I liked that Magnus offered to heal Alec's injury free of charge and expressed his worries about anything bad happening to Alec but I dislike and was unsurprised by how Alec did his best to keep his distance from Magnus and discourage his feelings.
- I'm still unsure of whether or not Melrion and the other seelies were working with Valentine or not because on the one hand the Clave tends to think the worse of downworlders but on the other hand the seelies have admitted that they side with whoever they think has the best chance of winning so who knows what side they truly chose.
- I like that Clary is worried that Simon is going to hate her because she decided to turn him into a vampire since she couldn't live without him.
- I liked that Alec was shown to be taking out his frustrations on a punching bag despite being injured which showed the somewhat self destructive way he deals with his feelings.
- I find it interesting that Alec is the only one that is doubting his parents loyalty after he finds out that they were members of the circle while Izzy and Jace believe that despite their flaws there is no way that they would be traitors again, I just find it interesting that Alec is the only that is feeling angry about how was lied to his whole lie and made to think that he tarnished his family's name by not living up to his parents expectations rather than admitting to that they were the ones that ruined it.
- I thought the scene where Lydia tells Jace and Izzy that she and Alec are engaged to be so awkward for her. I can't blame Jace and Izzy for being angry at Alec for going through with a loveless marriage but at the same time being mad at him isn't helping him any.
- I like how when Simon saw his mom and hugged her that he felt relieved for a moment like since the first time since he awoken he felt normal again just for a moment before he desired to drink her blood although luckily Clary stopped him from biting her.
- I liked that Clary convinced Simon to let her help him through what he was going through by pretending to need his help when they were in front of his mother.
- I liked that when Robert confronted Alec about being engaged to Lydia that Alec tells him that he knows about him and Maryse being circle members and how angry he is that he had it drilled into his head that he was never good enough while growing up when really they were just trying to push him to better so that he could make up for their mistakes and restore their name which they destroyed.
- I kind like that Alec is just stubbornly sticking with his plan to restore the family name despite the fact that everyone else thinks what he's doing is a bad idea.
- I like that Luke tells Simon that he understands what he's going through and that he will be okay once he gets what he needs although it is an adjustment.
- I can't blame Simon for being mad at Clary for deciding to turn him but I also can't blame Clary for doing the only thing she could to keep him in her life because he's her best friend and she loves him.
- I like that when Alec and Izzy were on different sides about Melrion being investigated that Jace refuses to pick aside.
- I find it very suspicious that Melrion doesn't answer a single one of the questions Lydia asks him and instead brings up that Clary has the cup which is something that very few people know which makes me wonder are the seelies working with Valentine since Valentine's men are the only people outside of the main cast that know that Clary has the cup so it's very possible that seelies got that information from them.
- I think that Alec is right that they should turn over the cup but I understand why Jace doesn't want to hand the cup over without telling Clary about it but I do think that he shouldn't have went behind Alec's back and stolen the cup from him in order to give it to Clary.
- I like that when Raphael says that this isn't a hotel that Simon points out that hotel dumort is literally a hotel.
- I liked that Clary used the fact that Raphael needs Simon to prove that Camille broke the accords in order to get him to help her and Simon.
- I get why Izzy and Jace think that Melrion could be innocent and that taking him to the silent brothers which is a process that is tortures to downworlders is going too far but I honestly don't think the clave is wrong about Melrion and the seelies.
- I find it very odd that Alec never found out that Magnus helped Jace and Izzy steal Alec's stele because it seemed like this would come up at some point in the future.
- I think that it's sad how after Alec tells Magnus that he's getting married that Magnus joked about how they should go on a date first because even though he knew it was likely Alec was talking about marrying someone else he was trying stay in denial to keep from getting hurt.
- I like how when Alec describes a marriage with Lydia as a solid partnership that Magnus mockingly calls it hot because Alec is talking about marriage as a business deal while Magnus thinks the only reason someone should marry is because of love, I like how this shows the differences between the two of them.
- I liked that Jace told Izzy that everything that is happening is not her fault and that she shouldn't blame herself.
- I like how Alec expressed doubts about what they were planning to do with Melrion and I like that Lydia admits she doesn't like it either but since she lost her husband because she wasn't willing to do what it takes to get information from a downworlder in the past she can't let herself be too soft on a potential threat.
- I like that Alec and Lydia agree to rule with their heads instead of their hearts and I like that even in the current episode in season 2 that Alec is still ruling with his head because I think in this type of position that's the best way to rule.
- I liked how Clary confessed to Simon that part of the reason that she turned him was because she wanted him to be part of this new world that she was part of but that he wasn't yet but now he is.
- I honestly my opinion on the whole lets save Melrion from the silent brothers is one that is very different now than it was when this episode first aired because back then I wasn't sure of whether or not Melrion was trustworthy but now I'm almost hundred percent certain that he's not based on what is happening in the second half of season two.
- I kind of like that Clary just assumes that Alec would join them soon.
- I liked that Simon pledged his loyalty to Raphael simply because he wants to help Clary and the others save Melrion.
- I like that Alex noticed that something was up as soon as he got close to the city of bones and I like that he did everything he could to complete the mission.
- I do like that Alec told Clary that she doesn't know the first thing about being a shadowhunter is when she says that orders don't matter because orders are a huge part of being a shadowhunter and you can't ignore them whenever your don't like them.
- I like how Alec mentioned that while Jace had always broke the rules that he never broke the law until Clary came along.
- I was a bit surprised when Jace mentioned that he knew that Alec had feelings for him but I really don't think that Jace is right about Alec's feelings for him being the reason behind his actions because I really don't think that's true.
- I like that Alec tells Jace that he won't help him defeat Valentine if it means going against the Clave to do so because he doesn't want to be label a traitor like his parents were.
- I'm glad that Clary helping out Melrion is getting her a way to get to Valentine but the fact that Melrion is the one that suggested that to be how he repaid her for saving him is slightly suspicious.

TV Review: Shadowhunters: Bad Blood(1.08)
Shadowhunters: Bad Blood(1.08)Review
- I liked how Izzy used her whip to get the cup away from Clary and Jace when they were talking to each other when staring super intensely at each other, I just thought that was a good way to bring those two back to reality.
- I like that it was explained that the Institute has wards that prevents anyone with demon blood from entering without an invitation but I also like that Alec points out that Valentine their true enemy is a shadowhunter so the wards won't keep him out of the institute so they cup isn't safe there.
- I like that Izzy agreed with Alec that the cup should be given back to the Clave and I wonder if they had given the cup to the Clave at this point if it would've gotten back to Idris before Valentine had a chance to steal it or if Valentine would've found a way to get the cup regardless of what they did.
- I understand why Clary wants to keep the cup with her because it really is the only thing she has to bargain with Valentine for her mom's life but I really don't understand where her confidence comes from with her believing that she won't give up the plot to Valentine but since she never end up doing that I guess her confidence was well founded.
- I like that Alec allows Clary to keep the cup in the institute rather than give to the Clave but I also like that he makes her keep it in the safe that only his stele can open because he doesn't trust her not to loose it but he's willing to give her the option to use it in the future.
- I like that Clary tries to thank Alec for helping her out with finding the cup and I like that Alec then points out that they're still not friends, I just kind of like that Alec doesn't really like Clary but he also wants to make sure that she stays safe because he's a protector by nature.
- I liked that when there was an alert of someone approaching the institute that Jace told Alec not to tell him he told him so.
- I like that Raphael mentioned that he raised to be a good Catholic before he became a vampire and I like that it's implied that he still keeps connected to his faith despite being a vampire.
- I like that Raphael made it very clear that Camille acted alone when she choose to kill Simon and I like that Raphael brought Simon to the shadowhunters to show that he doesn't support Camille's actions.
- I really can't blame Clary for blaming Raphael for Simon being dead because even though Raphael never intended for this happen it wouldn't have been possible if he never kidnapped Simon under Camille's orders.
- I like that Raphael told Clary after she broke down crying that there was a way that she could bring Simon back by turning him into a vampire and I find it interesting that Clary has decided whether she wants to have Simon become a vampire or remain dead by the sunset that day and that if she decides to leave him dead she'd have to stake him so that his soul won't remained trapped forever.
- I really don't understand why Jace and Izzy are so against Simon being turned because while it's surely not the ideal to be a vampire I think that Simon living as a vampire is much less tragic than him dying so young.
- I liked how Raphael said that he slept in a golden casket rather than a wooden coffin because he's a classy vampire.
- I liked that Robert was frustrated with the Clave for not willing to do anything about Valentine's return because the Clave is really very frustrating with how long it takes them to take action when things are very serious.
- I'm a bit confused about what kind of interference with downworlder affairs has caused problems for the Lightwoods considering the only instances I can think of where they interfered was saving Simon from being kidnapped(which the Clave should support since the vampires broke the law first), the helped fight off the circle members when they attacked the warlocks that Magnus was keeping save(which happened during a Clave approved mission) and they helped save Luke's life(which not only isn't a bad thing but I'm like 99 percent sure that the Clave wouldn't have a clue that even happened) because all three of these things don't seem all that bad and really isn't effecting shadowhunter-downworlder relationships on any grand scale.
- I find it sad how Clary listens to the messages that Simon left her the say before and then she tells his body how sorry she is she wasn't there for him when he needed her most and that she blames herself for what happened to him.
- I liked that Raphael just answered Clary's questions about what would happen depending on which choice she made with what to do with Simon and I like that Clary really has no idea what would be best thing that she could do for Simon because neither choice is a good one.
- I liked that when Lydia entered using the shape shifter rune to appear as Valentine that Alec instantly pushed Max behind him and shot his arrow at who he thought was Valentine and I liked that Lydia basically said that everyone in the institute's reaction time was terrible expect for Alec.
- It annoys me how Maryse is perfectly willing to defend Jace against anyone that doubts him when we know that she wouldn't do the same for Alec and Izzy.
- I like that after Clary tries to tell Simon's mother that he died that Clary realizes that she can't bare to loose Simon anymore than his mother could so she can't just let him stay dead regardless of whether or not that's the smartest thing to do because she can't imagine never getting to see or talk to him again.
- I liked that Luke texted Alec the pictures of the forsaken attack after it attack the Jade wolf, I like that despite the fact that they barely know each other Luke thinks of Alec as someone he can trust.
- I like that Lydia invited Alec to come along on the mission to investigate the Jade wolf after she took over the mission because he had already earned her respect by being the only prepared shadowhunter in the room when she arrived.
- The story Jace tells about how his father gave him a falcon to train and then killed it right in front of him after he trained to teach him to not love anything since having emotions is a weakness is a sign that Jace's father was abusive and the fact that Jace doesn't realize how screwed up that lesson was tells us a lot about Jace but I did like that Clary founded the whole story disturbing because it is.
- I like that Clary tells Jace that if being a shadowhunter means you have to be dead inside she doesn't want to be one because really that is a very unhealthy way to live so I'm glad that she refuses to live that way.
- I like that we learned that Lydia married for love and was going to be able to run the institute with him before he was killed and that lead her believing that the only thing that in their line of work that is worth falling in love with is the work itself, I'm thinking that this way of thinking may come back into play in future episodes of the series.
- I like the way that Luke explains to Lydia and Alec what happened with the Forsaken and I kind of think that the way he went about explaining what happened reflected a bit on his past of a shadowhunter so they know what kind of report their looking for.
- I like that both Alec and Jace point out that Izzy is an expert at forensics, I jus like that they seem so proud of their sisters skills.
- I felt so bad for Alec when he had to find out from Lydia that his parents where circle members because well it must hurt to be lied to for your whole lie by people you should be able to trust and also because they were always so hard on him, always told him his best wasn't good enough and blamed their family's bad standing with the Clave on him and his siblings while knowing full well that they were the ones that destroyed the Lightwood name before he was even born.
- I liked that when Lydia tried to defend Alec's parents not telling him the truth about the circle and their choice to join it that Alec refused to give them that benefit and even said that them being circle members is unforgivable.
- I liked that when Lydia said that Magnus would be coming to the institute that Alec felt awkward about it and started talking about how magical Magnus was and then clarified that he's very good at magic which made him seem more suspicious rather than less suspicious like he intended to make himself appear.
- I like that Lydia is excited by the idea of meeting Magnus because Magnus and her ancestor Henry invented the portal together.
- I liked that Clary was very concerned about Luke when she saw the Jade wolf was destroyed when she came to see him and I like that he reassured him that he was okay.
- I like that Clary told Luke that Simon was dead and that she let herself breakdown again and be comforted by him.
- I find it a bit funny that Magnus asks Izzy whether or not Alec is interested in him as the examine a forsaken body, I also like that Izzy was so excited to cut into the body while Magnus was more than happy to get away from it.
- I like that Luke told Clary how hard it was to become a werewolf after being a shadowhunter and how he lost so many things his home, his friends and his family and that the only things that kept him going back then was Jocelyn and Clary who loved and needed him and I like that Clary tells him that she will always need him.
- I like that Luke tells Clary that he loves Simon like a son but also warns her that she should think of what's best for Simon not what's best for her when she makes her decision.
- I liked that when Magnus saw Alec training shirtless that he shameless checked Alec out and told him that he liked what he saw.
- I liked that Alec vented to Magnus about how he has just had his entire world turned upside down by what he learned about his parents and how he feels like he has given up so much and it was all for nothing and I like that Magnus told him that maybe he should start living for himself and follow his heart and I like that Alec tells Magnus that he's right although Alec's version of following his heart is a lot different from most people's.
- I like that Raphael had already turned the clan against Camille by the time she showed up to get rid of Simon's body so that she was unable to get rid of Simon and instead was captured by her own people.
- I like that after hearing that the Clave is forcing his family out of the Institute that Alec defiantly gives his mother the report that Magnus gave him that is for the head of the institute instead of Lydia.
- I wasn't surprised at all that Clary choose to turn Simon rather than let him stay dead because it was clear from the start that she couldn't live without him but I did like how much conflict she had while making the choice.
- I like that despite not agreeing with Clary's choice that Jace just supported Clary throughout the whole episode and did his best to comfort her by being there for her and even trying to lighten the mood with a few jokes meant to reassure that Simon would pull through.
- I liked how Clary told Jace that love makes you stronger because love makes you fight hard for the things you want which is a philosophy that I support a whole hell of a lot more than the toxic love is weakness one.
- I find it so interesting that Alec's version of following his heart means to give up any chance of falling in love by marrying Lydia in order to keep the Institute in order to restore his family's name because most people think of romantic love when someone says follow your heart but Alec thinks of the love he has for his family and how he will do anything to protect his family regardless of how unhappy it makes him in the long run.
- I like that Raphael stuck around to make sure that Simon was okay when he emerge and that he brought blood bags for him to drink because he knew he'd be hungry when he came to.
- I like that Izzy was so concerned about Alec when she saw that he was injured by the forsaken that attacked Hodge in the Institute.
- I found the scene where Simon realizes that he has become a vampire and now thinks of himself as a monster to be heartbreaking and I like that Clary keeps trying to tell him that he's same person that he's always been and is still her best friend but he can't agree with her. I also thought the acting in that scene was just great.
- I liked that after Simon ran off that Raphael promised that he'd look after Simon before he went after Simon.
