Top 10 Villains

1. Angelus(Buffy the Vampire Slayer): Angelus has been one of my favorite villains for years now and I don't see that changing anytime soon. Angelus was a villain that saw his evil deeds has an art form he was someone who didn't take pleasure in simply kill someone but rather the suffering that came from that person dying or the pain or fear that his victims felt before he killed them. The thing that made Angelus work so well as a villain was that he was smart and was somewhat like a cat in how he played with his prey for a long time before he would ever kill, the fact that his goal seemed to be putting people in pain whether it be physical, emotional or psychological is what made him so interesting to watch because you didn't know exactly what he would do next.
2. Katherine Pierce(Vampire Diaries): Katherine is a character that I genuinely love as a character and as a villain because there are things that are sympathetic about her and she is someone who can help out the main characters but never someone they could trust because she will always choose herself and her own best interest in the end and I can respect that. Katherine is a ruthless survivor who would betray and kill just about anyone in order to ensure her own safety and she won't regret those choices for one second. She's a character that is smart, ruthless and selfish and she was a character that made the plot of the show a whole lot more interesting by showing up and I will forever love her that.
3. Akito Sohma(Fruits Basket): Akito unlike the first two characters on this list doesn't kill anyone throughout the whole series but Akito is someone who still manages to cause pretty serve damage to  most of the major characters in the series. Akito is someone who is very manipulative, controlling, has a bad temper and far too much power over quite a few of the characters in this series which makes Akito pretty dangerous. Akito is someone who knows how to destroy people with words and this is something that is done throughout the series. Although Akito is actually a character that is shown to be sympathetic and in the end even chooses to try to be a better person I like some characters in series can't quite forgive Akito for all the damage that was inflicted onto other characters.
4. The Nogitsune(Teen Wolf): The Nogitsune is a villain that worked so well in part because there was nothing about the Nogitsune that was human at all the Nogitsune was a spirit that only wanted to cause chaos, pain and strife because that what it feed off and that is exactly what the spirit did all block and it had fun causing all that pain and throughout the whole block the characters and the audience was on edge about what the Nogitsune's next move is and if there was even anything they could do to stop it. Another thing that worked really well about the Nogitsune storyline was the fact that it was possessing Stiles which made it hard or in some cases impossible for the other characters to fight it since they didn't want to hurt someone who is a friend to them and this is something that the Nogitsune definitely took advantage of.
5. Seishirou Sakurazuka(Tokyo Babylon and X/1999): Seishirou is a true sociopath who is actually quite fun to read about but he isn't someone who truly feels and while he has killed plenty of people it's never been something he either likes or dislikes but rather something he does because he doesn't see any one person differently from every other person in the world. Seishirou has killed and harmed many people but the thing that made him such an interesting character was the complete lack of any type of emotion he experienced from anything and this is also what led to his relationship with Subaru being so interesting because Subaru was the only thing/person he ever showed any type of interested in. The type of interest that Seishirou showed towards Subaru was of course terribly unhealthy not to mention downright scary especially since in the end all that it was clear that Seishirou felt was obsession and that only led to Subaru having his life being completely destroyed by Seishirou.
6. Voldemort(Harry Potter):Voldemort is probably one of the best known villains of all time and I feel like my list wouldn't be complete without having him on it. I feel like everything that can be said about him has already been said better by someone else so I'm just going to say that he always did a good job of remaining a threat throughout all seven books which is something that I find quite impressive since we don't actually get to see him all that often but when we do he leaves an impression.
7. Min Joon-gook(I Hear Your Voice): Min Joon-gook is the character that really does drive the plot of this series by being a constant threat to the safety of the leads. This character is one that proves right from the start by killing one character and attempting to kill two more in his very first episode and it's clear from the beginning that he intends to make good on his promise to kill Hye-sung. Joon-gook proves himself throughout the series to be a very smart villain who is able to fool pretty much everyone and honestly I think he was able to use Soo-ha's ability to read minds to his advantage because he did a damn good job of making Soo-ha look crazy while he made himself look a helpless victim when the truth was their roles were flipped. The thing I think that made Min Joon-gook such an interesting villain was that the show managed to make me feel a little bit of sympathy for him in the end even though I all I wanted to do was think of him as a monster the show made me see him a broken somewhat pathetic human being and that might be the scariest thing of all about him.
8. Jamie Moriarty(Elementary): Jamie Moriarty was a character that Elementary did a very good job of setting up this character was one that was believed to be two very different people to Sherlock and when it was revealed that they were one in the same it was surprising in the best way and made her character all the more interesting. The character was someone who was very smart and interesting to watch and one I wouldn't returning to the show since I'm still interested in learning more.
9. Lilah Morgan(Angel): Lilah was one of the lawyers of Wolfram and Hart the evil law firm that served as the series main villains and Lilah was my favorite character from the group of villains. The thing about Lilah is that she is unapologetically evil and I love her for that and I love that while she's clear someone that is dangerous who don't see her physically fighting very often which is pretty vary for a show like this. Lilah is a villainous character I just enjoy more than anything else.
10. Lee Jin-pyo(City Hunter): Jin-pyo is the type of villain that it was easy to sympathies with him at first because he was someone who was truly wronged and he was right to want revenge against those who betrayed him it was just his methods that made him villain more than anything else. Jin-pyo was a man that was devoted more to bloody revenge than past wrongs being righted and this led him to causing harm to people who didn't wrong him but by that point he no longer cared about justice or moral high ground. The thing that Jin-pyo does that are the worst in the series is how he treated Yoon-sung as a weapon in his vengeance plans and how he threatened Yoon-sung with the safety of his loved ones every time he strayed from his plans.

Fangirl Friday 42

Fangirl five Friday is a weekly meme host Nancy Drew is my Homegirl and what it's meme that has you list the top five things you've been fangirling about this week.

1. Elementary: In this week's episode Moriarty returned and she continues to show how she's a brilliant criminal mastermind with how she was able to negotiate herself into a more comfortable prison and she was also able to pass along messages to the outside, get exactly the kind of information she wanted and escape when she felt she needed to. This episode is also when Joan first learns that Sherlock has been in contact with Moriarty through letters for the past several months which is something that concerns her quite a bit due to the past nature of Sherlock and Moriarty's past relationship. I also really enjoyed the final scene between Sherlock and Moriarty where she admits that she didn't kill her guard because she knew it would look bad in his eyes and she wonders if that's how he was able to become one of them(due to their similar personalities) and Sherlock tells her he's unsure of if he really is one of them.

2. Chihayafuru: I watched quite a few episodes of this series this week and it was great and really much more emotional than it should have been to see the karuta team win their final match in the tournament and become the best in Japan together. I love this series and this episodes where super good and loved seeing the characters work so hard to reach their goal that I shared their excitement when they won.
3. Community: Community season 5 come out this week with two new episodes and I personally loved them both. I loved that the first episodes had call backs to the pilot and I liked how it set up this season with showing how Greendale actually kind of made their lives worse because the school lets everyone graduate but doesn't prepare them for the jobs their major is in and I liked how this led to them returning to Greendale. I like that Jeff only really took the job as a teacher because he was desperate and doesn't really take it seriously at first although he does accidently discovers that he might kind like teaching. I also love the subplot about Abed trying to figure out if Nicholas Cage is a good or bad actor but freaking out since there is no real answer, I feel like that's pretty much the only way to explain Nicholas Cage.

Fangirl Friday 40

Fangirl five Friday is a weekly meme host Nancy Drew is my Homegirl and what it's meme that has you list the top five things you've been fangirling about this week.
1. Revenge: Season 3 of Revenge premiered this week and the episode was really great. This episode took things back to when the show was at it's best with Emily succeeding in her takedowns and lots of Emily and Nolan scenes in which they scheme together and also just generally care about each other which were sadly lacking for a large part of season 2. I also really enjoyed seeing Charolette's new attitude the one in which she is being more proactive and seems to be willing to destroy people if her threat to Patrick was any indication. I just really loved the episode and I'm really looking forward to seeing how the rest of the season unfolds.
2. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D: I watched the first two episodes of the show this week and so far I'm enjoying this show. I really loved the second episode because it focused on the characters coming together as a team for the first time. I'm really enjoying all the science speak on the show so far and I'm also enjoying the action parts of the show as well. So far I like all the characters and I'm interested in learning more about them which is always a good sign.
3. Elementary: This week's episode focused on a case that involved solving an extremely complicated math problem that could be worth millions and I really enjoyed this case because there were so many twist and turns to it. There was also a plot about how the son of the man that Joan accidently killed trying to hit her up for money and I really enjoyed this plot because it shows how much Joan continues to be affected by her mistake and I really loved all the friendship moments Joan and Sherlock shared with him not wanting her to pay the guy because he fears he's taking advantage of her but giving her the money because he doesn't want her to be overwhelmed by guilt. I overall loved this episode.

Top 10 Shows I'm Looking Forward to fall 2013

1. Revenge season 3: I've loved the first two seasons of the show and I'm really excited to see the characters again and see what revenge schemes Emily is setting in motion. While season 2 was a bit uneven in places I still overall enjoyed it and I think that show could easily fix the problems it had in season 2 namely Aiden trying to take over Emily's revenge plans but I have faith that he won't be around as much or at all this season so Emily will be free to make her own moves like she did in season 1.
2. Reign: I saw the trailer for this show and I pretty much fell in love with it, I can't wait for this show to air because it seems like one I'll love completely. This show is very loosely based off the history of Mary Queen of Scots but with a teen drama twist angle which really works for me. I love that this show seems to be about court politics in a lot of ways with how people don't have friends they have alliances and people aren't in love they're betrothed. I also love that there seems to be a bit of visions from the future elements and assassination attempts. Anyways this show is one that I think is exactly what I didn't know I wanted so badly.
3. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D: I'm excited for this show because it's created by Joss Whedon who's shows Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Firefly and Dollhouse are some of my favorite of all time so I'm super excited to watch another show of his to watch. I liked the Avengers movie but to be honest I'm not really all that into the whole marvel verse not because I don't see the appeal to it because I do get why people love it so much but because I simply didn't see the movies leading up to it and I've only seen parts of the other movies since but I don't feel like I need to have all that information to enjoy the show which is a good thing for me.
4. Grimm Season 3: I've loved the first two seasons of Grimm way more than I ever expected I would and I'm really excited for it's return since it ended on a cliffhanger again and if there's one thing Grimm's great at it's season ending cliffhangers although not quite as good as the season 1 cliffhanger it was still great and I can't wait for the third season to began.
5. Elementary Season 2: Elementary was the show that last fall completely surprised me with how much it made me care about the characters as well as the case of the week that was usually much smarter than what I've come to expect from crime shows. Last season ended with the best episodes yet and I have faith that this show will continue to hold my attention every second that it's on so I'm really excited for season 2.
6. American Horror Story: Coven: I've loved the first two seasons of this show which were really like nothing else on television which makes this show must see tv in my book. I'm really looking forward to this season because it focuses on witches and witches are one of my favorite things so I'm really excited for this season and the treasers as always are getting me really excited and a bit confused with what's happening in them.
7. White Collar Season 5: I've loved the first five seasons of the show and I feel like this show has never let me down so I'm really excited to see what season five as set in store for me.
8. Blacklist: I saw the trailer for this show and it looked great, once I saw it I felt like I needed to see it right then and there and now I'm eagerly waiting for it to premiere.
9. Dracula: I saw the trailer for this show and it looked interesting, I like that it's a vampire story that's set in the Victorian era I believe and it looks different from most vampire stories I have seen which is a good thing.
10. Michael J. Fox Show: I really enjoyed the trailer for this show and I enjoy Michael J. Fox so I'm looking forward to the show but I'm a bit worried about keeping up with the show since I'm pretty horrible with consistently watching comedies for some reason.

Top 5Thursday: Top 5 Procedurals shows

Top 5 Thursday is a meme that I create to make lists of things involving tv and movies. I would love for anyone that sees this post to make list of their own whether it's in the comment section or on their own blog.
There's a lot of shows out there that are procedurals shows but while most of them are good for a causal viewer few actually become shows in which the audience actually cares about the characters solving the crimes so this list is about the procedurals shows that I feel are worth watching week to week.
1. Psych: This is a show about a guy who pretends to be psych and him along with his best friend solves crimes and it's actually a really funny show. I love this show because it's really very funny and I love all the characters who are so well defined and in all honesty the show is more about the characters then the crimes they solve. This show is lots of fun and there are quite a few episodes were they take a concept and run with it which makes those episodes especially entertaining.
2. White Collar: This is a show about a charming con-artist who works with the FBI as part of an agreement that allows him to stay out of prison. This show is one that I just love a lot because really love the characters and I really enjoy the cases as well that usually end up involving some kind of con and since I love anything involving con-artist I really love this show. Also each season as an over arching plot as well as cases of the week and I find both parts of the show enjoyable.
3. Elementary: This was pretty much my favorite new show of the year and I love it so much because it does such a good job of having character drama and development mixed in with the mystery of the week which are usually really fascinating as well. I really loved seeing how the relationship between Joan and Sherlock developed over the course of the season and how they both developed as characters as well. I liked that even though most crimes were solved by the end of the episode there was also the Moriarty plot and I really loved the twist they made in that plot as well.
4. Grimm: This one it is quite different then the other shows on the list since it combines crime solving and fairytale creatures but I think that the show does this pretty well and I really enjoy seeing the two aspects come together. This show is also quite different because since there's a fantasy element to the series there are some episodes that don't feel like a procedural at all because there also more arc base episodes that deal more with the mythology of the series then any type of crime. I also really like that this series is still fairly character driven as well.
5. Criminal Minds: This is the show that I watch the least on this list but it's not because I don't love it but because this show has been going on for quite a long time now and I haven't been following it since the beginning so I don't watch as much. This show always has really interesting cases and I especially love how the use of profiling works in the series with the team always basically psychoanalyzing the criminal of the week. I also think this show does a good job of letting the audience get to know the main characters without taking away from the case of the week which is a problem with shows like this one usually have.

Fangirl Friday 36

Fangirl five Friday is a weekly meme host Nancy Drew is my Homegirl and what it's meme that has you list the top five things you've been fangirling about this week.

1. Game of Thrones: This weeks episode of Game of Thrones was fantastic I really loved this episode. My favorite part of the episode was Daenerys's scenes, I loved how she made it seem like she was just going to trade her dragon for the slave army but as soon as she had the wipe in her hand she revealed not only did that she speaks valaryian therefore she knew exactly what the slave master thought of her but than she commanded her new army to kill every man that owned a slave or helped keep this system of slavery alive in some way and was able to keep her dragon as well. I loved that after she had killed all the slave masters that she decided to free her army but due to her earlier actions she was able to convince them to want to fight for her rather than to be her slaves which I think is much better. I completely loved Daenerys's scenes this week and it is probably one of my favorite moments of the entire series so far. I also continue to love how Margery is able to perfectly manipulate Joffery to due whatever she wishes him to do with him being completely unaware of the fact that she's playing him. I also really loved seeing how in this episode it is clear that Cersei is very fearful of the Tryells especially Margery because she can see her taking away everything she holds dear and I love that she knows that Tryells mean to take away the power that she has and she knows that they are mostly likely a threat to her family especially since Margery is the one who has the people's love and while Cersei can see all the things she cares about slipping away from her there's nothing she can really due to prevent that. I really loved the Margery and Sansa scene I really enjoy their relationship and I love the idea that Sansa could marry Loras and be able to be safe in the High garden but I have feeling that this plan is much too good Sansa to possibly be one that will work out in the future. I continue to love Ollena Tryell she a great character and I especially loved her scene with Varys. I think that Arya's storyline is one that has the potential to be very interesting and I'm looking forward to seeing more of her and the brotherhood without banners. I also loved the brief scene we got with Bran this episode I like that it seems like Jojen is helping him out a bit with his abilities and that he maybe close to remembering how he fell at the end of first episode of the series.
2. Doctor Who: I watched the two latest episodes of Doctor Who this week and I enjoyed both of them but I loved the second one more than the first. The first one was set on a sinking submarine and I mainly enjoyed Clara being massively adorably and the Doctor being well the Doctor. The second one was a ghost story which I loved. I loved how there was this girl that was an empathy and that it was explained that people like her often lived lonely lives due to their abilities and I loved the relationship she had with the former spy those two were really sweet together. I also loved how this episode showed that Clara is a bit more cautious and  scared of her adventures with the Doctor and I loved how she worried a bit about what the TARDIS thought of her. I also liked how the Doctor went to the empathy in order to figure out what was so special about Clara but she wasn't able to sense anything different about Clara than any ordinary girl.
3. Elementary: This weeks episode was great it dealt with a blackmailing plot as well as Sherlock reaching his one year mark of being clean. I really loved this episode the case was very interesting and took quite a few turns and I loved seeing more of Alfredo in this episode as well. I also loved the scene were Sherlock tells Joan that he actual relapsed the day after he entered rehab, I love this because he felt that he needed to tell Joan this before anyone else and because this means that even though he knew during the rest of his stay at the rehab center away to get out he didn't leave to get another fix.

Fangirl Friday 31

Fangirl five Friday is a weekly meme host Nancy Drew is my Homegirl and what it's meme that has you list the top five things you've been fangirling about this week.

1. Psych: This week's episode of Psych was probably one of my favorite of the whole series so far. In this episode Shawn and Gus go out into the woods to try to help(sort of) film students to find Big Foot and Shawn wants to make a video of his own in order to steal the film student academy award from them, he enrolled Gus in a class for the purposes of winning said award. After finding some dead bodies as well as very many funny moments then Juliet and Lassiater show up because they thought Shawn and Gus might have been dead and Lassiter is upset to see that isn't the case. Soon the group learns they're not alone out there and they eventually take down some criminals. I loved this episode it was so funny and so many good character moments and I love this episode as a parody to the found footage movies, this is actually better than any found footage movie I've ever seen.

2. Revenge: Revenge return this week and I think this episode dealt with Amanda's death pretty well with having Emily of course start off right away planning her revenge again and having one small private moment to truly mourn her. I also loved that Nolan was worried about Emily and what she might do next and I liked that they seemed to have more scenes together in this week's episode than they have had for most of the season. I also liked seeing that Jack may actually be involved in a plot that's somewhat relevant to the rest of the show which would be nice because if he's going to get screen time his storylines should at least be interesting. I liked how Charlotte was very sincere in her mourning of Amanda which was a contrast to the rest of her family. I really enjoyed the plot with Daniel wanting to get out of the initiative's control. I loved the theme of the episode with Emily going to not let anything else distract her from her vengeance.

3. Vampire Diaries: Vampire Diaries also returned this week and I actually quite liked this episode. I liked how Elena was bored and just kind of bitchy and not caring about anything or anyone although I disliked how mean to Caroline she was. I liked that Stefan and Elena had quite a few moments together and I liked that there's a bit of sexual tension between them because I've been missing that lately. I liked all the Stefan and Caroline interaction because I always like those two together. I liked but was sad about the Caroline and Tyler stuff especially when Caroline read his letter realized he's not coming back, that made me cry. I liked that Damon was chasing after Katerine again and I liked the scenes he and Rebekah shared together.

4. Nashville: I caught up with Nashville this week with watching the last two episodes and I enjoyed them quite a bit and I especially liked the stuff with Scarlett and Gunnar. I also still love Juliette even though her plots weren't my favorite in these last two episode. I also loved the new songs we got in these episodes, Casino was my favorite by far though.
5. Elementary: I really loved this week's episode because it dealt with Joan being a bit unsure about if she can be a detective and I liked that because I feel like that's a natural feeling to have but I loved that she is able to solve the case in the end and was able to feel confident in her decision to become a detective. I also really liked the whole Alfredo teaching Joan to break into cars because that's a skill that Sherlock believes a detective needs.
