Top 10 Series about Friendship

1. Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Percy Jackson series is one that I feel is filled with a ton of different friendships that all add something different to the series. There's the friendship between Percy and Grover which is the one that I think is closest to the typical best friend relationship with how it's the first one we see and is one of Percy's closest friendships that spans through the whole series. There's the friends to lovers one between Percy and Annabeth and there's the one that starts off pretty rough between Percy and Nico that eventually turns out okay. There's a ton of other ones as well and their all pretty well developed even the ones that we are just shown little bits of in the background of the story. I also feel like friendship was also important for the characters being able to be successful in their quests and that without friendship a lot more people would of died.
2. Heroes of Olympus: Being the sequel series to Percy Jackson and the Olympians it comes as no surprise that friendship is once again and important and necessary part in being able to complete and survive the quest in this series. I love the friendships in this series as well just as I did in the first series.
3. Harry Potter: It's been awhile since I've read Harry Potter but I know that the most important relationship in the series has always been the friendship between Harry, Ron and Hermione. Their friendship is the relationship the entire series is built on and since they all have different abilities they are all able to contribute something in how to defeat whatever evil is afoot this year at Hogwarts.
4. Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants: Been awhile since I read this series but I remember the four girls having an extremely close life long friendship that I was always jealous of. I also loved that all four of the girls had such different personalities but ended up getting along and understanding each other as well as they did.
5. Magic Knight Rayearth: I really love the friendship that developed between Hikaru, Umi and Fuu almost right away and I loved how even though they didn't really know each other for very long they started to think of each other as sisters and that they would never betray either of the other two girls for personal gain and that they would die for each other. I really love the girls delightful friendship that developed quickly but had a long lasting impact on all three of the girls.
6. Gallagher Girls: I really love the friendship between the four girls I love how they work together and I love how they're there for each other through bad times and good times. I also just really love that the girls seem like a fun group to be around even in dire circumstances.
7. Uglies: I feel like the friendship between Tally and Shay drives the plot of the Uglies series and I also find it to be a very interesting relationship. Tally and Shay's friendship is a very dysfunctional one that probably isn't healthy considering that the stab each other in the back all the time and the go from loving to hating each other at least once a book but if their friendship didn't exist there wouldn't be a story to tell and their friendship makes the story way more interesting than if one of the romances was the  driving relationship of the series.
8. Teen Wolf: I am now going into the TV section of the list because I adore friendships in all mediums. The most important relationship of the show in my opinion is that of the friendship between Scott and Stiles while it doesn't always drive the plot there always there for each other no matter what the other one is going through and seem to be willing to face anything as long as the other is by their side. I love the friendship between Scott and Stiles because I love both of them as characters and I love the way they interact with each other since it's always entertaining to watch but most of all I love how much they love each other and don't seem to want live in a world were the other one isn't in it. I also love the friendships between Alison and Lydia, and Scott and Isaac that are also a part of the show although not given the same amount of importance as Scott and Stiles friendship.
9. Psych:  I just really love the friendship between Shawn and Gus and I feel like it's the relationship that gets the most screen time on the show which is something that I am more than okay with since I love to see those two.
10. Revenge:  Now while this show clearly isn't about friendship(it's about vengeance obviously) I feel that the emotional heart of the show is the friendship between Emily and Nolan. This friendship is at the beginning the only time that we are able to see Emily being her true self which of course puts a great deal of importance on the relationship but it's the way that it developed from Nolan being Emily's ally that she doesn't really want but reluctantly admits that she needs to being the partner she never expected that she would have. This friendship is by far the most well developed relationship on the show and it's the one relationship that is based on trust rather than deception on the show which is a big part of why it's the heart of the show that would otherwise be heartless. It's also worth noting that when the writers neglect this relationship the show doesn't really pull you in emotionally nearly as much as it should.

Top 5 Thursday: Top 5 Male Friendships in Fiction

Top 5 Thursday is a meme that I create to make lists of things involving tv and movies. I would love for anyone that sees this post to make list of their own whether it's in the comment section or on their own blog.
I actually made a list of my top 5 female friendships a couple months ago so I figured it'd be a good idea to make one for male friendships as well. Also since people tend to be more into guys friendship for some reason I figured it'd be a good topic for this list but if you want to write a list on female friendship instead as a response to this post that would be great as well really hope that someone responds to one of these posts.
1. Seth and Ryan(The OC): With this one I don't think I have that much of a deep meaningful reason why their my favorite I just really love every single scene that they have together and those scenes tend to be my favorite in each episode. I love that even though one the surface the two of them are really different they seemed to just work together really well and I loved that they formed a friendship right away and through out the whole series they never had a fight that lasted long which is something that I really enjoy because a lot of series in genre of show likes to not value friendships but that's never been a problem with this show in general. I also really love that even though this show dealt a lot with relationship drama that it was also clear that show always found Seth and Ryan's relationship just as if not more important then the romantic ones but mostly I love these two because they made the show for me.
2. Scott and Stiles(Teen Wolf):These two are pretty much the reason that I was able to watch past the first couple episodes of the series back when it wasn't all that good and I questioned why I was watching it but within the first couple of scenes I found my answer: Scott and Stiles friendship. I love that these dorks wonder into the woods in the middle of the night to find a dead body and I love that Scott didn't even seem to be into this idea but went simple because Stiles asked him to and I love that Stiles dad assumed that wherever Stiles was Scott was close by and love that Stiles figured out that Scott was a werewolf before he did and I love that abandoning Scott never even crossed Stiles mind even though he had just became a dangerous creature. I love that these two always seem to be there for each other and I love that they have been best friends for pretty much their whole lives and I love that even through all the changes that happen through out the series they still always have each other. I love that their friendship obviously means the world to both of them with how Stiles would rather die than live in world without Scott and how Stiles was able to take Scott out of committing suicide by telling him he'd have to take him with him. I just really love these two from the start and my love for this friendship only seems to grow.
3. Corey and Shawn(Boy Meets World): I haven't watched Boy Meets World in awhile but I remember how good of friends Corey and Shawn were I remember them being there for each other through good and bad times and I remember them always seeming to want to be at each other's side. I just remembered that these two always had a great friendship and I remember always enjoying.
4. Shawn and Gus(Psych): I just really enjoy these two because they had been friends their whole life and they can both be really ridiculous. I like that even though there are times when they really annoy each other they clear love and care for each other also I love that they mentioned before they have a plan to live next door to each other and share a pool someday.
5. Yuki and Kakeru(Fruits Basket): I just really loved their friendship because Kakeru was the first person who was an outsider that didn't know about the curse that Yuki really became close to which was something that he'd been struggling with his whole life. I also just really love their dynamic together and I love that Yuki felt he could somewhat confide in Kakeru even though he never told him anything about the curse. I just really enjoyed both characters and their relationship.

Top 5Thursday: Top 5 Procedurals shows

Top 5 Thursday is a meme that I create to make lists of things involving tv and movies. I would love for anyone that sees this post to make list of their own whether it's in the comment section or on their own blog.
There's a lot of shows out there that are procedurals shows but while most of them are good for a causal viewer few actually become shows in which the audience actually cares about the characters solving the crimes so this list is about the procedurals shows that I feel are worth watching week to week.
1. Psych: This is a show about a guy who pretends to be psych and him along with his best friend solves crimes and it's actually a really funny show. I love this show because it's really very funny and I love all the characters who are so well defined and in all honesty the show is more about the characters then the crimes they solve. This show is lots of fun and there are quite a few episodes were they take a concept and run with it which makes those episodes especially entertaining.
2. White Collar: This is a show about a charming con-artist who works with the FBI as part of an agreement that allows him to stay out of prison. This show is one that I just love a lot because really love the characters and I really enjoy the cases as well that usually end up involving some kind of con and since I love anything involving con-artist I really love this show. Also each season as an over arching plot as well as cases of the week and I find both parts of the show enjoyable.
3. Elementary: This was pretty much my favorite new show of the year and I love it so much because it does such a good job of having character drama and development mixed in with the mystery of the week which are usually really fascinating as well. I really loved seeing how the relationship between Joan and Sherlock developed over the course of the season and how they both developed as characters as well. I liked that even though most crimes were solved by the end of the episode there was also the Moriarty plot and I really loved the twist they made in that plot as well.
4. Grimm: This one it is quite different then the other shows on the list since it combines crime solving and fairytale creatures but I think that the show does this pretty well and I really enjoy seeing the two aspects come together. This show is also quite different because since there's a fantasy element to the series there are some episodes that don't feel like a procedural at all because there also more arc base episodes that deal more with the mythology of the series then any type of crime. I also really like that this series is still fairly character driven as well.
5. Criminal Minds: This is the show that I watch the least on this list but it's not because I don't love it but because this show has been going on for quite a long time now and I haven't been following it since the beginning so I don't watch as much. This show always has really interesting cases and I especially love how the use of profiling works in the series with the team always basically psychoanalyzing the criminal of the week. I also think this show does a good job of letting the audience get to know the main characters without taking away from the case of the week which is a problem with shows like this one usually have.

Fangirl Friday 37

Fangirl five Friday is a weekly meme host Nancy Drew is my Homegirl and what it's meme that has you list the top five things you've been fangirling about this week.

1. Teen Wolf: I've been trying to get myself caught up with season 3 of Teen Wolf this week and I almost got myself caught up with only one more new episode to watch before I'm all caught up. I'm really loving this series I'm interested in the alpha pack and the human sacrifices. I really like how this season seems to be leading towards Scott becoming an alpha because I think that Scott would make a good leader because he always wants to do the right thing and he tends to inspire loyalty. I like seeing how this season Alison seems to be involving herself in the werewolf things because she feels that she should protect her friends or just innocent people in general rather than being forced into the middle of it by her family. I'm enjoying that even though Scott and Alison are broken up still it's also clear that they still care about each other and I'm looking forward to them getting back together. I'm also really enjoy that Lydia is now in the know about the supernatural stuff because it's clear she has some special abilities and I'm looking forward to finding out what they are. I'm also really enjoying that Lydia and Stiles seem to be working together quite a bit this season and I think the two of them work really well together. There's a lot of other things I'm loving about this season as well but I can't seem to think about them at the moment.

2. Nikita: I watched episodes 12-17 of the first season this week and I'm loving this show more and more. I liked episodes 15-17 the best so far. I really loved getting more Alex's backstory and seeing how she use to live before Nikita found her and I also loved seeing that she could be very vengeful and could become a very cold person one day if she's not careful. I also really loved the episode Alex's hallucinated state were it was shown that what Alex fears the most is herself or rather the type of person she could become. I also really enjoyed seeing how scary Amanda could be with how she just wanted to get answers from Alex when she was in her hallucinated state and didn't care at all really about her health and how she recommended Alex for cancellation. The last episode I watched this week dealt a lot with Nikita and Michael's relationship and was a pretty big turning point with him discovering that Alex was working with Nikita and that the guy that killed his family was working for Division and it also seems like they might have started working together at the end of this episode as well as being together.
3. Psych: I watched two new episodes of Psych this week the first one was my favorite and it was about how Gus and Shawn screwed up a crime scene of Gus's boss's murder and I just found it really funny how badly they kept messing up this case and incriminating themselves. The second one was about their favorite radio personality dying and them investigating that it was also pretty funny but nowhere near as good as the first one.

Fangirl Friday 35

Fangirl five Friday is a weekly meme host Nancy Drew is my Homegirl and what it's meme that has you list the top five things you've been fangirling about this week.

1. Game of Thrones: This week's Game of Thrones episode was great once again. I loved the scene between Sansa and Shae where they discuss what Littlefinger wants with Sansa and I loved how Shae said that if Littlefinger tries to touch Sansa that she would make sure that he stops. I loved the scenes between Sansa, Margery, and Olenna Tryell I love how bold Olenna is and I love that she was able to make Sansa tell her the truth about Joffrey even though Sansa is still clearly terrified of what could happen to her if anyone found out that she spoke ill of the king. I loved the scene between Margery and Joffrey where Margery plays him so well and I love how she has him so perfectly entranced in her and I love how in the scene with the cross bow she's practically threatening to kill him and he hasn't clue of what she's up to. I loved all of the stuff with Bran, I loved his dreams that seem to be telling him a bit of the future as well as the past and I loved how it was mention that he can get into animals heads. I loved the introduction of the Reeds, I love how Jojen has this aura of wisdom and calmness and I love how Meera is the one that uses the weapons and I love that she protects her brother and not the other way around, I thought the introduction of both characters was great and I can't wait see more of them and this storyline in general. I really love the relationship that seems to be developing between Bran and Jojen I love how Jojen has similar abilities to Bran's but has much more knowledge about them. I'm also very interested in Arya's storyline because it has just been revealed to some people that she is in fact Arya of house Stark which will lead to some interesting conflicts in episodes to come I'm sure.

2. Psych: This week's episode of Psych was fantastic it was very funny and had a lot of good character and relationship moments. I loved how in this episode was about getting ready for Lassiter's wedding which he decided to only plan two days ahead of time and there's also a guy who use to work for a mob boss that they capture several times through out the episode. I also really enjoyed Juliet and Chief Vick going to Marlow's bachelorette party and I loved that Buzz showed up as a stripper which as surprising and hilarious. I loved all the mishaps that occur throughout this episode and as far as tv weddings go this one was one of the most exciting ones. I kind of loved at the end of the episode that Juliet finally figured out that Shawn isn't actually psychic because this is one of the things I've been wanting someone to find out since the beginning of the show and I also liked how Shawn sort of tried to justify the lying because it's not something we see him do often. Anyways great episode can't wait until the next one.

3. Doctor Who: A new episode of Doctor Who aired this week and it was great. I really loved how we learned a bit about Clara's backstory with the story of how her parents met and her mother's death, I also like how these things become important to the story with the most important leaf in existence towards the end of the episode. I loved how when Clara saw that the little girl Mary was scared that she went to find her and that she helped her. I also loved how the Doctor made Mary realize that just because everyone says she was suppose to die to save everyone she doesn't have to sacrifice herself to a monster if she doesn't really want to.

Fangirl Friday 34

Fangirl five Friday is a weekly meme host Nancy Drew is my Homegirl and what it's meme that has you list the top five things you've been fangirling about this week.

1. Game of Thrones: Game of Thrones season 3 premiered this week and I really enjoyed the episode although it didn't feel like a lot happened in it which is okay because it was enough to just see my favorite characters again. I really loved everything involving Margaery, I loved seeing her offer kindness to the common children and how by her showing this kindness she was actually able to get some of the common people to like her which I thought was amazing since she used kindness in order to win the people over and it worked better than anything the Lannisters have done since Joffery became king. I also loved seeing Cersei barely concealed hate for Margaery in their scenes together and I loved how Margaery's kindness and smile never faltered, I just really love Margaery I have since her first scene but this week's episode increased my love for her by a lot. I really loved Sansa's scene where she was playing a game in which she would make up stories of where the ships were going and I loved that her answer to Shae's question about why would she make up story when she knows the truth was "The truth is always terrible or boring." I love this quote so much because it shows that even through all the things that Sansa has been through she still the girl we met in the first book in a lot of ways which I think is great because that means that her being held prisoner hasn't completely broken her spirit. I also enjoyed Sansa scene with Littlefinger when she tells him that she wants to leave king's landing and I love how she used what he said about her being a bad liar against him in this episode. I also really liked the exchange between Shae and Ros where they talked about how far they have come from where they started and how Shae said that she always looks out for Sansa, I just really love the relationship between Sansa and Shae in the show. I also loved all of the stuff with Danearys with how she actually has managed to get herself a ship and that she is now looking for an army for herself. I was also very interested in how Ser Barristan has come to join her Queen's guard and I'm interested to how she'll respond to his request.

2. Doctor Who: Doctor Who also returned this week and we finally met the version of Clara Oswald that will be traveling with the Doctor. I really loved this episode it had a really interesting concept with the whole wi-fi stealing people's souls and I really loved seeing how the Doctor and Clara interacted. I enjoyed seeing how the Doctor introduced her to the taradis and how he does things, I liked how Clara called the taradis a snog box and she was surprised that the doctor didn't really have a plan beyond finding the bad guys. I really enjoyed this episode and I'm looking forward to the next one.
3. Psych: There was an another new episode of Psych this week and it was an another great one. In this episode Shawn investigates the death of a circus performer and most of this takes place while he his helping Gus look after his girlfriend's son Max which causes problems for Gus because Max keeps seeing things that a kid shouldn't see. There also a bit of a brief break up of sorts between Shawn and Gus but things are back to normal by the end of the episode. Lassiter also as his girlfriend released from jail in this episode and because of her parole officer they have a few problems being together so Juliet tries to help them out. I overall loved this week's episode it was funny and had good character and relationship moments in it.

4. Degrassi: If you follow my blog you may have noticed that I haven't posted much this week and that would be because I have been watching Degrassi obsessively this week I watched most of season 11 and about half of season 12. Well I'm still really enjoying this show which should be fairly obvious considering how much of it I have watched this week. I enjoyed the whole plot with Holly J finding out that she was adopted and how she had to convince her bio-mom to donate one of her kidneys for her but I didn't like how the show somehow made Holly J look bad for wanting her bio-mom to help her out without paying her 20,000 dollars especially since it's illegal to buy organs. I just don't get why the show made it seem like it was wrong for Holly J to be mad at someone for holding an organ transplant that she needs or she'll die in the near future hostage but I'm glad that Holly J was able to get the organ when Fiona bought her bio-mom's old prom dress for 20,000 and I love that Fiona was so willing to buy it for her. I found the plot line were Anya was doing cocaine regularly to be pretty weird considering that it seemed more like the symptoms of binge drinking then cocaine and when her mom found out about it she seemed to take it far too well considering how dangerous cocaine can be. I really enjoyed Bianca stroyline in season 11 where she was doing things she didn't want to in order to protect Drew even though they weren't even dating at the time and I liked how in the second half of season 11 she was working on getting her life together and being a better person than she was before because of these storylines I really started to love Bianca has a character in way that I thought I never would and I also really enjoy her and Drew as a couple. I also ended up really liking Katie as a character after it started to be revealed that she not as in control or perfect and she pretends to by, I felt really bad for her in the election episode when Marisol treat her badly overall and told people about how Katie use to be bulimic and when Drew broke up with her and got with Bianca right afterwards, I also really love the relationship that developed between her and Jake. I also really love Jake as a character he's just seem like such a nice guy and he takes almost everything really calmly which isn't something that you really see on the show ever, I also like his whole plot about building a garden with Katie. I really loved watching the relationship between Fiona and Imogen from a nice friendship to a romantic relationship, I adore both characters and I love them together. I also have really enjoyed watching Clare and Eli get back together in season 12 and I love their relationship in season 12 even more than I did in season10. I love the character Cam he's such a great new character he's sweet, shy and awkward but he's also really sad and lonely all he wants to do is find happiness which he does with Maya and their relationship is really cute. I'm really loving the show and while I'm sure there's more I could say about it, I think I've said enough for now.
5. The Bates Motel: This week's episode of Bates Motel was a good one and it really dealt a lot more with Norman's character and the possibility of a mental disorder which I found fascinating because those types of things always intrigues me. I'm really loving this show so far and I can't wait to see what happens next.
