Top 10 Books I Read in 2019

1. The Gentleman's Guide to Vice and Virtue: This book is a historical adventure novel that is also a really good coming of age story in great character introspection and relationships that develop wonderfully as well. This book is the one that surprised me the most and I love it all the more for it.
2. Archenemies: This book is the second book in the Renegades series and it does great job expanding the story and the world of the first book. I continued to love the characters and I loved the main romance as well even if it wasn't the main focus of the story.
3. The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo: This book is one that focused on the life of a very complicated character that I didn't always liked but was always interested in what she was going to do next which is something that I actually quite enjoy in books.
4. Shadow Kiss: This book is the third book of the Vampire Academy series and everything expect the main romance of the series really worked for me in this book. This book had a bit more of a stronger plot than the previous books in the series and I liked how this book expanded upon the world's mythology as well as developing the characters and their relationships in this book.
5. The Blood of Olympus: The final book in the Heroes of Olympus reminded me once again why I love the world that these stories are told in and assured me that I still love this characters and that I want to follow the next spin off series as well.
6. Fallout: This book is the last book of the Crank series and set almost twenty years after the second book and instead deals with Kristina's children and shows how they turn out after having Kristina for their biological mother and not really being a part of their lives. This book is once again told through poetry like most Ellen Hopkins books are.
7. The Luxe: This book is the first in a series of books that deals with the life of wealthy New Yorkers in the late 1800s and I find that enjoy reading about their scandalous lives more than I expected that I would.
8. P.S. I Like You: This book is a really sweet love story that has to do with secretly sharing love notes with someone they don't know the identity of.
9. If I Stay: This book is one that is really sad but one that also really does a good job at keeping your attention.
10. The Lady's Guide to Petticoats and Piracy: This book is the second book of the series that started with The Gentleman's Guide to Vice and Virtue but this book focus on Felicity that wants to be a doctor in 1700s and how her attempts to become one ends with her getting involved with pirates.

Book Review: Heroes of Olympus: The Blood of Olympus

                                                  The Blood of Olympus Review
The Blood of Olympus is the final book in the Heroes of Olympus series and in this book they are trying to prevent Gaea from rising even though at this point it seems that Gaea awakening is inevitable. On their journey they have to capture Nike the goddess of victory and find the physician's cure which can cure even death which is something they believe that they would need because one of them is prophesied to die in the final battle with Gaea. Leo believes that the one who will die should be him so he comes up with his own schemes on how the final battle should go because he doesn't want his friends to worry about him or put themselves in danger for him.

Through out the book Nico along with Reyna and Coach Hedge is using shadow travel in order to bring the Athena Parthenos  to Camp Half-blood in order to prevent a war from breaking out between the Greek and Roman half bloods. On the journey we get to learn more about both Nico and Reyna with us seeing just how far Nico pushes himself to finish his mission even at the expense of his own well being and that he believes that others don't want him around so he pushes them away. Reyna we learn that her family has a history of being warriors and being supported by Belladonna and how her and her sister ended up on their own and how they got to where they both ended up. Nico and Reyna end up developing a friendship with each other through out the book that I really ended up enjoying as well.

In other plots in this book includes Jason deciding that he will go between the two camps and build shrines to all the minor gods and goddess in hopes of preventing future wars and because he feels like his place is at both camps. Piper also learns to trust her feelings in order to use her powers better as a daughter of Aphrodite and she and Annabeth bound out on a mission together and the two of them become very close friends. Leo is also still making plans to get back to Calypso's island and take her away from there as well.

Overall I really loved this book it was mostly about finding away to stop Gaea because this is the final book of the series but it also allowed plenty of time for character growth as well which I really enjoyed. I especially enjoyed that we got chapters from Nico and Reyna's point of view and we were given more insights into their characters. Please tell me your thoughts on this book or series as a whole in the comment section below.

Top 10 Books I Read in 2017

1. All the Bright Places: This book is one that I thought had a really good writing style and I found myself completely invested in the lives of the two main characters which led me to feel like I just had to know what happens next. I also thought that this book did a good job of dealing with the issues of grief and mental illness without feeling too dark. Overall I just found that this book did a good job of gripping me through out it's story.
2. Cress: This book is the third book of The Lunar Chronicles series and I liked that this book continued the story for all the main characters that we met in previous books but also introduced us to Cress and gave Thorne a lot more focused and development. I liked that there was quite a bit going on in this book but still plenty of time for character and relationship development as well. One of my favorite things about this book was the relationship between Cress and Thorne which is probably my favorite relationship in the series and I really loved seeing their bond develop in this book.
3. Winter: This is the final book in the series and while I did love how so much happened in this book and so many characters stories were covered in this book there were times when I was a little overwhelmed by everything that was happening in this book since this book was by far the most eventful book of this already extremely eventful series. I really love the characters of Winter and I really liked that through her we saw the way the Lunars lived very different because she comes from a very different way of life than all the other characters. I also liked that Cinder and Kai are finally able to share scenes together again in this book since they really haven't been able to since the first book so that was something I really loved about this book.
4. Blue Lilly, Lilly Blue: I really just love the world and the characters that this series has in it so any time that I get to spend in the world and with the characters is something I enjoy reading about. I really like the way that Blue and Gansey's relationship is developing because you can tell how much they are growing to like each other but are still trying not to act on those feelings.
5. Highly Illogical Behavior: I really loved the writing style for this book that made this book a really quick read for me and I like that the plot dealt with a boy that doesn't leave his house because of social anxiety and a girl who wants to cure him so that she could get a scholarship for a good psychology program and I like that there wasn't a love story between them as well.
6. House of Hades: This book is the fourth book in the Heroes of Olympus series and I found this book to be a lot of fun and I feel like we learned new things about the characters and that we got to see new relationships develop and old ones strength in this book.
7. School Spirits: This book is a companion novel to the Hex Hall series and I like that this book deals with a girl who hunts supernatural beings rather than be one because it gives a new perspective to this world and I thought that the characters and writing in this book were good as well.
8. Rumble: This is the book that I'm currently reading and so far it's a really good read, it has Ellen Hopkins fantastic writing and it is dealing with a boy coming to terms with his brother's suicide and has quite a bit to say on religion as well.
9. United We Spy: This book is the final book in the Gallagher Girls series and I thought it was a fitting end of the series in that it dealt with an important spy mission but also Cammie not knowing what she wants to do with her life after graduating, I liked how the series ended with both the spy stuff and the relatable teen stuff because these two things coming together is what made the series what it was.
10. All Fall Down: This book is the first book in the Embassy Row series and I think that this book was a good introduction to the world and characters that this series will focus on and I think that this book did a good job telling it's story but also leaving room open for the next book in the series.

Book Review: Heroes of Olympus: House of Hades

Heroes of Olympus: House of Hades Review
This book starts shortly after the last one ended with Percy and Annabeth falling through the Tartarus and with Jason, Leo, Piper, Hazel, Frank and Nico heading towards the doors of death in hopes that Percy and Annabeth will survive the Tartarus and that they will be able to close the doors. Since the Tartatus is the place where monsters are reformed it is a place that no mortal should be able to survive so through out the book Percy and Annabeth must do their best survive a place that was not meant for their kind and one where the monsters can't really die. The situation that Percy and Annabeth faced is one that often felt hopeless to them and without their determination to see the other survive they very easily could have given up on any hopes of making it through.

The rest of the group are having trouble getting to the doors of death because of the usually monsters trying to kill them and such things and I felt like although that group had a clear goal they're wasn't just one or two clear plot lines we followed but rather a lot of smaller ones. One of the plots is that Hazel must learn to manipulate the mist in order to defeat someone who is guarding the doors of death, another plot is Frank having to fully embrace that he is a son of Mars in order to protect his friends, there's also Piper having to use her wits in order to defeat Khione and the Boreads all by herself, Leo getting sent to Calypso island and promising that he will one day come back for her, Jason finally deciding whether he feels like he belongs more with the Roman or the Greek camp and we even learn more about how Nico really thinks about Percy.

Overall I thought that this was a great book with great characters and felt like all of the characters learned something along the way of completing their adventures which is always a good thing when it comes to storytelling. I continue to love pretty much everything about this series, I love the way it's written, the stories that are being told, the characters and the relationships that they have with each other. Please tell me your thoughts on this book in the comments.

Book Review: Heroes of Olympus: The Mark of Athena

Heroes of Olympus: The Mark of Athena Review
The Mark of Athena starts off pretty much where the last book ended with Annabeth, Jason, Piper and Leo arriving at Camp Jupiter in their warship with the Romans being ready to attack it. The group from Camp Half Blood are met with suspicion but it looks like an alliance could be formed between the two groups. It's agreed that Annabeth, Percy, Jason, Piper, Hazel, Leo and Frank will be the seven who go on the quest to Rome in order to defeat the giants and keep Gaea from raising. Leo ends up becoming possessed and then fires on Camp Jupiter which leads to Camp Jupiter declaring war on the seven and Camp Half Blood.

The book mainly deals with the journey to Rome with there being a whole of monsters to defeat along the way and there is a team being formed along the way since not everyone knows each other all that well at this point. It is revealed fairly early on that Nico Di Angelo who is Hazel's brother has been captured by twin giants and only has a few days left to live which is something that gives an even bigger sense of urgency when it comes to getting to Rome quickly.

It's revealed that Annabeth will have to go on a quest of her own to save the mark of Athena once she gets to Rome and that her succeeding will lead to the Romans and the Greeks being able to work together but her failing will lead to her death. It's also made clear from pretty early on that Annabeth must go through with this quest alone.

Also in the book there is a subplot about how Leo looks just like his grandfather Sammy who Hazel was very close to in her first life and this leads to the two of them bonding a bit and a bit of tension between Leo and Frank. There's also plenty of romantic moments between Piper and Jason as well as Percy and Annabeth throughout the book that still fit with the overall plot rather than taking away from it.

Overall I loved this book I found it just as fun and action packed as the other books in this series. I found the characters to be enjoyable as always and I found many parts of the book to be funny as well. Please tell me your thoughts on this book or the series as a whole in the comment section below.

Top 10 Books on my Fall 2014 to be read list

1. Sinner: This book is the sort of fourth book of the Wolves of Mercy Falls series and it deals with wrapping up Cole and Isabel's story and since I love that series and both of these characters I'm very excited to read this book.
2. Crank: I love Ellen Hopkins books and this is her most well known one so I think that it would be for the best if I read it.
3. The Mark of Athena: I loved the first two books of the Heroes of Olympus series and I'm sure I'll love this one as well and I've been meaning to read it for awhile anyways.
4. Paper Towns: I've read three books I've read by John Green so far and I have no reason to believe that I wouldn't love this one as well.
5. Dime Store Magic: I love Kelly Armstrong's The Darkest Powers series and this book sounds interesting as well and I hope that I love it just as much.
6. Also Known As: I hear that this book is sort of similar to the Gallagher Girls series which I love and I will be finished with fairly soon so I think this will help fill the void.
7. Triangles: Another Ellen Hopkins novel and this one is related to the book Tilt which I loved.
8. Splintered: This book sounds like an interesting retelling of the Alice in Wonderland story and since I already own this book I think that this is a good book to read soon.
9. The Scorch Trails: I liked the first book of the Maze Runner series and I think that I'll like this one as well.
10. The Sound and the Fury: So on a blog that I visited someone said that a character whom I love life is like a fanfiction of The Sound and the Fury, my first thought was that's bond to be a depressing book and my second thought was I have no idea what that is so I have to look that up and I did. Anyways the reference sort of makes sense to me now and I really really want to read this book because it sounds super interesting as well as very challenging so this book is on this list but I also know that I won't actually read this book this fall.

Top 10 Series about Friendship

1. Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Percy Jackson series is one that I feel is filled with a ton of different friendships that all add something different to the series. There's the friendship between Percy and Grover which is the one that I think is closest to the typical best friend relationship with how it's the first one we see and is one of Percy's closest friendships that spans through the whole series. There's the friends to lovers one between Percy and Annabeth and there's the one that starts off pretty rough between Percy and Nico that eventually turns out okay. There's a ton of other ones as well and their all pretty well developed even the ones that we are just shown little bits of in the background of the story. I also feel like friendship was also important for the characters being able to be successful in their quests and that without friendship a lot more people would of died.
2. Heroes of Olympus: Being the sequel series to Percy Jackson and the Olympians it comes as no surprise that friendship is once again and important and necessary part in being able to complete and survive the quest in this series. I love the friendships in this series as well just as I did in the first series.
3. Harry Potter: It's been awhile since I've read Harry Potter but I know that the most important relationship in the series has always been the friendship between Harry, Ron and Hermione. Their friendship is the relationship the entire series is built on and since they all have different abilities they are all able to contribute something in how to defeat whatever evil is afoot this year at Hogwarts.
4. Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants: Been awhile since I read this series but I remember the four girls having an extremely close life long friendship that I was always jealous of. I also loved that all four of the girls had such different personalities but ended up getting along and understanding each other as well as they did.
5. Magic Knight Rayearth: I really love the friendship that developed between Hikaru, Umi and Fuu almost right away and I loved how even though they didn't really know each other for very long they started to think of each other as sisters and that they would never betray either of the other two girls for personal gain and that they would die for each other. I really love the girls delightful friendship that developed quickly but had a long lasting impact on all three of the girls.
6. Gallagher Girls: I really love the friendship between the four girls I love how they work together and I love how they're there for each other through bad times and good times. I also just really love that the girls seem like a fun group to be around even in dire circumstances.
7. Uglies: I feel like the friendship between Tally and Shay drives the plot of the Uglies series and I also find it to be a very interesting relationship. Tally and Shay's friendship is a very dysfunctional one that probably isn't healthy considering that the stab each other in the back all the time and the go from loving to hating each other at least once a book but if their friendship didn't exist there wouldn't be a story to tell and their friendship makes the story way more interesting than if one of the romances was the  driving relationship of the series.
8. Teen Wolf: I am now going into the TV section of the list because I adore friendships in all mediums. The most important relationship of the show in my opinion is that of the friendship between Scott and Stiles while it doesn't always drive the plot there always there for each other no matter what the other one is going through and seem to be willing to face anything as long as the other is by their side. I love the friendship between Scott and Stiles because I love both of them as characters and I love the way they interact with each other since it's always entertaining to watch but most of all I love how much they love each other and don't seem to want live in a world were the other one isn't in it. I also love the friendships between Alison and Lydia, and Scott and Isaac that are also a part of the show although not given the same amount of importance as Scott and Stiles friendship.
9. Psych:  I just really love the friendship between Shawn and Gus and I feel like it's the relationship that gets the most screen time on the show which is something that I am more than okay with since I love to see those two.
10. Revenge:  Now while this show clearly isn't about friendship(it's about vengeance obviously) I feel that the emotional heart of the show is the friendship between Emily and Nolan. This friendship is at the beginning the only time that we are able to see Emily being her true self which of course puts a great deal of importance on the relationship but it's the way that it developed from Nolan being Emily's ally that she doesn't really want but reluctantly admits that she needs to being the partner she never expected that she would have. This friendship is by far the most well developed relationship on the show and it's the one relationship that is based on trust rather than deception on the show which is a big part of why it's the heart of the show that would otherwise be heartless. It's also worth noting that when the writers neglect this relationship the show doesn't really pull you in emotionally nearly as much as it should.

Top 10 Sequels

1. Linger: This is a book that spoke to me in a way that I don't think most think of this series as being capable of doing this probably one of my all time favorite books now in fact if you look at my Top 10 Book Moments list you'll see it appears a lot. Most people right this book off as another paranormal romance when the main characters obsess about their love for one another and while that does happen a bit I think if that's all you get out of the book your missing out on a really great story. When I think of this book the first thing I think of is how it's kind of set after happily ever after with how Sam adjust to the idea that he now gets to always stay in his human skin and I really love that we got to see him process his feelings about this and I also love that we saw more of his past as well because the young odd fragile Sam is probably my favorite Sam. I also really loved the character Cole St.Clair who's is that asshole bad boy who is really hot but in the end isn't worth the tears you cry over him and I love that Cole hates himself for being that guy but doesn't seem to be able to stop so he's just became a self-destructive mess in order to escape himself. I really enjoy the relationship that Sam and Cole have in this book because they're so different in personality and life views that they don't really get along although Sam always tries to be polite which only serves to make Cole more eager to get under his skin. I also really love the relationship Cole and Isabel have where Isabel is looking for a way to self-destructive since she feels guilty for the role she played in her brother's death and Cole couldn't be a more destructive force and I kind of love the unhealthiness of their relationship with how she actually resents him for starting to pull himself together before she could. Overall I love this book for really all the little characters moments.
2. The Battle of the Labyrinth: This is my favorite book of the series I just love seeing all of the characters we met over the course of the series storylines coming together within the labyrinth. This is also the book that made the threat of Kronos something that couldn't be prevented anymore which in turn made the series have a bit of a dark feel to it. I just really loved all the interconnected storylines with the quest, the thing with Nico, Grover finally finding Pan and of course Kronos finally becoming a real threat rather than just a prophecy. I also loved just seeing all the characters and their relationships.
3. The Awakening: This book is one that I loved because the action never really felt like it stopped and when it did it was about developing characters or abilities so I was never bored with the book. I felt like this book moved fast and that a lot happen and that really worked for me.
4. The Son of Neptune: I just really loved all three of our narrators and I loved learning Hazel and Frank's backstories and I liked seeing a relationship develop between them as well. I also really loved seeing Percy as well considering he's one of my all time favorite characters and I just really loved the whole story.
5. Perfect Scoundrels: I really love this book because of how well it handled Kat and Hale's relationship I loved how this book gave them relationship problems that came completely from them with how the conflict was that they come from two different worlds and while Hale is part of Kat's now that doesn't mean that he'll always want to be a part of it. I also love how this story also gives us a lot of background information on Hale as well.
6. Only the Good Spy Young: This book is one that had a lot of plot twist that both shocked me but at the same time made sense and learning about them I felt the same way in which the characters did which is always a good thing because you never want to be frustrated by a characters stupidity.
7.Cross my Heart Hope to Spy: This book is the one that I think really made the series have more of an ongoing storyline to it with introducing the mysterious Blackthrone boys and the start of Cammie and Zach's relationship. This book I would say was slightly darker than the first but still pretty light and fun also there was an espionage ball which is my favorite thing this series ever done.
8. The Titan's Curse: I really loved this book because I enjoyed the overall story of it and I really love the character of Zoe Nightshade who only appeared in this book but made a big impression on me. I also liked getting to know Thalia better and this is the book that introduced two of my favorite characters of the whole series Nico Di Angelo and Rachel Elizabeth Dare. Overall I just really loved this book.
9. A Clash of Kings: This one probably should be higher up on the list since it's great but I've been reading it for over a year now, I'm stuck on a Jon and Theon chapters right in a row and I'm not really a big fan of reading their point of views so I read other things instead. I feel I should mention I am update with the show which I'm also loving and I still do intend to read all the books it's just going to take me awhile to finish this one. I really love the book because well Sansa point of view chapters are my favorite because she's a favorite character of mine and her journey is more of an internal one since she can't speak her true opinion it works better in book form and it seems like quite a bit of her story was cut out of the show. I'm also really loving Bran's storyline in the book and I'm pretty sure they cut a ton out of his storyline in the show since Jojen and Meera Reed arrive much earlier and there's much more about important people staying in Winterfell.
10. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban: It's been a long time since I've read this book but I remember loving it and I remember being mad that the movie didn't follow the book closer although I still enjoyed the movie.

Top 10 Books on my Fall To be Read list 2013

1. Forever: I loved the first two books of the Wolves of Mercy Falls series especially the second one so I'm really looking forward to seeing how the series ends although I'm pretty sure I'm not going to like how it ends because I have stumbled on to some spoilers that makes it sounds like the one thing that I absolutely did not want to happen to Sam does but I'm sure even if I'm right about that I'll still enjoy the characters and their relationships so that means all overall enjoy the book.
2. The Reckoning: I've loved the first two books of the series and I'm really looking forward to seeing how the series ends.
3. The Mark of Athena: I loved all the books that came before this one and I love all the characters and I'm excited to see on what adventures they go on next.
4. Manic Pixie Dreamgirl: This book sounds like it would be really interesting with how it seems to be about deconstructing the manic pixie dreamgirl trope which is a favorite of mine and it also sounds like the main character is the type I tend to like. Also the passage on the back cover totally sucked me in.
5. The Maze Runner: The movie is going to be released in February and since I'm a big fan of three of the cast members I feel I need to read the book before that and also the books sounds pretty interesting.
6. Demonglass: I loved the first Hex Hall book and I would love to be able to read the second book of the series soon.
7. Catching Fire: This book is one I feel more like I need to read then I want to read because while I liked the first book it did really make feel all that attached to the characters or care as much as I should have and in all honesty I'm more than willing to just watch the movie because like half the reason this book is on this list is because I really love Jena Malone and I'm excited to see her act again and well that's a pretty crap reason to read a book so don't except a review anytime soon.
8. Crank: I love Ellen Hopkins books and this is her most well known one which ironically is one of the few that I haven't read yet. I love Ellen Hopkins writing style and the story sounds like an interesting one.
9. If I Stay: I've heard a lot of great things about this book and I own it so I feel like I should read this one.
10. Adam and Eve: When this book first came out I thought it didn't sound that interesting but after reading the TV Tropes page on it, it actually sounds really interesting and like a type of book that I would really enjoy.

On a completely unrelated note I'm writing this post about comparing the show Teen Wolf to paranormal YA and I was wondering if any of you guys would be interested in reading it since it's going to be fairly long post I'm not sure I want to put the effort into if no one wants to read it.

Top 10 Books I'd like to see as movie or tv shows

1. Gallagher Girls: I love this series and I want it to be a TV show that airs on USA network who yes probably wouldn't pick this show up but I think that they would remain pretty faithful to the books and the seasons on that network tend to 14 to 16 episodes long only rather than 22 which I think would be good for this series in the long run with there  being less filler episode needing to be made.
2. Heist Society: I love this series and  I would really love if it was a TV show of USA network but kind of doubt that is where it would air if it was ever made but their weirdly the only ones I trust to not entirely change the series and I like that their season are shorter and they already air my other favorite con-artist series White Collar so I think it's a good fit.
3. Impulse: This is one of my favorite books of all time and I have always loved the idea of this book being made into an indie film and I really wished that it would happen someday.
4. Cinder: I really love this book and I would love to see it brought to life because it sound like it would be great visually and I would love to see a western made movie with an all Asian cast which would be require for this movie.
5. The Battle of the Labyrinth: This is my favorite book of the Percy Jackson series and I would love to see it brought to the big screen although I doubt that it will ever happen and even if it does it will probably suck but in a perfect world it would follow the books the actors would be good and the characters would have their book personalities.
6. Reading in the Dark:  This is one of my favorite books but not to many people seem to have read this book which means that it becoming a film isn't likely but it also means that if it's ever adapted for a film it will because the filmmakers loved the book not to make a quick buck which is the upside for not being well known. This story is one that has a lot of tension in it and there are many moments in the book where there are just moments where characters exchanges looks which communicate everything but a word is never spoken between them which means that the acting in this film would be amazing. I really just want this made into a film so I could see amazing acting because I love really good acting more than almost anything and I love that there would be so many scenes in this film that would require it so I would love to watch ever look that is exchange and see how much the actors could convey with just their eyes.
7. Wolves of Mercy Falls series: I love this series a lot and there are so many moments that I feel I need to be brought to life especially since there are some scenes that I can visualize so well. I would love to have this series brought to life because I feel that the acting in the films would fantastic because I feel that it would need to be because the characters have a lot of internal conflict which means that there needs to be good and subtle acting for that to come across, which make me very happy because I there are few things I love as much as great acting. But I also don't want this to be made into a movie because I feel like the movie would never be good enough to match the one in my head and no one would bother to care about the acting because they see the series as just a way to make money and it would taint the series for me so a big part of me also doesn't this series brought to life as well.
8. Heroes of Olympus series: I really love this series and I would love to see it brought to life and I would see what all the characters look like and all the monsters. I think that this movie series would require good young actors which is one of my favorite things so I would love to see that and I also think that all the action adventure stuff would draw in a large audience so it would be good for whatever studio made it as well. Also I would just love to be able to talk to my sisters who don't read about this series because I'm sure that they would love it and I would love to have someone to talk to it about but I'm almost 100 % sure this series will never be made into a movie series.
9. The Darkest Powers series: I just really love this series and I feel like it isn't well known enough so I feel like movies being made would give the series recognition that it deserves and it would be cool to see some of those powers in action.
10. The Looking Glass Wars: I think that this series would be great if made into movies because it's world is described very vividly and I would love to see that brought to life. I also love how well thought out the main characters are and I would love to have the chance to see how they look and see how they interact with each other. Also since the story covers many characters stories it does actually lends itself really well to film because films often show main characters storylines rather than being stuck in one characters point of view.

6. Manic Pixie Dreamgirl: I've just bought this book after reading what it was about in the book store it sounded exactly like the kind of book I would love so I'm really excited to read this one. I haven't heard anyone else mention anything about this book so I'll be going into it pretty much blind so that's something I find really cool as well.
7. Forever: I loved the first two books of the Wolves of Mercy Falls series and I love all of the many characters so I'm excited and a little nervous about seeing how their stories are going to end. I own this book already which is good because that means I can start it at anytime I want to. I really hope that the last book is as good as Linger which is my favorite book in the series so far which I hear isn't exactly a popular opinion but I really enjoyed the way the characters were handled in it so I hope that continues in the last book.
8. If I Stay: I hear great things about this book and it's been on my to be read list for awhile now and I hear it's sad and sometimes I really enjoy crying about books or fiction in general. I own this book already but I'm not exactly excited about reading it but I have a feeling that I'll end up enjoying it.
9. Demonglass: I loved Hex Hall so much and the end had a good number of twists to it so I'm really looking forward to the next book of the series. The only reason this book is so far down on the list is because I don't actually own the book yet.
10. Catching Fire: I feel that I need to read the book before I see the movie and since Jena Malone is in the movie I'm actually looking forward to movie since she's one of my favorite actresses but I'm not exactly look forward to the book because while I liked the Hunger Games I didn't love it and I don't feel the need to go back to that world and spend more time with the characters.

Top 10 Books that Involve travel

8. The Fault in our Stars: I really overall loved this book and at one point in the book Hazel and Augustus travel to Amsterdam so it counts as a travel book as well.
9. The Awakening: The second book of The Darkest Powers series is technically a book that involves travel but really it seems a lot more like being on the lamb with the whole having to make sure no one recognizes you and the whole reason for the journey is to get away from some people but being on the lamb is a form of travel so it counts.
10. The Kane Chronicles: This series is much like Rick Riordan's other books where their a certain quest the characters go on and therefore they need to travel all over the place, I've only read the first book so far but I loved it.

Fangirl Friday 25

Fangirl five Friday is a weekly meme host Nancy Drew is my Homegirl and what it's meme that has you list the top five things you've been fangirling about this week.
1. Doctor Who: I watched the Christmas special this week and it was an amazing episode that was a sort of introduction or re-introduction of the next companion Clara Oswin Oswald who I love already she has to fun flirty and adventurous way about her that just makes me complete love her. It was also nice to see how the Doctor was coping with loosing the Ponds and it seems it wasn't very well since he gave up on finding anyone or really helping anyone out anymore which of course doesn't last long for the Doctor because he just can't help but to get intrigued by someone or something. I also found the talking Snow to be quite interesting and at times a bit frightening. I'm really interested to learn what Clara Oswin Oswald's story is because so far we met her twice and she died both times and she lived in both the past and the future so I'm extremely excited for the second half of series 7.
2. Elementary: I started watching Elementary this week and I find the series to be very entertaining and fun to watch. I love both the characters of Sherlock and Joan and I the relationship they have with each other. I also find the cases to be very interesting to watch because things don't go the way I'd expect them to go.
3. Heroes of Olympus: I finished reading The Son of Neptune this week and it was great ending to a great book that had an interesting plot and very lovable characters.

Book Review: Heroes of Olympus: The Son of Neptune

Heroes of Olympus: The Son of Neptune Review
The second book of the Heroes of Olympus series deals with the camp of Roman half-bloods that was mentioned in the first book and it has been about eight months since the first book. At the beginning of this book we learn that Percy Jackson has lost all of his memories and he then enters the Roman camp, Camp Jupiter. Soon after arriving at Camp Jupiter Percy along with Hazel Levesque daughter of Pluto(Roman version of Hades) and Frank Zhang son of Mars(Roman version of Ares) to set free death from the chains he's tied down to in Alaska, which is the land beyond the gods, and defeat the giant Alcyoneus.

Percy is my favorite character in both the Percy Jackson and the Olympian series and the Heroes of Olympus series and has been since The Lightening Thief. In this book Percy has lost all of his memories except a little bit about Annabeth which I thought was very sweet and romantic that the little that he could remember was of her. Percy is still the brave, sarcastic and all around good friend that I remembered from the first series. I loved the friendships he develops with Hazel and Frank through out their quest and I liked all of the small reference to the first series that come up once he starts remembering things. I find it interesting that Reyna, a praetor of the Twelfth Legion at Camp Jupiter and her sister Hylla, Queen of the Amazons, have sort of met Percy during The Sea of Monsters. I'm a bit worried about Percy during the rest of this series because his fatal flaw of not being to not save his love ones has come up again and since he survived the first series without this being a problem I doubt he'll be lucky enough to survive this one as well.

Hazel is the daughter of Pluto and because of this and a wish her mother made long ago, she is cursed with the ability to bring up precious metals and gems from the earth but if anyone other than her picks up these metals and gems they will be cursed with bad lucky. Hazel is also unlucky enough to have died back in 1942 when after she was tricked into raising the giant Alcyoneus she than dies while insuring that Alcyoneus won't be able to rise for many years to come. Hazel has recently been brought back to life after death had gone missing and her half brother Nico Di Angelo(another one of my favorite characters from the first series) rescues her from the underworld when he couldn't find his sister Bianca. I feel bad for Hazel through out most of the book because she's constantly worrying that once they rescue Death that she might be sent back to the underworld and that she feels guilty for helping build Alcyonues and that she couldn't save her mother from Gaea's influences. I really love Hazel she's a very sweet character with sad past, an unfortunate curse and a love for horses such as Arion, who is the fastest horse in the world and was kept by the Amazons for years and it was said that only a great warrior could tame Arion and Hazel is that great warrior.

Frank is a guy that is rather clumsy and doesn't really feel comfortable in his own skin at the beginning of this book and he was not happy that his father is the god of war since Frank dislikes wars since his mother was killed fighting in one. I liked how Frank is different from what one would think a child of Mars should be like that he doesn't want to fight but he will because it's his duty and he has to do his part in protecting the people and things he cares about. I also love that one of his talents is to be able to think tactical because planning and tactics are often just as important if not even more important than the actual battles in a war. I also find his family gift of being able to turn himself into any kind of animal to be very interesting and useful. I thought that it was strange and scary for Frank to have his life be controlled by a piece of driftwood. I loved Frank as a character because he had a good heart, was a bit awkward and he develops into a good hero as the quest goes on.

I really loved seeing how different the Roman camp was to the Greek one, with the Roman one seeming more military like than camp like and it seemed that people were generally more serious. I really loved the relationship that developed between Frank and Hazel through out the book, I think there very sweet together. I really loved the character Ella the Harpy with how she seemed a bit crazy and also very knowledgeable about a lot of things.

I overall loved this book and I can't wait to read the next book in the series because it will have all of the characters from the first two books working together in that one. Please tell me your thoughts about this book or the series in general.

Top 10 Books I read in 2012

1. Game of Thrones: I love this book because of the world that it creates and I love how real and detailed that world is. I love that there are so many narrators in the book and that they all bring something different to the story, my favorite characters are Daenerys, Sansa and Tyrion. I love the plot with all the medieval politics which is a deadly game that almost every character is a part of whether they want to be or not.
2. Perfect: I love this book because it deals with four teenagers different ideas of what it means to be perfect and than shows how willing they are to achieve this perfection. I also love that it's a companion novel to Impulse one of my all time favorite books and I love the verse that Ellen Hopkins tells this story in. I love that this book was told from four different characters point of view as well.
3. Tokyo Babylon volume 7: I love this book because it pretty much broke my heart the entire time I was reading this book and for quite sometime afterwards as well, I just love it when a book can give me this strong of an emotional reactions. I love this series and all three of the main characters so it made me really sad to loose one and have another one be completely broken at the end of the series but I think this whole volume was brilliantly written and this was how the series had to end.
4.The Son of Neptune: I love this book because it's another adventure story by Rick Riordan that deals with demigods and I love that Percy Jackson(one of my favorite book characters of all time) is back in this book and once again a narrator. I love seeing how different the Roman camp was from the Greek one and I loved meeting new characters and go on a new adventure, I also love how the humor is still a big part of the book.
5. Tricks: Another lovely book by Ellen Hopkins this time it has to do with a bunch of different young people who end up selling themselves in order to survive. I love this book because it had a wide variety of characters who all made different choices but ended up in similar situations which I found to be very interesting. I loved reading about this characters even though they've all make huge mistakes through out the book they're still very interesting characters to read about.
6. Thirteen Reasons Why: I love this book because of how it explains why Hannah would commit suicide but at the same time it also shows how someone's suicide effects the people the person left behind deals with the aftermath. I also find it sad and interesting that it wasn't one big thing but a bunch of little things that led to Hannah's decision.
7. The Lost Hero: I love this book because it has an interesting plot, I love all three of these new main characters and I loved seeing some of my old favorite characters from the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series as well. I loved learning more about the mythology of this world, learning more about the new prophecy and I was really invested in the relationship between Jason and Piper as well.
8. The Awakening: The second book in the Darkest Powers series is much better than the first in my opinion because I feel like the book had a good pace this time I found that the plot moved pretty fast at the beginning and the end of the book and I loved that when the plot slowed down in the middle of the book it was in order to develop characters, relationships or powers.
9. Linger:I really loved this book because I loved all of the characters and I loved their different stories they had in this book. I also love that this book introduced the character Cole who is extremely interesting and a great contrast to Sam who is still my favorite character. I also loved that Isabel was a narrator in this book because I always found her character interesting but now I love her even more. I also love the new developments in the mythology of the series as well.
10. Hex Hall: I love this fun tale of a witch at boarding school and I love all the twists that happen towards the end of the book. I also love Sophie's friendship with Jenna and Sophie relationship with Archer as well.
