1. Angelus(Buffy the Vampire Slayer): Angelus has been one of my favorite villains for years now and I don't see that changing anytime soon. Angelus was a villain that saw his evil deeds has an art form he was someone who didn't take pleasure in simply kill someone but rather the suffering that came from that person dying or the pain or fear that his victims felt before he killed them. The thing that made Angelus work so well as a villain was that he was smart and was somewhat like a cat in how he played with his prey for a long time before he would ever kill, the fact that his goal seemed to be putting people in pain whether it be physical, emotional or psychological is what made him so interesting to watch because you didn't know exactly what he would do next.
2. Katherine Pierce(Vampire Diaries): Katherine is a character that I genuinely love as a character and as a villain because there are things that are sympathetic about her and she is someone who can help out the main characters but never someone they could trust because she will always choose herself and her own best interest in the end and I can respect that. Katherine is a ruthless survivor who would betray and kill just about anyone in order to ensure her own safety and she won't regret those choices for one second. She's a character that is smart, ruthless and selfish and she was a character that made the plot of the show a whole lot more interesting by showing up and I will forever love her that.
3. Akito Sohma(Fruits Basket): Akito unlike the first two characters on this list doesn't kill anyone throughout the whole series but Akito is someone who still manages to cause pretty serve damage to most of the major characters in the series. Akito is someone who is very manipulative, controlling, has a bad temper and far too much power over quite a few of the characters in this series which makes Akito pretty dangerous. Akito is someone who knows how to destroy people with words and this is something that is done throughout the series. Although Akito is actually a character that is shown to be sympathetic and in the end even chooses to try to be a better person I like some characters in series can't quite forgive Akito for all the damage that was inflicted onto other characters.
4. The Nogitsune(Teen Wolf): The Nogitsune is a villain that worked so well in part because there was nothing about the Nogitsune that was human at all the Nogitsune was a spirit that only wanted to cause chaos, pain and strife because that what it feed off and that is exactly what the spirit did all block and it had fun causing all that pain and throughout the whole block the characters and the audience was on edge about what the Nogitsune's next move is and if there was even anything they could do to stop it. Another thing that worked really well about the Nogitsune storyline was the fact that it was possessing Stiles which made it hard or in some cases impossible for the other characters to fight it since they didn't want to hurt someone who is a friend to them and this is something that the Nogitsune definitely took advantage of.
5. Seishirou Sakurazuka(Tokyo Babylon and X/1999): Seishirou is a true sociopath who is actually quite fun to read about but he isn't someone who truly feels and while he has killed plenty of people it's never been something he either likes or dislikes but rather something he does because he doesn't see any one person differently from every other person in the world. Seishirou has killed and harmed many people but the thing that made him such an interesting character was the complete lack of any type of emotion he experienced from anything and this is also what led to his relationship with Subaru being so interesting because Subaru was the only thing/person he ever showed any type of interested in. The type of interest that Seishirou showed towards Subaru was of course terribly unhealthy not to mention downright scary especially since in the end all that it was clear that Seishirou felt was obsession and that only led to Subaru having his life being completely destroyed by Seishirou.
6. Voldemort(Harry Potter):Voldemort is probably one of the best known villains of all time and I feel like my list wouldn't be complete without having him on it. I feel like everything that can be said about him has already been said better by someone else so I'm just going to say that he always did a good job of remaining a threat throughout all seven books which is something that I find quite impressive since we don't actually get to see him all that often but when we do he leaves an impression.
7. Min Joon-gook(I Hear Your Voice): Min Joon-gook is the character that really does drive the plot of this series by being a constant threat to the safety of the leads. This character is one that proves right from the start by killing one character and attempting to kill two more in his very first episode and it's clear from the beginning that he intends to make good on his promise to kill Hye-sung. Joon-gook proves himself throughout the series to be a very smart villain who is able to fool pretty much everyone and honestly I think he was able to use Soo-ha's ability to read minds to his advantage because he did a damn good job of making Soo-ha look crazy while he made himself look a helpless victim when the truth was their roles were flipped. The thing I think that made Min Joon-gook such an interesting villain was that the show managed to make me feel a little bit of sympathy for him in the end even though I all I wanted to do was think of him as a monster the show made me see him a broken somewhat pathetic human being and that might be the scariest thing of all about him.
8. Jamie Moriarty(Elementary): Jamie Moriarty was a character that Elementary did a very good job of setting up this character was one that was believed to be two very different people to Sherlock and when it was revealed that they were one in the same it was surprising in the best way and made her character all the more interesting. The character was someone who was very smart and interesting to watch and one I wouldn't returning to the show since I'm still interested in learning more.
9. Lilah Morgan(Angel): Lilah was one of the lawyers of Wolfram and Hart the evil law firm that served as the series main villains and Lilah was my favorite character from the group of villains. The thing about Lilah is that she is unapologetically evil and I love her for that and I love that while she's clear someone that is dangerous who don't see her physically fighting very often which is pretty vary for a show like this. Lilah is a villainous character I just enjoy more than anything else.
10. Lee Jin-pyo(City Hunter): Jin-pyo is the type of villain that it was easy to sympathies with him at first because he was someone who was truly wronged and he was right to want revenge against those who betrayed him it was just his methods that made him villain more than anything else. Jin-pyo was a man that was devoted more to bloody revenge than past wrongs being righted and this led him to causing harm to people who didn't wrong him but by that point he no longer cared about justice or moral high ground. The thing that Jin-pyo does that are the worst in the series is how he treated Yoon-sung as a weapon in his vengeance plans and how he threatened Yoon-sung with the safety of his loved ones every time he strayed from his plans.

Top 9 Worlds I Never Want to Live in
1. Sunnydale(Buffy the Vampire Slayer): Well it's implied that there is an extremely high death rate in this town and just about every monster that you can think makes it way to town since the town is on top of a Hellmouth which sounds just very unpleasant. There also seems to be an Apocalypse once a month to avert which is always a negative. There's also the whole thing where the people in the town seem to ignore the bizarre supernatural without trying to which always freaked me out a bit although not as much the murder and apocalypses.
2. Mystic Falls(Vampire Diaries): Mystic Falls appears to be a pretty small town that looks quite picturesque until you realize that there's about 50 on screen deaths per-season and each season only covers half a school year which means that in a town with an already small population there's about 100 murders a year and that just doesn't make me feel safe. Another thing that creeps me out about this town is that it seems that these mass murders that they have has been going on periodically for centuries but it's still something that the townsfolk choose to ignore even though it's clear that there aware of the problem. There's also the fact that this town is just plain weird with them having town wide celebrations at least once a week despite the fact that someone almost always ends up dead at one of these events and it seems like everyone in this town owns a ball gown or tuxedo so that they can all be dressed up for a last minute ball and I'm pretty sure the celebrated Christmas during the spring last season for no reason which freaks me out almost as much as the fact you kill people in the middle of the day in this town and no one would look twice.
3. Westeros(A Song of Ice and Fire): This kingdom is one that is in a huge war at the moment and it seems to be killing a ton of people whether their from noble families or common folks I think it's safe to say that no one is safe in Westeros and I rather not live somewhere in which I constantly fear for my life. I think Westeros is a great setting for this story but I see no reason to ever visit this land.
4. Panem(The Hunger Games): They force young children to fight each other to the death I want no part of a world that does this and it sounds like life in the districts are pretty awful to begin with so adding children getting murder annually just makes an already unappealing world look worse.
5. Acid Tokyo(Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle): This world appears to be post-apocalyptic and it rains acid not to mention that everyone leaves this place much worse off than they were when they came there it seems like a miserable place that I never wish to go to.
6. The World of 1984: The government spies on it's people constantly and there world tries to control your thoughts which is the one thing that someone should always have control of. Any place that messes with your head is a pace that I never want to be.
7. Luna(Cinder): This is another world in which your thoughts are messed with and it's also said that Lunars are pretty cruel as well which while I'm intrigued by this world I know already that I don't want to live there.
8. Beacon Hills(Teen Wolf): This town isn't actually as bad as a lot of fans make it out to be there's multiple murders each season but unlike Mystic Falls the murders are actually solved which does make the town a bit safer and it also seems like Beacon Hills is a city not a small town which would make the murder rate a bit higher than a small town which most people seem to talk about it as if it is one despite the fact there's very little to back up this claim.. I still wouldn't want to live there since there's still quite a few murders and a whole bunch of supernatural creatures seem to be drawn there so I still wouldn't want to live there but I think it's much safer than Sunnydale or Mystic Falls but that's not saying much.
9. Wonderland(Alice in Wonderland): Everyone here appears to be crazy and most of them also seem to like bullying a little girl simply because she doesn't know everything about how their strange world works so I'd rather not live there or visit there.

Top 5 Thursday: Top 5 Vampires
Top 5 Thursday is a meme that I create to make lists of things involving TV and movies. I would love for anyone that sees this post to make list of their own whether it's in the comment section or on their own blog.
Since it's getting close to Halloween I thought that it was a good idea to make a list of my favorite vampires.
1. Caroline Forbes(Vampire Diaries): I really love Caroline because of her positive attitude that she is able to keep even though her life is pretty much a nightmare and I love that we got to see her transition into being a vampire and I loved that being a vampire didn't really change who she was but more gave her confidence in herself that she lacked as a human.
2. Rebekah Mikaelson(Vampire Diaries): One of the main reasons I love Rebekah is because even though she has been around a thousand years she hasn't really lived at all and all she really wants is to be able to have a normal human life which is why she so badly wants to go to high school or fall in love because those are part of the life she'll never be able to have but longs for so desperately. I also love that Rebekah is very into vengeance although Rebekah does get screwed over a lot she's always able to find a way to get her revenge which is something I quite admire about her.
3. Angel/Angelus(Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Angel): I love Angel because there's a lot of duality with him and his Angelus persona, I like that Angel is the very heroic character who does all the good he can to make up for his past sins although that's not say he doesn't still have a dark side since he does, but I also really love the Angelus side of his personality that is pretty much pure evil and thinks murder as his art and I love how much he enjoys psychological torture as well. I also really loved seeing in the show Angel that Angel is actually a huge dork that is extremely socially awkward that wasn't something you'd expect out of him from only watching Buffy but it's something I love about him.
4. Darla(Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Angel): I love Darla because she so very evil but she also has a lot of depth to her with how we know so much about her past and I pretty much love her because she's kind of exactly what I think a female vampire should be like.
5. Karin Maaka(Chibi Vampire): I really love Karin because she's such an odd vampire in that she gives people blood rather than drinks and actually likes the sunlight and other things that goes against not only vampire lore in general but also the rules of the other vampires in the series. I also really love that she's such a teenage girl and has to deal with so many embarrassing situations.

Top 5 Thursday: Top 5 Whedonverse Episode
Top 5 Thursday is a meme that I create to make lists of things involving TV and movies. I would love for anyone that sees this post to make list of their own whether it's in the comment section or on their own blog.
Since I started watching Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. this week and I'm a huge fan of Joss Whedon shows I thought that now was a good of time as any to make a list of my favorite episodes which there are a lot more than five but I'll only be mentioning five of them.
1. Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Becoming(2.21-2.22): The season two finale of Buffy the Vampire Slayer is one that just got me I felt like there were high stakes both for the world in general and Buffy's emotional stakes as well. I just really loved this episode that was the conclusion to the Angelus storyline which was both action packed and emotionally draining which I think of as a good thing in this situation. My heart broke for Buffy more than once in this episode when her mom found out she was the slayer and when she had send Angel to hell once he got his soul back. I'm not sure that I'm explaining my love for this episode properly but it's pretty much my favorite episode of all time.
2. Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Passion(2.17): This is another great Buffy season 2 episode this one is the one that shows just how cruel Angelus is it shows how Angelus saw murder as his art and how he just loved hurting people with how he elaborately laid out Jenny's body and watched through the window as Buffy and Willow received the news this cruelty and psychological torture he inflicts on everyone through out the episode is what makes him one of my favorite villains. This episode is also very sad with how it raises the stakes with Jenny's death and how it's the first episode where a character that the audience deeply cared about died, I also enjoy the fantastic monologue about passion.
3. Dollhouse: Belonging(2.04): This is probably the most disturbing episode of tv that I have ever watched and I love it for that because the concepts of this show where always somewhat disturbing but the show was never more honest about how disturbing it was then they were in this episode. The backstory of how Serria ended up in the dollhouse is both saddening and terrifying she literally just said no to a guy and he had her drugged declared insane and was taken to a place that stripped her of her identity and he could use her whenever he wanted. This episode that ended up showing not only Serria history but also her taking revenge which only led to damaging her more but on a somewhat happy note she realized that she was in love with Victor despite that not making a whole lot of sense to her since she couldn't even really remember spending time with him. This is also a great episode for Topher's development as a character with him wanting to help Serria and realizing that all this time he wasn't helping her but instead helping her get hurt and I liked how this was one the earliest episodes in which Topher starts to develop a conscious and I kind of love how it's in such a painful way and it really does start to change the way he thinks about the dolls.
4. Angel: Over the Rainbow(2.20): I honestly loved all of the episodes that were set in Lorne's world but this is the first one so I decided to put this one on the list. I really just enjoyed watching this episode and I loved meeting Fred for the first time and I loved that Cordelia was made ruler. I also loved how excited Angel was when the sun didn't set him on fire.
5. Angel: Five By Five(1.18): I overall just really loved Faith's arc in generally but this episode was probably my favorite part of it with Faith becoming increasingly violent and reckless as the episode goes on until the end when she just kind of breaks and begs Angel to kill her.

Fantastic Five Friday: Top 5 Holiday Episodes
Fantastic Friday is a weekly meme that's hosted by The Weekly Enthusiast
1. The OC: Chrismukk-huh?(4.07): While I loved all the Chrimukkah episodes of The OC(and really just all episodes of The OC), Chrismukk-huh? has always been my favorite. I loved the whole alternate universe concept thing with seeing how much Ryan coming to town changed things for the main character and I just found this episode to be really funny as well. I also liked how this episode was used to help Ryan say goodbye to Marissa one last time and actually be able to be open to a relationship with Taylor.
2. Doctor Who: A Christmas Carol: I really loved this episode with how The Doctor had to basically remake the story A Christmas Carol with Kazarn in order to convince him to save everyone. I also just love a lot of little moments such as the psychic paper not working when The Doctor claims to be a mature and responsible adult, or how he talks about how his bow tie is cool or that he accidentally married Marylin Monroe or that he made a bunch of snowmen after the day was save. I just really loved the new take on the old story and The Doctor being The Doctor.
3. Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Amends(3.10): I really loved this episode because it dealt with Angel's guilt over what he had done while he was Angelous and I really loved the heartbreaking scene between Angel and Buffy with Angel trying to kill himself and how Buffy tells him basically that live is painful but you have to keep fighting. I also liked that there was snow and that Buffy invited Faith to her house for Christmas.
4. Cardcaptor Sakura: Sakura's Wonderful Christmas:episode 35: I really love that Cardcaptor Sakura had a Christmas episode because this is my favorite anime and that is one of the reasons that this episode makes my list. I also love that this episode is set during the time period where Syaoran is really confused by his feelings because he likes both Yukito and Sakura which makes things very awkward for him. I also love that Sakura was able to have enough power to capture the firey card and I kind of loved that Tomoyo and Kero-chan decided to stalk Sakura on her sort of date with Yukito.
5. The OC: The Countdown(1.14): I'm not sure if New Years episodes count for holiday episodes but I love this episode so much I'm putting it on the list anyways. I loved the whole Ryan having hard time knowing how to respond to I love you and I really love the kiss between Ryan and Marissa at the end of the episode with him finally telling her he loves her too. I also loved that when Seth and Ryan locked in the pool house, Seth claims that he's claustrophobic and Ryan is just like this place is huge it has a kitchen and a bathroom but then Seth is just hyperventilating, I just find that scene really funny.

Fantastic Five Fridays: Top 5 Story Arcs
Fantastic Friday is a weekly meme that's hosted by The Weekly Enthusiast
1. Faith's character arc(seasons 3/4 of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and season 1 of Angel): I really loved watching Faith's character breakdown and develop overtime it's pretty much my favorite arc of all time. I really loved watching how Faith dealt with accidentally killing that guy in pretty much the worse way possible by running away from feelings of guilt and even joining the evil side. I thought her whole arc was brilliant but I especially loved seeing her become more self destructive and reckless in the Angel episode Five by Five and I loved that in the next episode she was finally able to take responsibility for her action. I just loved everything about what the show choose to do with Faith's character with this arc because it's absolutely brilliant.
2. Daenerys season 1 character arc(Game of Thornes): I loved watching Daenerys go from a scared and fragile girl to a confident and powerful warrior queen over the course of one season. I loved everything about this arc and I loved watching her character grow and I think this arc is just one of the best to watch.
3. Angelus arc(Buffy the Vampire Slayer): I really loved this plot because I was so emotional invested in this part of the show and this was really a turning point for the show in general with the whole show becoming much darker during this arc. I also really just loved Angelus as a villain because he saw killing and torture as an art form which made him all the more scary.
4. The cracks in the universe arc(Doctor Who series 5): I just really loved the way that this plot unfolded I like that there were little hints about what the cracks in the universe were and what they were doing all through out the series. I also loved how everything ended with the whole universe almost collapsing and I loved the last two episodes of this series the most because they were such great episodes.
5. Eye Opening Arc(Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni): I just really loved watching Shion breakdown and go insane during this arc, in a show were everyone goes insane and kills people Shion's some how stood out to me. I feel like I love this arc so much because this is weirdly the arc that made me love and sympathise with Shion. I loved seeing who Shion was and how she loved Satoshi and how that was one of the main reasons for her mental breakdown. I just loved this whole arc and I also loved that this is the first answer arc of the series.

10 popular YA genres matched with tv shows
1. Vampires: Vampire Diaries: The trend of vampire romances have become extremely popular in recent years to the point that most people never want to read a book about vampires again but there are some series out there that are still worth your time. While the Vampire Diaries tv show is based off a series of books I haven't read the books and I don't plan to because I read the summary of the first four books on wikipedia and it doesn't seem like something I'd like. The Vampire Diaries tv show has interesting characters who are involved in plots that move along faster than almost any other show on tv which makes for some addicting tv. My favorite characters are Caroline, Katherine, Rebekah, Stefan, Damon and Elijah. My favorite couples are Damon/Katherine, Stefan/Elena and Jeremy/Anna.
2.Werewolves: Teen Wolf: Werewolves are slightly less popular trend than vampires in YA but still pretty popular. and while I haven't read a lot werewolf YA books I think Teen Wolf is probably a bit different in a good way from most of those series. I honestly wasn't expecting much from this series when I first started it but it's actually a great series with great characters and interesting mythology and storylines. I found the second show of this season to be great and I have to say that I loved ever episode that aired this summer which isn't something that happens often even if I do love the series.
3. Dystopian: Dollhouse: In the past couple of years dystopians went from practically non-existent in the YA genre to extremely popular while it seems like their isn't a whole lot of tv dystopian series I think Dollhouse kind of counts as one. Dollhouse is actually what I would call a pre-dystopian with all the episodes(save Epitaph one and Epitaph Two) are leading up to a dystopian future rather than being set in one. I think this series makes one ask themselves quite a few questions about human nature just like a dystopian should do(although many YA dystopian's don't because it's just a love triangle set in the future) and it has very interesting characters(it takes quite a while for some people to like the characters in the series) and concept.
4. Fairytale: Pushing Daisies:The fairytale retelling have become popular it seems in the YA genre so I think it my seem a bit odd that I didn't choose the show Once Upon a Time and I instead choose Pushing Daisies which isn't based off a fairytale but it often feels like one. I love this show with it's bright color world, interesting quirky characters and one the sweetest romances to ever grace a television screen between Ned and Chuck.
5. Fantasy kitchen sink: Buffy the Vampire slayer: Some YA series has a whole bunch of different kinds of fantasy creature and no tv show I've seen as a larger variety of monsters than Buffy the Vampire Slayer. BTVS is a great show with great episodes that deal with teen life and young adulthood through metaphors portrayed by the supernatural.
6. SciFi: Doctor Who: SCiFi may not be an extremely popular genre in YA books but it still exists and there is no better scifi series in my opinion than Doctor Who. Doctor Who is a great series about a timelord who goes by the name the Doctor who travels though time and space with is companions and saves the world and the universe whenever he can.
7. Contemporary YA: The OC: The YA books about falling in love for the first time are pretty popular now and have been for a long time and I don't see that changing anytime soon. I think The OC is the teen drama that fits this kind of YA book best because romances are big part of the show and characters who are friends in the show general treat each other well which makes this show better than most teen dramas because it isn't about stabbing your friend in the back to get with some guy or girl. I also love just really love this show and it's my favorite tv show.
8. Contemporary YA serious issues: Degrassi:TNG: It's quite popular for YA books to deal with more series issues like eating disorders or drug use such as in Ellen Hopkins books but it's not something that's popular to do in tv shows for teens. Degrassi is a show that deals with almost ever issue that teens may face in real life and while they don't always protray it well they should get points for at least trying. I love this show but I don't think it's for everyone especially if try to start the show from it's first season it may be a bit hard to get into do the characters ages.
9. Heist Society: White Collar: Heist Society is one of my favorite books and it's about con artists and White Collar is about a con artist that now has to work with the FBI in order to stay out of prison. Both Heist Society and White Collar are extremely enjoyable series that think most people would end up liking.
10. Scandelous life of the rich: Revenge: I'm not sure how popular the trend of rich people is in YA right now but I know that there are quite a few books written about them so I think this category fits. This category is honestly just an excuse for me to mention Revenge which is a great series about how Emily Thorne comes to Hampton's to get revenge on the people who framed her father when she was a young child.
2.Werewolves: Teen Wolf: Werewolves are slightly less popular trend than vampires in YA but still pretty popular. and while I haven't read a lot werewolf YA books I think Teen Wolf is probably a bit different in a good way from most of those series. 30 Days of Female Characters: Day 15: Favorite female character growth arc
Day 15: Favorite female character growth arc: Faith Lehane(Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Angel)
I really loved watching Faith and her arc, I liked how she started off as a slayer who actually liked being a slayer although sometimes it seemed like she enjoyed the killing part of the job too much. I really loved watching her especially after she accidentally killed that guy and ended up teaming up with The Mayor who was actually overall caring parental figure to her that she had been lacking. I love that after she wakes up from the coma and even more so when she goes after Angel how she just becomes more and more reckless and how it's eventually revealed that she wants Angel to kill her. I also loved how she ended turning herself into the police and working towards redemption for the things she did wrong. I just overall love Faith as a character and I also found her arc to be one of my favorite of the whole series.

My Top 10 Kickass Heroines
I've made a list of my top 10 book heroines just I few months ago so that list and this list are pretty similar but for this list I decided to add a few tv heroines as well.
1. Daenerys Targaryen(A Song of Ice and Fire series): Daenerys is a character I love because of how much she evolved within the first book alone I loved how she went from being fearful and seemingly weak to a strong powerful queen to her people. I love how she's able to walk through fire without getting burned and that she brought the dragons back and out of all the charatcers in the series she's the one I think should win the Iron Throne.
2.Usagi Tsukino/Sailor Moon(Sailor Moon): Usagi starts off the series not really wanting to fight the bad guys because she gets scared easily but she also ended up fighting and defeating her enemies because she felt that someone had to fight for justice and she just happened to be the person able to do that. Although it's been a while since I watched the anime and I only read the first 2 volumes of the manga I remember it being said or shown that she's one of the most powerful people ever as well so I that contributes to her characters strength but the reason I love her the most is because she fights even when she scared and that she is often times pretty easy to relate to.
3.Emily Thorne/Amanda Clarke(Revenge): I actually really wanted to put Emily first but I felt I couldn't because Top 10 Tuesday is a book meme and she's from a tv show so I put her as high as I thought I could. I love Emily she's everything I want and more out of a heroine she's very smart with the elaborate schemes she's able to pull off and I love she's able to fake this whole innocent sweet personality so flawlessly. I love that she is actually a skilled fighter even though she doesn't use that part of her skills often because that direct kind of approach won't usually be able to destroy her enemies. I love her determination in her revenge and I like that she's kind of screwed up with how she doesn't care all that much about collateral damage. I love Emily pretty much completely and she's one of the main reasons I love the show so much.
4.Sakura Kinomoto(Cardcaptor Sakura): I love Sakura because she's one of those people who wants to be friends with everyone and I love how her kindness actually often times help her capture that cards. I also love that she uses quick thinking to capture the cards as well and I love that she doesn't give up on things. Also it said towards the end of the manga that Sakura is the most powerful magical person ever.
5.Nikita(Nikita): I've only recently started watching Nikita but I love the show as well as the character. I think that Nikita is a great heroine because she's strong and smart with how she's able to take on Division with very little outside help. I also like that she isn't detached from her emotions but she knows how to control them.
6.Alyss Heart(The Looking Glass Wars series): I remember Alyss being a good leader who has had to take her kingdom back by force twice in the first two books.
7.Katarina Bishop(The Heist Society series): I love Kat because she's very smart and she's confident in her abilities and I like that she's able to keep her cool during a stressful situation quite easily.
8.Chloe Saunders(The Darkest Powers series): I love her because she knows how she should play a situation to her advantage and then does it and I also like that she can raise the dead.
9.Buffy Summers(Buffy the Vampire Slayer): I may not always love her but I think everyone can agree that she's a great heroine with how she has saved the world many times even though it was often at the expense of her own happiness which just makes her more heroic.
10.Katiness Everdeen(The Hunger Games): She's a good fighter and she does everything in her power to survive the games even though she's not a character I really like I still think she's a great heroine.

30 Days of Female Characters: Day 6: Favorite Female Driven Show
Day 6: Favorite Female Driven Show: Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Buffy the Vampire Slayer is great show overall and it does an especially good job at creating and developing female characters. Buffy the main character is the slayer who protects the world from monsters and demons many times and has to sacrifice much in the process. While Buffy is not one of my favorite characters I do admire her strength and willingness to sacrifice for the greater good and I also sympathize with her quite a bit. Then there's Willow who starts of as a bookish girl who was good at computers but seemed a little timid at first who eventually becomes one of the most powerful witches and also goes through a lot of personal struggles as well. This show also introduced me to Cordelia who I loved from pretty early on but she gets most of her development on Angel as does Darla the vampire who turned Angel. There's also scary and crazy Drusilla who love a lot but a lot of her backstory is shown on Angel as well. Then there's Faith the self destructive Slayer who I love so much and she goes through a great character arc and has this complicated relationship with Buffy that I love. There's Anya the former demon who tries to adopt to being human and is pretty much my favorite part of the show post season three. There's quite a few more great female characters on the show as well which is saying quite a lot considering how many characters I already mentioned.

Fantastic Five Friday: Top 5 Flashback Episodes
Fantastic Friday is a weekly meme that's hosted by The Weekly Enthusiast
1. Angel: Darla(2.07): This episode gives the backstory of Darla's character with how she became a vampire and more about her relationship with Angelous. I also loved the story set in the present with Darla having to come to terms with having a soul again and there quite a few nice parallels with how she dealt with feeling the wait of her soul and how Angel dealt with it. I overall love this episode and I think it's brilliant I love that it moves the plot forward while still providing a lot of backstory.
2. Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Fool for Love(5.07): This episode gives Spike's backstory of how he went from a lousy poet to a badass vampire who has killed two slayers. I really loved seeing how Spike evolved and love the relationship he shares with Drusilla it's both sweet and creepy especially the moment when the two of them had sex next to the corpse of the first slayer he killed. I loved the conversation between Spike and Angelous were it's made clear that Spike just likes a good fight and Angelous sees the murders he commits as a work of art, I just really like how the shows have always made a clear distinction between the two characters styles. I also loved that Spike told Buffy one of the things no one else would be willing to tell her about being a slayer which is that all slayers are more or less death seekers.
3. Vampire Diaries: Children of the Damned(1.13): I loved this episode which explained what was going on with all the vampires in 1864 and I like that it showed that there were so many vampires that were around that were sent to burn in the church. I also liked seeing the weird relationship that Stefan/Katherine/Damon seemed to share during that time period with how Damon and Stefan are both sleeping with Katherine and they both know about it and they don't seem to be fighting at all. I also loved that this episode showed how much Damon loves Katherine and I of course just loved seeing Katherine.
4. Dollhouse: Epitaph One(1.13): I love this episode which is a flashback flashforward with how this episode is set 10 years in the future for the main characters but there's flashbacks in this episode which tells the story of how civilization fell apart with the Dollhouse technology being released.
5. White Collar: Forging Bonds(2.11): I liked that in this episode we got to see what Neal's life was like before he got arrested as well as knowing how he met Kate and Mozzie.
Honorable Mentions: Firefly:Out of Gas; Heroes: The Company Man; Vampire Diaries: Katrina, Klaus, The End of the Affair and 1912; Revenge: Legacy; Dollhouse:Target. Also episodes that didn't make the list because I don't think of them as flashback episodes are Angel: Five by Five and Dollhouse: Belonging.

Fantastic Friday is a weekly meme that's hosted by The Weekly Enthusiast
1. "Passion. It lies in all of us. Sleeping...waiting... And though unwanted... unbidden... it will stir... open its jaws, and howl. It speaks to us... guides us... Passion rules us all. And we obey. What other choice do we have? Passion is the source of our finest moments. The joy of love... the clarity of hatred... and the ecstasy of grief. It hurts sometimes more than we can bear. If we could live without passion, maybe we'd know some kind of peace. But we would be hollow. Empty rooms, shuttered and dank... Without passion, we'd be truly dead." Angelus, Buffy the Vampire Slayer
2."Sometimes I think I was born backwards. You know, come out my mum the wrong way. I hear words go past me backwards. The people I should love, I hate. And the people I hate..." Effy Stonem, Skins
3 "All I'm Saying is that every time I think shit can't get more fucked up, shit gets way more fucked up." Silas Botwin, Weeds
4. "You're not a bad influence because you're a drug dealer. You're a bad influence because you're a bad drug dealer." Shane Botwin, Weeds
5. "I'm not a dealer, I'm a mother who happens to distribute illegal products through a sham bakery set up by my ethically questionable CPA and his crooked lawyer friend." Nancy Botwin, Weeds

Fantastic Five Friday: Top 5 TV Couples
Fantastic Friday is a weekly meme that's hosted by The Weekly Enthusiast
1. Seth and Summer(The OC): I'm not exactly sure what to say about this couple other than I love them and I think that they're perfect for each other. I love how Seth had a crush on Summer for years before they got together and I love that part of the reason that he liked her was because of things no one else notices and I liked that part of the reason she started liking him back was because he likes her for things other guys don't even notice about her. I also love how they're different but at the same time similar enough that it makes sense why they would be good together. Also two of my favorite kissing scenes take place between those two the two scene are the coffee cart scene in season 1 and the spiderman kiss in season 2. I just really love them and I really need to rewatch The OC again in order to really properly describe my love for these two.
2. Ned and Chuck(Pushing Daisies): I love these two because they have this sweet fairytale like relationship that I just can't help but love. I also like how even though they can't touch each other they don't ever give up on their relationship and I like that they are perfectly content to just spend time together.
3. Victor and Sierra(Dollhouse): I love these two because they fall in love with each other no matter what the situation. I love that they were able to fall for each other when they were in doll state and in their original personalities but especially love that they were able to fall in love with each other even when they were imprinted with different personalities. I love this two because they always find each other and they prove to me that soul mates do exist.
4. Damon and Katherine(Vampire Diaries): I love this two together because they are actually quite similar to each other when it comes to personality and I love the history that exists between them. I love that Damon loved Katherine for 146 years and that he did everything he could to save her even though she was in no need of saving. I love that Damon has always known what kind of person(or rather vampire) Katherine was and he loved her all the more because of it not inspite of it. I love that Damon would have easily forgiven Katherine faking her own death for 145 years if she felt the same way about him. I also of course love the incredible chemistry between the two of them it's such a passionate relationship they share and I love it all the more for that. I think that Katherine loves Damon two it's just that she doesn't like to get attach to anyone ever because love causes people to make mistakes and if she made a mistake she could easily end up dead which is way she won't ever let Damon knows she loves him to. I could honestly write a super long paper on this two explaining why I think these two loved each other in 1864 and still do now in present day and why I think they're perfect for each other but I feel that I already said to much for just a quick list of favorite couples. That being said I will never stop hoping these two will admit they love each other and became a messed up version of a couple.
5. Spike and Drusilla(Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Angel): I love these two because they proved that just because someone is soulless it doesn't mean they're heartless. I also love that they were together for over a century and I just love the way the were so sweet and so creepy together at the same time.
Honorable Mentions : Declan/Holly J(Degrassi:TNG)Topher/Bennett(Dollhouse), Chad/Sonny(Sonny with a Chance), and Ryan/Taylor(The OC)

Fantastic Friday: Top 5 Female Characters
Fantastic Friday is a weekly meme that's hosted by The Weekly Enthusiast.
1. River Tam(Firefly):I love River being this odd mixture strong and weak throughout the series. I love and feel bad for her because of what had happened to her before the series began and that because those things she not really able to function like a normal person anymore. I love her odd speech patterns as well. I love that she's super smart and that she has the ability to taken down a room full reavers.
2. Tohru Honda(Fruits Basket):I love her for her kind and accepting nature. I love that she can also find the good in people even when they can't see it themselves. I love that she wants to befriend and help pretty much everyone no matter who they are or what they had done in the past even if they were cruel to her.
3. Caroline Forbes(Vampire Diaries): I love Caroline for being a cheerful optimistic character despite the bad things that have happened to her. I also love that she is a good friend and that she always stands up for herself and friends.
4.Sakura Kinomato(Cardcaptor Sakura):I love Sakura for being so sweet and optimistic as well as brave. I also love that she comes up with creative ways to capture the Clow cards rather than relaying on strength.
5. Cordelia Chase(Buffy/Angel): I love her because she always speaks her mind and says what she believes to be, even when other people rather not hear the truth. I also love her because she makes me laugh and she brave and has a good heart even though she can be abit shallow or bitchy at times.

Top 10 Female TV Characters
Honorable mentions: Merlin(Morgana) The O.C. ( Summer, Kaitlin and Julie) Psych (Juliet) Burn Notice (Fiona) Firefly ( Kaylee) Pushing Daises (Olive) Pretty Little Liars (Hannah and Emily) Degrassi:TNG (Clare and Fiona)
"Like I need a reason to be mean to you."
Blue: "There's no I in team." Holly J: There is in bite me.
"You like low maintenance. Date a honda!"
At first I didn’t like Holly J. at all in fact I hated her because at that time she was just some bitchy popular girl and I didn’t like any of the new characters. But she ended up growing on me as she developed and grew nicer although she still can be a bitch I know that she cares deeply about her friends, is an extremely hard worker, very intelligent( she got into Yale), she knows what she wants and goes after and she’s played by one of the best actress on the show.
9. Cassie Ainsworth (Skins UK)

“Do you know what hurts most about a broken heart? Not being able to remember how you felt before... try and keep that feeling, because... if it goes... you'll never get it back.”
“Yeah, erm, wow, lovely... No. But, I like that you're funny looking, it's cute. Like wow, man.”
“Oh wow, I was really... I didn't eat for three days so I could be lovely.”
“You like me. You like me. Look up, if you like me. Look up, if you like me. Look up, if you like me.”
I loved Cassie since the first scene she was in, I liked that she was crazy and talked in an odd way and I always felt for her. I loved her being so fragile and how she seemed to find beauty in everything. Honestly I liked Cassie a lot more in series 1 then I did in series 2 because she went from sweet insecure girl to a crazy manipulative girl which is why she isn’t higher on the list.
8.Faith Lehane(Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Angel)

"Don't you need anyone dead? Or maimed? I can settle for maimed"
"Gee, if doing violence to vampires upsets you, I think you're in the wrong line of work."
"We're Slayers, girlfriend. The Chosen two. Why should we let him take all the fun out of it?"
"When are you going to get this, B? Life for a Slayer is very simple -- want... take... have"
“ Five by five.”
"What isn't? You know, I come to Sunnydale. I'm the Slayer. I do my job kicking ass better than anyone. What do I hear about everywhere I go? Buffy. So I slay, I behave, I do the good little girl routine. And who's everybody thank? Buffy."
Faith is my favorite slayer for sure, she just so interesting because she puts up this front like she doesn’t care about anything and nothing can hurt but from her first episode you could tell she wasn’t exactly stable which is what made her so interesting. I loved her arc how she went over to the dark side so to speak but she does eventually comes back but it’s a long painful journey for her and a lot of other people. I like that she’s a bad girl and has this sexy vibe and of course she’s a total badass and likes violence a little too much.
7. Charlotte “Chuck” Charles (Pushing Daises)

“A hug is like an emotional Heimlich: they put their arms around you and give you a squeeze and all your fear and anxiety goes shooting out of your mouth like a big wet wad and you can breathe again."
"Which birthday do I celebrate? I’ve got two of them now: First day I was alive and first day I was alive again."
I love Chuck for being extremely cheerful and always looking on the bright side which is a little odd seeing as she was murder but luckily she was brought back to life. I also love that she has read a ton of books, that she still tries to take care of her aunts even though she can’t see them anymore and of course the way she dress her wardrobe is as bright and cheerful as she is.
6. Cordelia Chase (Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Angel)

"I'm not saying that we should kill a teacher every day just so I can lose weight, I'm just saying when tragedy strikes, we have to look on the bright side"
“Tact is just not saying true stuff. I’ll pass.”
"You're a sheep. All you ever do is what everyone else does, just so you can say you did it first. And here I am, scrambling for your approval, when I'm way cooler than you are, 'cause I'm not a sheep. I do what I want to do, and I wear what I want to wear, and you know what? I date whoever the hell I want to date. No matter how lame he is."
"Oh, God. Is the world ending? I have to research a paper on Bosnia for tomorrow, but if the world's ending, I'm not gonna bother"
"I came over here to tell Buffy to stop this craziness, and found you all unconscious--again. How many times have you been knocked out, anyway? I swear, one of these times, you're going to wake up in a coma"
“Oh, God! What am I gonna do? I'm good for exactly two things: international superstardom, or helping a vampire with a soul to rid the world of evil. That makes for a short but colorful résumé.”
“I think it, I say it. It's my way.”
Cordelia:I finally get invited to a nice place with no mirrors and lots of curtains... hey, you're a vampire!
Russell: [caught off-guard] What? No, I'm not.
Cordelia: Are too!
Russell: I don't know what you're talking about.
Cordelia: I'm from Sunnydale. We had our own Hellmouth. I think I know a vampire when... I'm... alone with him... in his... fortress-like home.
I’ve always found Cordelia to be one of my favorite characters even back when she was just used as the bitchy shallow popular girl it probably was because she had the best lines. Although Cordelia could be shallow, bitchy and self-centered at times you could always tell she had a good heart and she would always tell the truth whether you wanted her to or not. She eventually developed into someone who was extremely caring and loyal to her friends.
5. Taylor Townsend (The O.C.)

Taylor: [explaining her new crush on Ryan] - then, when he helped me with my husband, and he kissed me, it was like Dorothy landing in Oz. Everything popped into Technicolor.
Seth: Ah.
Taylor: [offended] You think I don't know what that means?
Seth: I said "ah."
Taylor: Meaning "Ah, that Taylor. She is so pathetic. Someone's the least bit nice to her and she becomes totally obsessed with them. First me, and then her French husband when he lent her a subway ticket, now Ryan."
Seth: Well, isn't it kinda true?
Taylor: So what? Yes. I have a psychological predilection to become romantically attached to men who are nice to me, due to the fact I was raised by a she-wolf of a mother who practiced emotional terrorism. Does that mean, that if by some miracle, love does come into my life, I should deny it? What kind of person would that make me? What kind of life - “I speak fluent housekeeper.”
“Your dad and Julie Cooper are doing it. Yeah, it’s a shock to me, too. I wouldn’t have believed it myself if I hadn’t seen it with my own eyes. It was all very mid-‘90s, overwrought thriller, sort of a Verhoeven shade.”
I love Taylor for being so odd and kind of crazy but she also seems to be cheerful a lot of the time. I also like that she was fluent in several languages and also how she always seemed to talk to much and go off on random tangents. I thought she was a good friend to Summer and exactly the kind of girl Ryan need since she didn’t to be saved all the time. She’s also the character on the OC that I related to the most which is just kind of odd seeing how out there she could be at times.
4. Blair Waldorf (Gossip Girl)

“Since we're not friends anymore, let me speak frankly. You're not that smart. You lack focus and discipline. Charm is all well and good, but in the real world, knowledge is power. You wouldn't make it past the first round of admissions at Yale no matter how hard you tried.”
Serena: I know you may find this hard to believe, but not everyone wants to go to Yale because not everyone wants to be Blair Waldorf.
Blair: Not everyone can be.
“Haven’t you heard? I’m the crazy bitch around here.”
"I'm ready for my punishment. Whatever you and God think is fair. Flogging, fasting, putting that thing with the teeth around my thigh like Silas."
I think it’s impossible to watch Gossip Girl not love Blair Waldorf. Although is a bitch a lot of the time I still always root for and I also like that despite how beautiful and popular she is still insecure which makes her easier to relate to. She also cares deeply about her friends, is extremely smart and is always come up with schemes which I love for.
3. Caroline Forbes (The Vampire Diaries)

“So you're saying that now I'm basically an insecure, neurotic, control freak, on crack.”
“Why didn't he go for me? How come the guys that I want never want me? I'm inappropriate, always say the wrong thing and Elena always says the right thing. She doesn't even try, and he just picks her. And she's always the one that everyone picks. For everything. And I try so hard and I'm never the one…”
Caroline:You shouldn't leave again.
Tyler: You're kidding, right? This is the second time I've tried to kill you.
Caroline: Well, no friendship is perfect.
“You help your friend. That's what you do.”
“Everyone just needs to stop kissing me!”
“I don't get to choose the ring I have to wear the rest of my life?”
I love Caroline so much it’s probably unhealthy how much I spend gushing about how wonderful she is. She’s just extremely cheerful most of the time and a great friend to all and seems to not hold any grudges. I also think she grew a lot since the first episode even before she became a vampire. Since becoming I vampire she has become a valuable member of the team, and also stronger, more confident and uses her vampire powers very wisely. I also find her to be cuter then a basket of kittens.
2. Drusilla (Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Angel)

“Do you like daisies? I plant them, but they always die. Everything I put in the ground withers and dies.”
Drusilla:I can't see her. The Slayer. I can't see. It's dark where she is. Kill her. Kill her, Spike. Kill her for me?
Spike: It's done, baby.
Drusilla:Kill her for princess?
Spike: I'll chop her into messes.
“Miss Edith speaks out of turn. She's a bad example and will have no cakes today.”
Drusilla: I'm naming all the stars.
Spike: You can't see the stars, love. That's the ceiling. Also it's day.
Drusilla: I can see them. But I've named them all the same name, and there's terrible confusion.
"What will your mommy sing when they find your body?"
Dru is my favorite vampire by quite a lot actually I love her for being so crazy but at the same time she seems to know more then most probably due to her being psychic. I love her for being able to love and how she seems to come across as both childish and deadly it’s such an odd combination.

1.River Tam (Firefly)

“It isn't mine. The memory, it isn't mine. And I shouldn't have to carry it. It isn't mine.”
“Put a bullet to me. Bullet in the brain pan, squish.”
River: Bible's broken. Contradictions, false logistics - doesn't make sense.
Book: No, no. You-you-you can't...
River: So we'll integrate non-progressional evolution theory with God's creation of Eden. Eleven inherent metaphoric parallels already there. Eleven. Important number. Prime number. One goes into the house of eleven eleven times, but always comes out one. Noah's ark is a problem.
Book: Really?
River: We'll have to call it early quantum state phenomenon. Only way to fit 5000 species of mammal on the same boat.
River: I remember everything. I remember too much. And some of it's made up, and some of it can't be quantified, and there's secrets, and...
Simon: Hey, i-it's okay. River: But, I understand. You gave up everything you had to find me. You found me broken. It's hard for you. You gave up everything you had.
Simon: Hey, i-it's okay. River: But, I understand. You gave up everything you had to find me. You found me broken. It's hard for you. You gave up everything you had.
Simon: Mei-mei, everything I have is right here.
“Played with Kaylee. The sun came out, and I walked on my feet and heard with my ears. I hate the bits, the bits that stay down and I work, I f-function like I'm a girl. I hate it because I know it'll go away! The sun grows dark and chaos has come again. It's... fluids. What am I?”
“You're afraid we're going to run out of air. That we'll die gasping. But we won't. That's not going to happen. We'll freeze to death first.”
“The human body can be drained of blood in 8.6 seconds given adequate vacuuming systems.”
“Also I can kill you with my brain
I love River for being both the strongest and weakest character on the show all at the sometime. I love her for being so incredibly smart and I was surprised and impressed by how strong she was and how good of a fighter she was. I loved her being so crazy and how she would say things that made sense but in a way that made it seem like you were crazy if you understood it. I felt so bad for her having to feel everything, having powers she didn’t quite understand nor could she control and that she had memories that weren’t hers or weren’t true. She’s so interesting because she’s so many different things at the same time.
