  4. Never Have I Ever by Sara Shepard: Is the second book in the Lying Games series and I loved the first book and can’t wait to read the next book.
  5. Paranormalcy by Kiersten White: I liked the description of this book and hope it will be as good as I think it will be and the cover’s pretty.
  6. Anna Dressed in Blood by Kendare Blake: This book sounds really good and different from most books.
  7. Entwined by Heather Dixon: This book sounds interesting and it has one of the prettiest covers.
  8. Uncommon Criminals by Ally Carter: I’m currently reading the first book Heist Society and I love it so of course I want to read the next book.
  9. Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins: I want to read this book because almost everyone else seems to love this book and I really wonder why everyone loves it so much.
  10. The Heroes of Olympus: The Lost Hero by Rick Riordan: I loved the Percy Jackson and the Olympians books and this is set in the same universe as those books so I’m hoping there just as entertaining.

TV Review: Alphas: Catch and Release(1.07)

                                      Alphas: Catch and Release(1.07)Review

In this episode the team tries to help an alpha named Skyler(played by Summer Glau who I know from playing River on Firefly and Cameron on The Terminator:TSCC) who can make whole lot of complicated machines. I liked all the twist there were to the story in the episode and I liked all the complicated inventions that Skyler made and I was glad she wasn’t a bad person. I also really liked the friendship between Skyler and Nina I liked that they had history together.

I also kind of dislike Gary’s mom for trying to stop him from working with the other alphas but I could understand why she was worried about his well being. I also liked that Gary came and helped the team anyways. I overall really liked this episode and I loved seeing Summer Glau on TV again. Please tell me your thoughts on the episode.

Top 10 books I loved but never wrote a review for

I'm relatively new to blogging so the reason I haven't reviewed these books is because I only started blogging recently.
1. Perks of Being a Wallflower: This is my favorite book and I think it’s my favorite because of how sweet the main character Charlie is and I love the way he thinks and sees the world. There’s not a whole lot that happens plot wise in this book but it does a really good job making you care about the characters.

2. The Book Thief: This is another book I love the story is good and enjoy almost all the characters. The last few chapters I cried so hard and I was on the bus, also I love Death as a narrator.

3. Impulse: I love this book and all three of the main characters and I love that we get to here the story from all three of their’s point of view and I end up I understanding why each of the characters tried to kill themselves.

4. The Percy Jackson and the Olympians series: I love this series and I love all the characters and I love all the quests they go on and I love that series was clearly heading to a big climax but the series didn’t end they way I expected it to. I also love Percy as a narrator in he may be my favorite narrator him or Charlie from Perks of Being a Wallflower.

5. Uglies series: I really like this series it was my first dystopia book and I found the society that they live in to be really interesting

6.Alice in Wonderland: I really love this book for being kind of crazy and not really making a whole lot of sense and I really like the character of Alice.

7. The Looking Glass Wars: I love this take on Alice in Wonderland because it’s so different then any other take I’ve seen and I love the relationship between Alyss and Dodge.

8. Glass Menagerie: I love this play because of the character of Laura because I can relate to the way she feels and I like stories about screwed up families.

9. Catch 22: I like this book because I like the sense of humor that it has and for some reason I love the character Major Major Major.

10. Reading in the Dark: I love this book so much and I read almost every time I go to my grandparents house(she’s the one that owns the book) and I love the story and it’s really hard for me to put down once I start reading it.

TV Review: The Nine Lives of Chloe King:Responsible(1.09)

The Nine Lives of Chloe King:Responsible(1.09)Review

In this episode Chloe gives advice Vanessa the daughter of her mom’s boyfriend and when she runs away with her creepy boyfriend Chloe feels it’s her fault and tries to find her. Chloe along with Alek find out that Vanessa’s boyfriend is involved with human trafficking(I’m pretending their involved with the Dollhouse) and they go done their beat the crap out of those guys and they make an awesome battle couple and ended up rescuing Vanessa and everyone else. Through out this episode the relationship between Chloe and Alek start to develop and I really like them as a couple and I loved when he brought her roses. On a completely unrelated note I really like the way Alek says status.

Also in this episode Brian investigates further into his mother’s death and discovers that his grandmother who he was told died when he was four is still alive and he also found an address and he wants to go to it. In this episode it appears that a Mai boy is working with the group that wants to kill Chloe and he pretends to be interested in Jasmine. I overall really liked this episode and I think it’s one of the best of the season. Please tell me your thoughts on the episode.

TV Review: The Lying Game: Pilot(1.01)

                                     The Lying Game: Pilot(1.01)Review

The Lying Game is about twin sisters Emma and Sutton who switch places for awhile based upon the book series of the same name. The TV series is quite a bit different in that Sutton is still alive, Sutton and Emma actually meet each other, Sutton is looking into her past and that’s how she found Emma, Sutton and her group of friends seem much nicer, there’s been no mention of the lying game, and Sutton and Ethan were apparently dating. The episode was okay but I just kept thinking that the book was so much better but there are a few changes I like Sutton being alive, I also liked Luke more then I liked Garrett for some odd reason and I like that Sutton’s parents knew that Sutton had a twin and also like their relationship Sutton/Emma better. A change I didn’t like was with Ethan being Sutton’s secret boyfriend and I didn’t like how he found out about Emma. Overall the episode was okay but I prefer the book but I’ll keep watching to see if I can stop comparing the two. Please tell me your thoughts on the episode.

TV Review: Alphas: Billy and Gary's Excellent Adventure(1.06)

Alphas: Billy and Gary's Excellent Adventure(1.06)Review

In this episode Bill and Gary team up to find a kidnapped girl and later on the rest of team joins in to help them find and save the girl in the end. In this episode we also learn why Bill was suspend from the FBI and in the end he decides that he’d rather be DCIS instead.

In this episode we also learn that Nina fears she may have unknowingly pushed an ex boyfriend to sucide and her Hicks seem to develop a romantic relationship. I overall enjoyed this episode and I’m really really excited for next week’s episode. Please tell me your thoughts on the episode.

TV Review: Switched at Birth: Homecoming(1.10)

                                       Switched at Birth: Homecoming(1.10)Review

  • In this episode I really liked the relationship between Bay and Emmett. I liked that they were able to work through their problems, I especially I liked that he spoke for her and choose her over Daphne I especially liked that because all season it seemed like everyone else choose Daphne over her.
  • I liked that after Daphne told Emmett she liked him he told her that he waited for her for eight years and she was too late.
  • I also was surprised by Bay’s dad showing up but I’m unsure of his motives and whether or not he’s a good guy.
  • I liked the scenes between Bay, Toby and Wilkie.
  • For some odd reason I really like the idea of a relationship between Daphne and Wilkie.
  • I really liked the scene were Toby tells Emmett that Bay was sad.
  • I overall really liked this episode and I think it may be my favorite of the season either this or Pandora’s Box.
Please tell me your thoughts on the episode.

TV Review: Teen Wolf: Formality(1.11)

                                                      Teen Wolf: Formality(1.11)Review
  • At the beginning of this episode Alison has trouble coping with the existence of werewolves and what her family does with them.
  • I liked that in this episode we learn that Scott’s boss knows about werewolves but he isn’t on Peter’s side and he wants to protect Scott.
  • I was extremely surprised to learn that Derek and Kate used to sleep together and this may or may not have led to his family being brunt alive.
  • I liked that Scott forced Jackson to go to the dance with Alison in order to keep her safe and I also enjoyed the friendship between Alison and Jackson.
  • I also really liked the relationship between Scott and Alison during this episode I especially liked when he told her he loved her.
  • I liked seeing the relationship between Stiles and Lydia and I love that he knows how smart she really is.
  • I love Peter as a villain he’s so smart and in a completely creepy way kind of charming or classy. I especially like the scene were he threatens to kill Lydia unless Stiles tells him were to find Derek and I like that this scene shows that Stiles knows a lot more then he lets on.
  • I’m very curious to find out how Alison is going to take discovering Scott’s a werewolf.
Please tell me your thoughts on the episode.

Top 10 Friendships in Books

1.Harry, Ron and Hermione(Harry Potter series): I love this friendship because there always there for each other and they’ve been through a lot together.

2. Liesel and Rudy(The Book Thief):  I love this friendship because they often would swore at each other and argued but you could still tell they really cared about each other. I also ship them together but since the never ended up together I’m happy to enjoy their friendship.

3. Cammie, Liz, Bex and Macy(Gallagher Girls series): I really like the bond between the girls and I love them doing cov ops stuff by themselves.
4. Kat, Hale, Simon, Gabrielle, Angus and Hamish(Heist Society series): I really love all the characters and they work really well together. I feel that all of these characters are different and contribute something to the group and that the job couldn’t have been done without one of them.
5.Connor, Tony and Vanessa(Impulse):  I really liked the bond that these three messed up people developed and how their bond with each other helped them to get better.
6. Percy and Rachel Elizabeth Dare(Percy Jackson and the Olympians series): I know this isn’t the most popular friendship in the series but I really liked their friendship as well as both characters themselves, I liked that Percy was able to have a friend outside of camp half blood that knew his secret and I liked that Rachel was able to know more about the things she could see through the mist through their friendship.
7. Lena, Tibby, Cameron and Bridget(The sisterhood of the Traveling Pants series): I liked that girls are all so different yet their still best friends and they had been friends their whole life.
8. Percy and Nico(Percy Jackson and the Olympians series):  Once again I know this isn’t one of the most popular friendships but I really love pretty much anytime they share a scene together although I have a feeling that’s because these two are my favorite characters. I also think that these twos relationship is one of the relationships that had changed the most over the course of the series.
9. Katiness and Rue(Hunger Games):  I was both surprised and happy at the relationship developed between these two and I liked that these two weren’t just allies but people who actually cared for each other despite the situation they were in.

10. Tally and Shay(Uglies series): In all honesty this is probably one of the most unhealthy friendships with them pretty much always backstabbing each other but it’s also one of the most interesting ones as well.

TV Review: The Nine Lives of Chloe King:Heartbreaker(1.08)

The Nine Lives of Chloe King:Heartbreaker(1.08)Review

In this episode after Chloe screws up her love life she ends up trying to help a woman get her bag back only to discover that they were two thieves fighting over the loot and she ends up getting arrested. Also in this episode Chloe’s mom becomes suspicious of Chloe’s secretive behavior and finds out that Chloe is contacting her father. The thieves try to take out Chloe and her mom towards the end but both Chloe and Alek end up stopping them without Chloe’s mom figuring out that Chloe’s Mai.

I really liked that both Brain and Alek were mad at Chloe for most of the episode because they had every right to be but I’m still glad that they both made up with her by the end of the episode but neither are in a relationship with her. I also liked that we learned about Alek’s back story and I also found him towards the end the end of the episode. I also really liked that Brain found out what the key he got went to and I liked that in the last scene it pretty much confirms that Brain’s father had something to do with his mother’s death.

I overall really enjoyed this episode and I think it’s one of the best of the season. I also think that Chloe should tell her mom about her being Mai because that’s just something she can’t hide forever. Please tell me your thoughts on the episode.

TV Review: Alphas: Never Let Me Go(1.05)

                           Alphas: Never Let Me Go(1.05)Review

In the this episode the team finds out that an alpha is killing people through the power of love or rather by taking away that love. I liked that the villain this episode was a grieving mother who was very easy to sympathies with and to understand why she was doing what she was doing. I also liked that we focused more Rachel’s character this episode with learning that she can’t even kiss a guy because of her alpha ability and that she not really talking to her parents right now and their not very accepting of her ability. I also liked that the relationship between Rachel and Dr,Rosen seemed to developed more. I also found it interesting that Bill’s alpha ability allows him to have super speed as well. I overall really enjoyed this episode and I look forward to the next one, please tell me your thoughts on the episode.

Top 10 Under rated books

1. Reading In the Dark by Seamus Deane: Is a book I love and I’ve read it about three or four times but I’ve never read or heard anything about this book. I like the story because it starts when the main character is like three or something and goes into his adulthood and he ends up learning all of his family’s secrets over the years.

2. White Oleander by Janet Fitch: The book isn’t so much under rated as a whole but not really talked about much anymore and it’s so much better then the movie that was made simply because it’s longer.

3.The Glass Menagerie by Tennessee Williams: While it’s technically a play but I’ve never seen it performed so I’m counting it as book and it’s not exactly under rated but I don’t hear about it much and Laura is on of my all time favorite characters.

4.The Looking Glass Wars series by Frank Beddor: I rarely hear or read about this series despite it being a twist on Alice In Wonderland and a good when at that but it’s not popular as other takes on the story although it’s better then quite a few and it’s YA fantasy but it’s not really all that popular which also surprises me since it seems like a series that would be popular but isn’t.

5.Extras by Scott Westerfeld: This book is the last book in the Uglies series and is by far the least popular and I can’t understand why since it’s my favorite but that may be because I like Aya a lot more then I liked Tally.

6. Impulse by Ellen Hopkins: Is one of my favorite books but I don’t see it talk about very often but it’s still pretty popular.

7. Identical by Ellen Hopkins: Is another book I like a lot but not as much as Impulse and it’s also not as popular but neither really seem top be all that popular but the people who’ve read them seem to enjoy them.

8.The Darkest Powers series by Kelly Armstrong: Is sort of popular but not enough that anyone wants it be made into a movie or anything although with main character Chloe describing scenes like she was directing a movie makes me wonder why there aren’t any rumors about movie being made.

9.Gallagher Girls series by Ally Carter: Is a book series I really enjoy but I don’t see it talked about a lot and since I really enjoy the series I’m putting it on the list.

10. Secret Circle series by L.J. Smith: This series is fairly popular since it’s being made into a TV series but it’s not as popular as I expected it to be since it’s pretty rare that I see anything about the book series being written it’s not as popular as I think it should be.

TV Review: Switched at Birth: Paradise Lost(1.09)

                                        Switched at Birth: Paradise Lost(1.09)Review

  • In this episode I ended up really like Bay like when she explains how she wants her art to seen and I liked that she seems to trying to learn how to sign and I liked that she was the one who want to tell Daphne about her and Emmett’s relationship.
  • I also really enjoyed the relationship between Bay and Emmett and I thought the gift he ended up giving her was super sweet.
  • I felt bad for Regina in this episode although she does deserve everyone being mad at her and I’m glad that her and Daphne made up.
  • I thought it was unfair for Emmett’s mom to dislike Bay because she was hearing especially because she’s learning to sign.
Please tell me your thoughts on the episode.

Book Review: Identical

                                                       Identical Review

The book Identical by Ellen Hopkins(who also wrote Impulse which I loved) it’s about twin sisters Kaeleigh and Raeanne and their screwed up family. The book did a very good job at setting up the world that the characters lived in as well as the characters themselves and the book manages to make you feel sympathy for almost every single character at least one point no matter how horrible they are. I also liked the contrast between Kaeleigh and Raeanne the were pretty much completely different from each other but kind of similar in a way and they both were very damaged. I personally liked Kaealeigh more but I liked Reaenne as well.

I liked the way in which Kaeleigh used bingeing and cutting to feel like she’s in control and Raeanne used sex and purging to feel in control it made sense for both there characters and I liked seeing those things used in that way. Spoiler warning: I also liked the way in which Kaeleigh discovers that Raeanne is dead and that she has a split personality and I also liked how they explained the cause of it. I also really liked the six months later part that shows that Kaeleigh is still dealing with everything but while she’s getting better she’s not fully recovered and that the Raeanne personality is still around.

Other then Kaeleigh and Raeanne the only other characters I really liked were Greta and Ian. Greta was an old lady that was staying at the old folks home which Kaeleigh worked at, I really liked her character because she has been through a situation similar to Kaeleigh and she ended up getting through and in the end becoming a stronger person. I loved Ian who was Kaeleigh’s best friend and later boyfriend because he was always there for and he loved her pretty much unconditional and he was the one who helped Kaeleigh discovered that she had DID. I also loved how the story was written in prose and that some of the poems actually made shapes and I enjoyed reading two different points of view. I overall really liked this book.

TV Review:Teen Wolf:Co-Captain(1.10)

                                                Teen Wolf:Co-Captain(1.10)Review
  • I think that Derek’s uncle makes a very good villain he’s sick and twisted but very smart and he has a pretty good reason for killing the people he has so far except for Derek’s sister.
  • I realized in this episode I really liked the character of Danny.
  • I’m glad that Scott isn’t going to do as Derek’s uncle says and I’m glad that he wants to protect everyone. I especially enjoy the scene where he tells Jackson that being a werewolf is a bad thing.
  • I’m glad that by the end of the episode Jackson realizes he doesn’t really want to be a werewolf and I was glad Scott defended him. I also thought Colton Hayes did a good acting job in that scene.
  • I loved the scenes between Stiles and his dad, I overall really enjoy their relationship and those scenes actually advance the plot.
  • I liked the scene were Alison shoots the arrow.
  • I also liked the scenes between Scott and Alison.
  • I liked when Derek tells Jackson that no one cares about him.
  • I’m very curious how Alison is going to take finding out about werewolves and that her family hunts them.
  • I’m also wonder how Scott’s boss is involved in all of the werewolf stuff.
Pleas tell me your thoughts on the episode.

Top 10 Tuesday: Trends I'd like to see more/Less of in Books

Trends I’d like to see more of:

1. Con artists: I know this trend is really small right know but every time I see or read something that has a con in it I absolutely love it and I just want see more of it. I love the plans that the characters pull off and I also wonder whether or not they’ll be able to pull it off and I love the characters even more when their able to pull off their brilliant but slightly crazy schemes.

2. Witches: I know there’s a fair amount of books about witches but I haven’t read a lot of it and the stuff I have read I really like. My favorite parts about books about witches are learning the rules of magic which seems to be different in each series and that main characters are girls who are magical badasses, those are things I almost always love.

3.Female Villains: The villains are a lot of times the most entertaining characters and I must say that I find that if the villains are female they are usually more interesting with theme having more of a back story(most of the time),and a lot of the time female villains are smarter because they don’t use brute force to get things done and the reason I like them the most is because most the time their everything a good girl wants to be but can’t be because it would be wrong to behave that way.

4.Shy Characters: I would really like to see characters who truly very shy and not just someone who doesn’t have many friends or someone who prefers to keep to themselves but someone who is truly shy. I want a character who always talks quietly but doesn’t talk a whole a lot especially to someone they don’t know and I want to at least once have a scene in a book when a shy character has to give a speech in front of class and inside said character is completely freaking out because public speaking is like a form of torture for them. I think it’s because I’m shy and I realize that I barely ever relate to characters in books because they’re always so outgoing.

5.Crazy Characters: I just love it when a character rambles off something that no one else can understand but has some deep meaning or that character is completely unpredictable and you don’t know whether or not their a good person or a bad person or if that even matters any more. Crazy characters usually are the ones that are the most complicated there fore their the most interesting so that’s way I love them so much.

6.New Takes on Fairytales: I loved fairytales when I was little and now I’ve came to realize that I love it when someone writes about a fairytale but gives it a twist I usually like the ones with a dark twist.

7.Sword Fighting: I really don’t know why but I love to see a good sword fight and I really wouldn’t mind reading about some.

Trends I’d Like to See Less of:

1.Love Triangles: I absolutely hate love triangles because they almost always end up making all characters involved do something really out of character and I almost always end up hating who ever is in the middle of it. I know love triangles won’t go away since there in almost everything but I would be extremely happy if they did disappear.

2. Vampires: There’s just far too much of out right now and after awhile it all kind of seems like the same story.

3. Werewolves: Same thing as I said about vampires.

TV Review: Alphas: Rosetta(1.04)

                                               Alphas: Rosetta(1.04)Review

In this episode we learn about the people who are the ones who sent the ghost after Dr.Rosen during the first episode they are part of a group called Red Flag and the ones we met in this episode were two men who had the ability to manipulate electricity and one who could sense when other alphas are near. Also in the house is an girl named Anna who can understand all languages but can only speak the one she invented and Gary was able to encode it using his alpha abilities and the two of them end up bonding. By the end of the episode we find out that Anna is actually one of the people in charge of the Red Flag operations.

I overall really enjoyed this episode and I was glad they focused on Gary’s character and I feel that I can understand his character a bit better. I also liked that we got to learn we sent the ghost from the first episode and I’m interested in learning more about the whole Red Flag operation. Please tell me your thoughts on th episode.
