Top 10 Kdramas I've Watched

1. City Hunter:This series is one that is a story of revenge that has a good amount of action and romance to it as well. This series is one that has a really good story behind it and good characters that make you invested in the story. I thought that this drama had good conflict between the characters that kept the story interesting through out it's run.
2. I Hear Your Voice: This series is one that is a bit hard to pin down because there are just so many aspects to it, this series is a noona romance, a legal drama and thriller with a supernatural element all at once and it feels like all the pieces of the story shouldn't fit as well together as they do. The characters are great and they all are able to go through character development through out the series as well as getting plenty of relationship development. Overall this series is one that you can't help but become emotionally invested in and that makes you forgive any of the flaws this series may have.
3. Healer: This series is an action adventure romance that has the male lead acting similarly to a superhero and a female lead working as a truth seeking reporter which are tropes we've seen before but this series makes them feel brand new. This series is one that has a very good emotional core to it with characters that you can't help but love.
4. Pinocchio: This series is another great one that deals with the morals and ethics of broadcast journalism and explores the very nature of what the truth is. This series is one that has great characters that go through emotional journeys as they have their world views challenged and the romance in the series is great as well.
5. W: Two Worlds: This one is a series that has a concept that really stands out with having a comic book character become self aware and having the female lead sucked into the comic book and end up falling in love with him. This series is one that is filled with twists and turns and it gives the audience plenty to talk about as we explore what makes a human, human.
6. Heartless City: This dark crime story that deals with criminals and undercover cops just trying to survive is one that is extremely well made and endlessly intriguing to watch with all the characters being so very flawed. This show is one that stands out both because of it's darker tone and it's darker but still gorgeous look that the series has to it.
7. Queen In Hyun's Man: This series is a really sweet time travel romance that is sure to make you swoon with two leads that are completely lovable and it has the right balance of fluff and angst to it.
8. Dream High: This series is a teen drama about students at a preforming arts school working their hardest to achieve their dreams and make it in the K-pop industry. The characters in this series are all ones that I can't help but to root for and I really loved seeing them grow through out the series and I always found myself caring about them.
9. School 2013: This series is a drama that is simply about the lives of students and teachers of one class at one school and although that premise doesn't sound all that gripping the series itself is because the characters are and you find yourself completely invested in their story as the series goes on.
10. Witch's Romance: This series is about the romance between 39 year old cold hearted ultra successful reporter and a sweet 25 year old who works has a man who does any kind of part time job someone might need done, the romance in this series is unconventional but also completely heartwarming.

Top 10 Villains

1. Angelus(Buffy the Vampire Slayer): Angelus has been one of my favorite villains for years now and I don't see that changing anytime soon. Angelus was a villain that saw his evil deeds has an art form he was someone who didn't take pleasure in simply kill someone but rather the suffering that came from that person dying or the pain or fear that his victims felt before he killed them. The thing that made Angelus work so well as a villain was that he was smart and was somewhat like a cat in how he played with his prey for a long time before he would ever kill, the fact that his goal seemed to be putting people in pain whether it be physical, emotional or psychological is what made him so interesting to watch because you didn't know exactly what he would do next.
2. Katherine Pierce(Vampire Diaries): Katherine is a character that I genuinely love as a character and as a villain because there are things that are sympathetic about her and she is someone who can help out the main characters but never someone they could trust because she will always choose herself and her own best interest in the end and I can respect that. Katherine is a ruthless survivor who would betray and kill just about anyone in order to ensure her own safety and she won't regret those choices for one second. She's a character that is smart, ruthless and selfish and she was a character that made the plot of the show a whole lot more interesting by showing up and I will forever love her that.
3. Akito Sohma(Fruits Basket): Akito unlike the first two characters on this list doesn't kill anyone throughout the whole series but Akito is someone who still manages to cause pretty serve damage to  most of the major characters in the series. Akito is someone who is very manipulative, controlling, has a bad temper and far too much power over quite a few of the characters in this series which makes Akito pretty dangerous. Akito is someone who knows how to destroy people with words and this is something that is done throughout the series. Although Akito is actually a character that is shown to be sympathetic and in the end even chooses to try to be a better person I like some characters in series can't quite forgive Akito for all the damage that was inflicted onto other characters.
4. The Nogitsune(Teen Wolf): The Nogitsune is a villain that worked so well in part because there was nothing about the Nogitsune that was human at all the Nogitsune was a spirit that only wanted to cause chaos, pain and strife because that what it feed off and that is exactly what the spirit did all block and it had fun causing all that pain and throughout the whole block the characters and the audience was on edge about what the Nogitsune's next move is and if there was even anything they could do to stop it. Another thing that worked really well about the Nogitsune storyline was the fact that it was possessing Stiles which made it hard or in some cases impossible for the other characters to fight it since they didn't want to hurt someone who is a friend to them and this is something that the Nogitsune definitely took advantage of.
5. Seishirou Sakurazuka(Tokyo Babylon and X/1999): Seishirou is a true sociopath who is actually quite fun to read about but he isn't someone who truly feels and while he has killed plenty of people it's never been something he either likes or dislikes but rather something he does because he doesn't see any one person differently from every other person in the world. Seishirou has killed and harmed many people but the thing that made him such an interesting character was the complete lack of any type of emotion he experienced from anything and this is also what led to his relationship with Subaru being so interesting because Subaru was the only thing/person he ever showed any type of interested in. The type of interest that Seishirou showed towards Subaru was of course terribly unhealthy not to mention downright scary especially since in the end all that it was clear that Seishirou felt was obsession and that only led to Subaru having his life being completely destroyed by Seishirou.
6. Voldemort(Harry Potter):Voldemort is probably one of the best known villains of all time and I feel like my list wouldn't be complete without having him on it. I feel like everything that can be said about him has already been said better by someone else so I'm just going to say that he always did a good job of remaining a threat throughout all seven books which is something that I find quite impressive since we don't actually get to see him all that often but when we do he leaves an impression.
7. Min Joon-gook(I Hear Your Voice): Min Joon-gook is the character that really does drive the plot of this series by being a constant threat to the safety of the leads. This character is one that proves right from the start by killing one character and attempting to kill two more in his very first episode and it's clear from the beginning that he intends to make good on his promise to kill Hye-sung. Joon-gook proves himself throughout the series to be a very smart villain who is able to fool pretty much everyone and honestly I think he was able to use Soo-ha's ability to read minds to his advantage because he did a damn good job of making Soo-ha look crazy while he made himself look a helpless victim when the truth was their roles were flipped. The thing I think that made Min Joon-gook such an interesting villain was that the show managed to make me feel a little bit of sympathy for him in the end even though I all I wanted to do was think of him as a monster the show made me see him a broken somewhat pathetic human being and that might be the scariest thing of all about him.
8. Jamie Moriarty(Elementary): Jamie Moriarty was a character that Elementary did a very good job of setting up this character was one that was believed to be two very different people to Sherlock and when it was revealed that they were one in the same it was surprising in the best way and made her character all the more interesting. The character was someone who was very smart and interesting to watch and one I wouldn't returning to the show since I'm still interested in learning more.
9. Lilah Morgan(Angel): Lilah was one of the lawyers of Wolfram and Hart the evil law firm that served as the series main villains and Lilah was my favorite character from the group of villains. The thing about Lilah is that she is unapologetically evil and I love her for that and I love that while she's clear someone that is dangerous who don't see her physically fighting very often which is pretty vary for a show like this. Lilah is a villainous character I just enjoy more than anything else.
10. Lee Jin-pyo(City Hunter): Jin-pyo is the type of villain that it was easy to sympathies with him at first because he was someone who was truly wronged and he was right to want revenge against those who betrayed him it was just his methods that made him villain more than anything else. Jin-pyo was a man that was devoted more to bloody revenge than past wrongs being righted and this led him to causing harm to people who didn't wrong him but by that point he no longer cared about justice or moral high ground. The thing that Jin-pyo does that are the worst in the series is how he treated Yoon-sung as a weapon in his vengeance plans and how he threatened Yoon-sung with the safety of his loved ones every time he strayed from his plans.

1. I'm Going to Meet You by Deok Hwan(From Queen In-hyun's Man): I've recently been watching the Kdrama Queen In-hyun's Man and I absolutely love it and this song is one that plays during a lot of the romantic moments and I realized I liked it quite a bit then I listen to the full song and fell in love with it and then I found fan video to this song and got even more obsessed with it. 8. Freeze Your Brain from Heathers: The Musical: This song is another favorite because I realy love how this song tells us who JD is as a character and it also shows how a bit how he differs from movie JD it shows that he is more someone who as numbed himself rather than someone who doesn't feel. Also this song is one associate with Skye from Agents of Shield at least during season 2.
9. Out of My Head by Digital Daggers: This is just a song and artist I really like and I like the feeling that I get from the song and I feel like there's an interesting story that could be told to this song if you wanted to make one.
10. Hate Everyone by Say Anything: I both like the way that the music sounds and I really enjoy all the anger behind this song because the best songs are the ones that express the strongest emotions.

TV Review: I Hear Your Voice

                                                   I Hear Your Voice Review
I Hear Your Voice is a k-drama that is a lot of different things, the best way I can think to describe the series is a legal drama, noona romance(older woman, younger guy) and it deals with the theme of vengeance. This drama is one that is a bit hard to summarize but it is a very good drama that has an engaging plot and characters that you can't help but get invested in.

The series starts off with Jang Hye-sung deciding to become a public defender solely because of the fact that they make more money then the kind of lawyer that she is now. Hye-sung starts the series off as someone who is pretty selfish, immature and doesn't really care about her clients(this trait is especially apparent in how they showed a series of closing statements she made when she basically said the same thing in the same bored tone as to why her client shouldn't go to jail)but despite this I still loved watching her and I was still very entertain by her and that's before we even get to her backstory.

It is really Hye-sung's backstory that gets you invested in the character in a meaningful way and it shows you that she's more than the person that she represents herself as in the beginning. It is made clear in the backstory that Hye-sung is someone who has a very clear sense of what justice is and that to her has a lot to do with the truth coming out and this sense of justice is something she regains as she starts working as a public defender.Ten years before the story starts Hye-sung witness a man named Min Joon-gook murder a man with a pipe and attempt to kill the man's son as well. Later on after Min Joon-gook had threaten to kill her if she came forward as a witness after much debate Hye-sung does come forward as a witness against Min Joon-gook and this is something that lead to two things first that Min Joon-gook has now vowed to kill her so she lives in fear of what will happen once he's released and two that the man's eight year old son Park Soo-ha has vowed to protect Hye-sung once Min Joon-gook is released and he has developed a crush on her.

Soo-ha is now a senior in high school and he has been looking for Hye-sung for the past ten years both because of his crush on her and because of the desire to protect her. Soo-ha has the ability to read minds and this is something that keeps him distant from the people around him which is one of the reasons that Hye-sung is someone who's so important to him. When Soo-ha first really re-meets Hye-Sung is disappointed that she has become cynical and doesn't seem to care about the truth of what happens and this is one of the reasons why Soo-ha tells Hye-sung that he can read minds and makes sure that she believes it and how he starts letting her use his ability to help her win her cases.

Through the first part of the series Hye-sung starts to regain her sense of justice by working as a public defender and becomes someone who once again both cares about the truth and even her clients. There are many people that help inspire this change in Hye-sung's character but one that really sticks out is Cha Gwan-woo an idealistic public defender who started at the same time as Hye-sung but takes a very different approach to being a public defender with him caring about his clients to the point of stupidity and Hye-sung not really care much at all. Throughout the series the two of them make each other better by picking up some of each other's skills.

Another plot thread that made the series so great was the rivalry and complicated past that Hye-sung and Seo Do-yeon share with how Hye-sung was kicked out of high school because of a lie that Do-yeon told and how the two of them never really got past what happened between them. I liked seeing how Hye-sung and Do-yeon went up against each other in their court cases and I liked that their past conflict made the court room conflict more personal for both the characters and the audience. I liked that there was a lot more to Do-yeon's character than I originally thought there was and I liked how their relationship improved throughout the series.
Soo-ha spends the first half of the series doing his best to insure that Min Joon-gook doesn't get the chance to make good on his threat to Hye-sung. The task of protecting Hye-sung is one that requires the two of them to live together for most of the series and through living together they get to know each other in ways they never would have been able to if they haven't which leads to them developing a very strong bond and only increases Soo-ha's desire to protect Hye-sung even if the ways he plans to go about aren't something that she would like. Through the first part of the series Soo-ha soon learns that Min Joon-gook has the cops fooled so he can't relay on them for help so he believes that he'll have to take matters into his own hands. Let's just say that Soo-ha told a ton of people during the first half of the series that he was going to kill Min Joon-gook and this is something that he had every intention of doing at the time because he thought of his own life as already lost and was perfectly fine with throwing his future a way so that Hye-sung may live.

This series is one that has great characters that develop over the course of the series in ways that I felt were believable and it was a series that gave characters more depth than you would have expected from those type of characters and can make you feel for and understand people you'd rather you didn't. This series does a great job with the relationship between the characters as well rather it be the romantic couple or the mother-daughter relationship between Hye-sung and her mom each relationship is given importance and it adds something to the series as a whole. Both the acting and the writing in this series is fantastic and I think that if your only going to watch one K-drama in your life this should be the one because it's just really great. Please tell me your thoughts about the series in the comment section below because I think I could say a lot more about this series.
