Book Review: Embassy Row: All Fall Down

All Fall Down is about a teenage girl named Grace who is sent to live with her grandfather who is an ambassador while her father is off fighting for the military somewhere that is too dangerous for her to go. Grace hasn't been back to the embassy  nor has she seen her grandfather since before her mother died. The circumstances of Grace's mother's death is something that has put her at odds with most people in her life because while everyone around Grace believes the death was an accident Grace knows that her mother was shot right before her eyes.

As someone who is known as a troublemaker their are several people around the Embassies who were told to look after her such as her brother's friend Alexi who is the son of the Russian ambassador who Grace has known for most of her life but never really got along with all that well, then there is Noah who is a well behaved son of ambassadors from both Israel and Brazil who has decided that he and Grace should be best friends which she agrees with rather quickly. Grace ends up finding trouble fairly quickly despite everyone including her trying their best to prevent any trouble from occurring when she sees the man that she saw kill her mother and hears him talk about getting rid of someone else. Grace along with her new friends then makes it her mission to find out who the man is and put a stop to his plans to kill another person while also trying to convince everyone that she isn't crazy.

Overall I really liked this book it was a fun read that put our characters in an interesting setting and had an interesting plot as well. The characters and the relationships in this book are very enjoyable which made this book all the more pleasant to read. Please tell me your thoughts about this book in the comment section below.

Book Review: Gallagher Girls: United We Spy

                                          Gallagher Girls: United We Spy Review   

United We Spy is the final book in the Gallagher Girls series and it's about how Cammie and her friends are getting close to graduating which means they have to decide on the type of career path they want to follow and they have to find a way to stop the circle once and for all so that they are safe to live their lives outside of the safety of Gallagher Academy. Cammie and her friends find out that the circles members are planning something big that will lead to a lot of innocent people getting killed if they can't stop them but since circle members are being killed off one by one getting information about their plans is more difficult than it usually is.

This book does a good job at blending the story about taking down the circle for the good of the world and also how Cammie is struggling to decide about what she wants to do after she graduates, I like that two very different storylines are able to blend together so well. Cammie finds herself unable to really focus on her future because all she can seem to think about is finding a way to take down the circle because she'll never be able to feel truly safe until it's taken down which means she doesn't allow herself to plan a future for herself until it's done.

I overall loved this book I found the plot to be a good one that kept me invested, I continue to love the characters and I love the relationships that the characters shared with each other. I thought that this book was a fitting ending to the series it sent off our favorite characters in a way that makes me happy and keeps true to who they are, it's going to be hard to say goodbye to this series since I've been reading it for so long but I'm glad that we got such a nice ending. Top 10 Book Series I Want to Start Reading

1. Embassy Row: This series is by Ally Carter and since I loved both the Gallagher Girls and Heist Society series I figure that this will be another series that I would enjoy.
2. Vampire Academy: I've recently seen the movie of this series and I liked quite a bit and everyone says the books are better than the movie which means that I'll probably end up loving this series.
3. The Trials of Apollo: This another series by Rick Riordan and this one comes after the Heroes of Olympus series which I am almost finished reading so since I love all the other books I read in this universe this one is bound to be another series I enjoyed.
4. Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard: Once again I love series written by Rick Riordan and although this series follows different type of gods I'm sure that this series will end having good adventure and characters that I'll end up loving.
5. Study series: This series is one that sounded really interested to me when I first read about it and I still find it interesting so it's on my to be read list still.
6. The Gemma Doyle Trilogy: This series is one that sounds interesting to me and I have heard good things about this series so I would like to check it out for myself some time in the future.
7. Thorne of Glass series: This is a series that sounds like it could be good and a lot of people seemed to like it so I hope that I will enjoy it as well.
8. Touch of Power series: This is another series that I recall sounding interesting to me and it's one that I already own the first book of so this is one that I could start reading fairly soon.
9. His Fair Assassin Trilogy: This is a series with an uncommon set up that I think could be an interesting read.
10. Darkness Rising: This series is set in the same universe as The Darkest Powers series and since I loved that series I'm interested in reading this one as well.

Book Review: Gallagher Girls: Out of Sight Out of Time

                                                Out of Sight Out of Time Review

The fifth book in the Gallagher Girls series starts months after the last book but Cammie doesn't seem to be able to remember anything that has happened over the summer so while she's able to get back to school, her friends and family she still doesn't feel like she's safe there because she has such a large gap in her memory she doesn't feel like herself and so she makes it her mission to recover her loss memories. Her friends and family think that there's a reason that Cammie can't remember last summer so they try to discourage her quest but it soon becomes clear that she refuses to give up the search for loss memories.

There is also progress in what the circle is after and it's revealed that Cammie learned what they were over her summer that she can't remember and it's also revealed why the circle have had such an interest in Cammie these last couple of years. This plot point does a really good job at tying the series all together with how it points out the importance of the first book which while a lovely and fun introduction to the characters and world of the series didn't really seem all that connected to the rest of the series before it's revealed that the events of the first book are more important than readers would assume.

This book is overall good the story was interesting and the characters were great as always and there relationships with each other were even better and I felt that quite a lot of important things happened with the plot in this book. Overall this was a great book in a great series. Please tell me your thoughts on this book or just the series in general.

Top 5 Authors Who I Own Most of Their Books

1. Rick Riordan: I own 9 books buy him because I love his series Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Heroes of Olympus and The Kane Chronicles although I obviously don't own all of the books in these series expect Percy Jackson I plan to one day and I have loved every book of his that I have read and always look forward to reading more of his books in the future.
2. Ellen Hopkins: I own 7 books by Ellen Hopkins and I have read five of them and I have loved them all because of how she uses easy to understand poetry to tell her stories which always seem to cover heavy topics in ways that don't feel preachy. I loved all of her books that I have read but if I was to put them in order it would be Impulse, Perfect, Tricks, Tilt(mostly because of Shane), and Identical, I loved all these books and if anyone would like me to expand on my reasoning for the order I'd love to write about it because I would love to be able to talk about her books at length.
3. Ally Carter: I own 8 books by her because of my love for the Gallagher Girls and Heist Society series these are both fun series about young girls that are filled with action-adventure, friendship, humor and romance which I love all of these things and there just great fun to read.
4.Natsuki Takaya: I own 25 books by her because my favorite work of fiction of all time is the Fruits Basket manga which she has written and that happens to be 23 volumes long and I would recommend that series to everyone whether they think manga is there thing or not because it has the best story, character development and writing that I have ever encountered and I feel that everyone should read this series because of this. I also feel that everyone should read Fruits Basket because it's a series where characters have to overcome a lot of things but they are shown to be able to overcome those things even when it feels impossible and they have to overcome those things by putting in a lot of effort which I think helps to inspire people to improve themselves. Also if anyone who reads this is a fan of Fruits Basket I would love to discuss the series with you.
5. Clamp: I own 67 books by Clamp but that is no where near close to most of the books that they have written since they have tons of series that they have been writing together for the past twenty years and I have loved everything that I have read of their's so far even though some of their series are very strange. I love Cardcaptor Sakura which is a very happy story that is about love in all it's forms as well as a young girl having to capture and control magic cards, I loved Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle which is about a group of misfits who travel across dimensions together and form a make shift family and then things get dark and sad then confusing to the point that nothing makes sense anymore. I love Tokyo Babylon even though for quite sometime it feels not much happens but when things start happening I felt like my heart was ripped out trampled on thrown through a woodchopper and then shoved back in my chest in summary the ending is completely heartbreaking in the best way possible. I love Magic Knight Rayearth which is about three young girls that have to save another world and become very close friends very quickly things don't turn out the way the expected it would. There's quite a few other series by Clamp I love but these four are my favorites and if list all their series it would take far too long but I definitely recommend their stuff if you're looking for something different.

Top 10 Contemporary Books

1. The Perks of Being a Wallflower: This is my favorite book of all time so it's no surprise that it tops this list as well. I love that this is book where we just follow the main character Charlie through his freshmen year of high school because the plot is simple but this allows for a bunch of great character stories through out the book. I also just really love the way that Charlie thinks because it's so lovely and not like any other character that I've ever read.
2. Impulse: I really Ellen Hopkins books in general and this is my favorite book of her's that I have read so far. I love that this story starts with our three main characters recovering from attempting suicide and I love how we slowly learn what led them to the point of wanting to kill themselves. I really love that the three characters each have distinct voices and I really love the poetry form the story is told through.
3. Looking For Alaska: I really love how this story starts off as a going off to boarding school and just general teenage issues but half way through the book the story becomes darker and deeper. I also just really love the characters who had so much life to them and I love the way that the book was written as well.
4. Perfect: This book is a companion novel to Impulse and I like that it gave more depth to one of the characters stories in that book and also introduced us to the stories of 4 new characters. I love that this book dealt with the idea of trying to achieve perfection and how since perfection is impossible it's a very damaging thing to do and some of the characters learned this and other didn't.
5. Heist Society: I really love this fun light story about teenage con-artist that has lots of travel, heists, great characters and a nice dose of romance that at no point overtakes the plot which is a nice change compared to most YA novels.
6. Gallagher Girls: This is a nice fun story about girls spy school that has plenty of great friendship moments and mixes teenage girl and spy pretty much perfectly. As the series goes on the story gets more complicated and darker which I'm really enjoying. There's also a bit of romance that I enjoy quite a bit as well.
7. Tricks: This is a story about five teens who somehow end up having to sell themselves for various reasons and I really enjoyed how different each of their stories were and how they were told as well. I feel like this is a book that sounds a bit strange to say that I loved it but I thought it had a really good story to it although it was by no means a happy one.
8. The Fault in Our Stars: This is a book that is known for it's sweet romance and it's sad ending and while I agree that both those things are great parts of the book I also think that it's wicked sense of humor is also one of the major things that makes me love the book.
9. Tilt: While I always love the beautiful poetic writing of Ellen Hopkins I admit that the reason this book makes the list is only because of Shane's story(I didn't care much for Hardly's and Mikayla's stories). His story went in a way I never expected it to and I really loved him having a crisis of faith and just basically slowly falling apart wanting someone to notice and not wanting to bother anyone with his problems at the same time, it was a complicated story and one that I completely adored.
10. It's Kind of a Funny Story: This is the story about how the pressures of achieving became too much for a boy named Craig and how when he couldn't meet the especially high standards that he set for himself he became depressed to the point of being suicidal so he checked himself into the mental health wing of the hospital and slowly began the process of recovery.

Top 10 Books of 2013

1. Looking for Alaska: This book I loved because it was a great coming of age story with the main character Pudge going to boarding school and for the first time being part of a close friend group which he had quite a few good times with but it's also a story that becomes much darker and deeper in it's second half. There's also the character Alaska who is pretty complicated, interesting and frustrating she has a lot of problems but she doesn't think anyone else is allowed to be upset because their problems are trivial compared to hers according to her but she can also be quite fun and she seems pretty smart. Then there's the second half of the book that deals with loss and how in the end you can't fully know a person or what happened in their last moments and that sometimes in life not all your questions can be answered and you just have to on with your life. This book was both funny and sad, was well written and had great characters.
2. The Fault in Our Stars: This book was much better than I thought it would be because I thought it was going to just be depressing all the way through but it wasn't. This book had a dark sense of humor which is my favorite kind and it really did suit the characters teenagers with cancer would totally make those kind of jokes. I also loved the relationship between Hazel and Augustus they were just such wonderful characters and they fit together just perfectly in the end. The story did take a depressing turn in the end which I was okay with even though I sobbed for quite a while.
3. Tilt: This is an Ellen Hopkins book which means I loved the way it was written in beautiful but easy to understand poetry. I wasn't a huge fan of Hardly or Mikayla because they both seemed to make obvious horrible life choices repeatedly but I did feel for them and their stories were interesting. Shane story on the other hand was one that I just loved, I loved his relationship with Alex which I never expected to be a sweet romantic one, I loved his relationship with his mother who he both feels like he needs her but also that he can't go to her because she already has too much to deal with, and I love that his storyline came to be about how he couldn't get past how pointless death is and he actually has a crisis of faith. I really love this book mainly for Shane's storyline that I'm probably not explaining it's brilliance very well since I haven't read it in months.
4. It's Kind of a Funny Story: This book is one about a high school boy who got himself into when of the best schools around and just feels like he isn't smart enough to be there and he is just ends being overwhelmed by all the work which leads him to becoming depressed. One night he decides to kill himself but instead checks himself into the psych ward in the hospital and starts his recovery process. I just really loved the book I really cared for and understood the main character and I always enjoy anything dealing with mental health.
5. Cinder: This is wonderful retelling of Cinderella in a futuristic China which has terrific world building and a great plot that makes you want to know more about everything that happens in this world. The characters are also great especially Cinder and Prince Kai who also develop a friendship hopeful romance later on in the series, through out the book that is a lot more realistic than I would expect out of a book based on Cinderella. This is a terrific book and there's not a single reason I can think of to not read this book.
6. Forever: I loved the last book of The Wolves of Mercy Falls series although not as much as I loved Linger but I'm oddly obsessed with that book so that's not really a surprise. I felt like it was a good conclusion to Sam and Grace's story with Grace making peace with her parents and Sam learning and accepting a lot about Beck, also there together at last which is what they have been trying to have since the beginning. I think that Cole and Isabel's storylines were less resolved but they both seem to be going in a positive direction with Cole wanting to actually survive and caring for other people and Isabel accepting her brother's death and confronting her feelings about most things a bit better. The relationship between Cole and Isabel is still complicated and undefined but there definitely closer now. I loved this book and the series as a whole especially Linger, but what I love most is the characters.
7. Only the Good Spy Young: This was the most exciting book in the series so far with lots of logical twist and turns I never saw coming. I also continue to love the characters and their relationships with each other.
8. Perfect Scoundrels: I loved this book because there was a lot of background information on Hale that was given that I had always been interested in. I also really loved Kat and Hale's relationship with them being from different worlds being the conflict in their relationship which was much more interesting to read about than some random love triangle that I half expected to see in this book but luckily that never happened.
9. Hide and Seek: This book was one that was exciting and full of plot twists that I've come to expect and enjoy through out this series.
10. The Magician's Nephew: This story about the beginning of Narnia was sweet and very fun and interesting read for me.

Top 10 Sequels

1. Linger: This is a book that spoke to me in a way that I don't think most think of this series as being capable of doing this probably one of my all time favorite books now in fact if you look at my Top 10 Book Moments list you'll see it appears a lot. Most people right this book off as another paranormal romance when the main characters obsess about their love for one another and while that does happen a bit I think if that's all you get out of the book your missing out on a really great story. When I think of this book the first thing I think of is how it's kind of set after happily ever after with how Sam adjust to the idea that he now gets to always stay in his human skin and I really love that we got to see him process his feelings about this and I also love that we saw more of his past as well because the young odd fragile Sam is probably my favorite Sam. I also really loved the character Cole St.Clair who's is that asshole bad boy who is really hot but in the end isn't worth the tears you cry over him and I love that Cole hates himself for being that guy but doesn't seem to be able to stop so he's just became a self-destructive mess in order to escape himself. I really enjoy the relationship that Sam and Cole have in this book because they're so different in personality and life views that they don't really get along although Sam always tries to be polite which only serves to make Cole more eager to get under his skin. I also really love the relationship Cole and Isabel have where Isabel is looking for a way to self-destructive since she feels guilty for the role she played in her brother's death and Cole couldn't be a more destructive force and I kind of love the unhealthiness of their relationship with how she actually resents him for starting to pull himself together before she could. Overall I love this book for really all the little characters moments.
2. The Battle of the Labyrinth: This is my favorite book of the series I just love seeing all of the characters we met over the course of the series storylines coming together within the labyrinth. This is also the book that made the threat of Kronos something that couldn't be prevented anymore which in turn made the series have a bit of a dark feel to it. I just really loved all the interconnected storylines with the quest, the thing with Nico, Grover finally finding Pan and of course Kronos finally becoming a real threat rather than just a prophecy. I also loved just seeing all the characters and their relationships.
3. The Awakening: This book is one that I loved because the action never really felt like it stopped and when it did it was about developing characters or abilities so I was never bored with the book. I felt like this book moved fast and that a lot happen and that really worked for me.
4. The Son of Neptune: I just really loved all three of our narrators and I loved learning Hazel and Frank's backstories and I liked seeing a relationship develop between them as well. I also really loved seeing Percy as well considering he's one of my all time favorite characters and I just really loved the whole story.
5. Perfect Scoundrels: I really love this book because of how well it handled Kat and Hale's relationship I loved how this book gave them relationship problems that came completely from them with how the conflict was that they come from two different worlds and while Hale is part of Kat's now that doesn't mean that he'll always want to be a part of it. I also love how this story also gives us a lot of background information on Hale as well.
6. Only the Good Spy Young: This book is one that had a lot of plot twist that both shocked me but at the same time made sense and learning about them I felt the same way in which the characters did which is always a good thing because you never want to be frustrated by a characters stupidity.
7.Cross my Heart Hope to Spy: This book is the one that I think really made the series have more of an ongoing storyline to it with introducing the mysterious Blackthrone boys and the start of Cammie and Zach's relationship. This book I would say was slightly darker than the first but still pretty light and fun also there was an espionage ball which is my favorite thing this series ever done.
8. The Titan's Curse: I really loved this book because I enjoyed the overall story of it and I really love the character of Zoe Nightshade who only appeared in this book but made a big impression on me. I also liked getting to know Thalia better and this is the book that introduced two of my favorite characters of the whole series Nico Di Angelo and Rachel Elizabeth Dare. Overall I just really loved this book.
9. A Clash of Kings: This one probably should be higher up on the list since it's great but I've been reading it for over a year now, I'm stuck on a Jon and Theon chapters right in a row and I'm not really a big fan of reading their point of views so I read other things instead. I feel I should mention I am update with the show which I'm also loving and I still do intend to read all the books it's just going to take me awhile to finish this one. I really love the book because well Sansa point of view chapters are my favorite because she's a favorite character of mine and her journey is more of an internal one since she can't speak her true opinion it works better in book form and it seems like quite a bit of her story was cut out of the show. I'm also really loving Bran's storyline in the book and I'm pretty sure they cut a ton out of his storyline in the show since Jojen and Meera Reed arrive much earlier and there's much more about important people staying in Winterfell.
10. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban: It's been a long time since I've read this book but I remember loving it and I remember being mad that the movie didn't follow the book closer although I still enjoyed the movie.

Top 10 Authors that Deserve more Recognition

1. Natsuki Takaya: She wrote my favorite series of all time which is Fruits Basket, I think that the writing in that series is perfect. The characters are developed so well and they grow up so much over the course of the series and even though the character change a lot of the course of the series it never feels sudden and it always feels earned. I loved that even though there was so many characters they all had backstories and they all had depth to them. I loved the way that the relationships develop over the course of the series in fact something I really love about the series is that while people who haven't read it assumes that it's a love triangle series a little over half way through the series it's revealed that one of the boys couldn't never see the main character in a romantic way and trying to force those feelings would just feel empty. I also really loved that she never rushed any of the romantic relationships in the series and instead made sure that the characters were emotionally prepared to be in a relationship rather than having them assume that being with someone would fix them, I overall really like that characters had to fix themselves in the series. I always really love the foreshadowing through out the series which something you can't really appreciate until at least your second reading of the series and I really love the intention to detail that she has since she once talked about how she worried about getting something as insignificant as finger nail length right.
2. Sara Shepard: I think that she's really good at creating suspense and mystery in her series The Lying Game because there are so many twist and turns in that series and she always does a good job of making me suspect someone as Sutton's killer but then is able to prove that it couldn't have been them and there's quite a few other mysteries in the series that I wasn't expecting as well. I feel like Sara Shepard probably doesn't get the credit she deserves for this series because she's writing about teenage girls and teenage girls and murder mysteries rarely mix but I think she does a really good job of combining the two.
3. Ellen Hopkins: I think Ellen Hopkins is fairly well known do to her unique style of writing her novels in verse and while I think that her writing style does make her writing beautiful I don't think that's the only thing that she should be recognized for. Her characters are always so well developed and even when you don't like the characters you understand who the characters are and I feel like all of her characters always have depth which isn't true for most novels unfortunately. I also think she handles the controversial issues in a very emotional honest way which is something that I appreciate a lot.
4. Frank Beddor: I really love his series The Looking Glass Wars because it's an extremely creative retelling of Alice in Wonderland not to mention my favorite. I really love how he changed the original Alice in Wonderland characters to fit his version of wonderland and loved the new characters he created as well and I also loved the world of Wonderland because it's just such a magical place but also a dangerous place as well. I never really hear about Frank Beddor and since I think he did such a great job with The Looking Glass Wars I wish more people recognized his talent.
5. Ally Carter: I think that Ally Carter does get a pretty good amount of recognition but I think she still does deserve more because she writes really entertaining series about teen girls being spies and con artists, she also has written great female friendships which are rarer than they should be and she also writes sweet romances that never over take the plot. I love both her series Gallagher Girls and Heist Society and look forward to any other books she may write.
6. Clamp: Clamp is extremely well known in the manga/anime community because they have created so many series but sadly it seems like the majority of the community doesn't actually respect their writing. Clamp has written 150 volumes of manga and are still creating new volumes now while I haven't read all of their series and I'll admit that there are some series I love a lot more than others I still think it's impress that they have written so many volumes. Their series that I think are completely brilliant are Tokyo Babylon and Cardcaptor Sakura they are two very different series. In that Tokyo Babylon is a series that is mostly about the issues facing the people of Tokyo in the 1990s being told through a supernatural perspective and the main theme of the series is that no can judge someone else's pain because they haven't felt it which I think is a brilliant theme, also the ending of Tokyo Babylon is downright depressing. Cardcaptor Sakura on the other hand is a far happier series about a magical girl who must collect Clow cards and it's also a series about how love comes in all different forms and explores all different kinds of love not just the romantic kinds although that is included in several different ways as well, the end of this series is also one of my favorite but it's a very happy ending.
7. Tachibana Higuchi: I really loved both Gakuen Alice and M&N and I don't hear the name mentioned too often even though both of those series are great. I think the characters are well written and the world of Gakuen Alice is pretty creative as well.

3 Writers who don't write books:
1. Jed Whedon & Maurissa Tancharoen: These two have written some of the best episodes of Dollhouse which is a series that absolutely love but it's over all a pretty underrated series therefore their writing is over all pretty underrated as well. These two wrote my favorite episode Belonging(2.04) which is one of my favorite episodes of all time and is something that I think everyone should watch even if you don't usually watch tv. Belonging is an episode that does so much is such a short amount of time, it gives the backstory of one character well also developing another and it also does quite a bit for the show's main romance and it also advances the overall plot of the series a bit in a subplot. The episode also as main ethical dilemmas present in it as well and the episode is actually quite disturbing too. Other episodes they wrote that I love are Epitaph One and The Attic.
2. Marina and the Diamonds: I think that Marina is a brilliant songwriter because she has so much meaning behind all of her songs and the lyrics are so memorable as well. I especially loved her concept behind her second album Electra Heart in which she takes on the personas of primadonna, Su-Barbie-A, the teen idle and the homewrecker, I also like how the album was the dark side of the whole American dream concept and I really loved how she had such a well thought out concept for her album because it's not something that see often.
Buy the Stars- I really love this song because to me at least it seems to be about the whole concept that I see in fiction a lot about how some guy with a dark past is saved when falls in love with a good girl but the relationship can't actually work because he just sees her as the light in his life the solution to his problems rather than her own person and someone who can't be owned. Therefore the relationship between the two can never work since he doesn't even really know her.You bought a star in the sky tonight/Because your life is dark and it needs some light/You named it after me, but I’m not yours to keep/Because you’ll never see, that the stars are free.
Teen Idle- This song is actually my favorite song of hers I've heard that it's both about how someone is looking back on her teen years and regretting not being more apart of the whole teenage experience because they were too busy being cynical and I've also heard that it's about how teen idols are kind of trapped in this phase were they are expected to be innocent but at the same time they are growing up and becoming teenagers and are likely to rebel. Either way the song is really brilliant in my opinion and the lyrics paints a story. I also really like that at points the song can be pretty contradicting with this part I wanna be a virgin pure/A 21st century whore and I also really love how self the destructive the lyrics can sound at points I wanna drink until I ache/I wanna make a big mistake/I want blood, guts and angel cake/I’m gonna puke it anyway. I also really enjoyed the part in this song in which the girl is a bit narcissistic but hates herself for it with I wish I wasn’t such a narcissist/I wish I didn’t really kiss the mirror when I’m on my own. Another part of the song that I see a lot on tumblr is The wasted years, the wasted youth/The pretty lies, the ugly truth.Starring Role- This song is about a girl who's in a relationship with a guy that really isn't putting her first and she resents that but stays with the guy because she cares for him too much to let him go and is a bit obsessed with him I believe at least that's what I heard it took me quite a while to pick up on that part. You're hard to hug, tough to talk to/And I never fall asleep, when you're in my bed/All you give me is a heartbeat/I've turned into a statue/And it makes me feel depressed/Cause the only time you open up is when we get undressed. The next part I really love of the song makes me think that she really does desire to the relationship at times You know I'd rather walk alone, than play a supporting role/If I can't get the starring role.How To Be A Heartbreaker- This song is probably her best known song and it's in the persona of the homewrecker and I do really love the song as well although I think I may love Homewrecker a bit more that song also deals with the whole girls who don't let themselves get attach don't get themselves hurt theme of the homewrecker persona.
Oh No!- Is a song from her first episode that I love because it just really speaks to me for some reason. Some of my favorite lyrics from the song are: Don't do love, don't do friends/I'm only after success/Don't need a relationship. Also this part: One track mind, one track heart/If I fail, I'll fall apart/Maybe it is all a test/Cause I feel like I'm the worst/So I always act like I'm the best

 I love pretty much all of her song but since this section is already really long I'm just going to list them rather than explain why I love them, Are You Satisfied?, I'm Not a Robot, Hermit the Frog, Seventeen, Bubblegum Bitch, Power and Control, Fear and Loathing, and Scab and Plaster.
3. Hideaki Anno: He created the anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion which is one of the most well known animes around. The reason why I think he should get more recognition is because he created a series in which the characters were all deep and well developed but that didn't necessarily mean that the characters where all strong or brave because realistically they usually wouldn't be. I really loved the way he wrote the main character Shinji as someone who didn't jump right into the hero but rather as a boy who had been abandon by his father for years and when his father finally acknowledges his existence again it's for him to fight against a creature that very well may kill him and I liked that Shinji always had to tell himself he mustn't run away. I over all just really enjoyed how deep this series could get.

Top 8 Books I read so far this year

1. Looking for Alaska: It was close call between this one and The Fault in Our Stars because both of the books were written with so many memorable lines and also both made me experience a lot of emotions. But I choose Looking for Alaska as my favorite book of the year so far because I just connected to it more. I really loved reading the story and I felt a pretty good connection to Pudge especially with how before the story started he never done much of anything but stay at home and read but he's also in search of more of something more exciting in live in what he refers to as the great perhaps. I also really loved how this book had it's characters value intelligence and I like the thing about the school sports team being so awful it's funny. I liked all of Pudge's new friends and how they were all different and how they all had their own stories to tell. I love how in the end it seems to me that we were suppose to be somewhat conflicted about our feelings for Alaska and I loved that she was a mystery that couldn't quite be solved in the end and that it doesn't really matter all that much that she can't be solved as long as she will be remembered. I also loved how the book was divided into a Before and After section and how the tone and theme of the story is different in the section but both sections are equally enjoyable.
2. The Fault in Our Stars: The Fault in Our Stars was a book that I heard a lot about before I read it and therefore I was a bit nervous it wouldn't live up to the hype so I was extremely happy when I discovered how much I loved this book. This surprised me with it's great dark sense of humor where Hazel, Augustus and Issac would frequently joke about their cancer or really just death in general. I love that kind of dark sense of humor and it seemed to fit the characters because they are teenagers even though they have cancer which was nice to see in my opinion. I really loved the relationship between Hazel and Augustus, I loved seeing it developed from friendship to love and I really just thought the two of them were extremely cute together and I loved that they both gave each other books in order to get more insight into what the other likes. I loved that this book broke my heart and made me cry as much as it did because for some reason I love it when a book can really make me cry as much The Fault in Our Stars did.
3. Tilt: This is a book that I thought about putting higher on the list until I realized that even the whole thing is written in the beautiful poetry of all Ellen Hopkins books I read I only actually loved Shane's storyline and was just interested and sympathetic to Mikayla and Harley. I loved this book because of Shane's storyline I loved that though his character was gay that his whole storyline didn't revolve around that although I did really love his relationship with Alex because they were really sweet and I loved how they both went into the relationship looking for something causal but ended up falling in love. I really loved how Shane did love his sister Shelby but didn't think that she really had much of a life but despite that her death still hit him really hard. I loved Shane trying to come to terms with death and I loved seeing him have a crises of faith partially because I loved that he still believed in god at the beginning of the book. I loved how Shane desperately needed his mom but at the same time didn't want her to worry about him at all because he knew that she was going through a hard time as well. I was all that invested in Mikayla and Harley's storylines but there were still moments I enjoyed them a whole lot but I didn't love them like I loved Shane.
4. Only the Good Spy Young: The fourth book of Gallagher Girls series is my favorite in the series so far. I loved that there was a big plot twist right at the start of this book and I loved the way the characters reacted to the plot twist because my thoughts were pretty similar to theirs and I just loved the way all the twists played out in this book. I really loved all the action in this book and I loved how the stakes were so much higher in this book the early ones. I also continue to love all the characters and their relationships.
5. Perfect Scoundrels: The third book of the Heist Society series may just be my favorite. I loved how this book dealt with Kat and Hale's relationship with having the whole thing about how Hale is part of Kat's world but Kat doesn't have a place in Hale's world and she isn't sure that she can ever have a place in his world. I also loved that Kat saw that Hale coming to her world was somewhat similar to how at the beginning of the first book Kat ran away to boarding school and how she wonders if Hale is doing the same thing with her and it's just a matter of time until Hale goes back to his own world. I just loved that Kat and Hale's relationship dealt with all kind of really problems instead of some contrived love triangle like most YA books seem to have because it made more sense for their characters and in the end it said a lot about both characters. I loved learning more about Hale and the world which he came from in this book as well. I also loved the con artist parts of the story as well and I loved seeing all the characters that I fell in love with from the first two books again.
6. Magic Knight Rayearth II: I really love how the second half of this series is dealing with how the end of the first half of the series is effecting the girls. I loved that when the girls returned to Cefiro and see that the world is falling apart they decided they need to do everything in their power to save it.  I love that almost all the characters from the first half of the series are back and I love that there are many new characters from other worlds entering the series. I also love that it seems that this series is pointing out Cefiro's flaw of having one person support an entire world and not value anyone over anyone else. I continue to love the girls and their lovely friendship with each other and I continue to love artwork that is some of the most beautiful that I have ever seen.
7. Hide and Seek: The fourth book of The Lying Games series is very exciting in my opinion and I continue to love the mystery and I love all the twists and turns the series makes. I also adore the relationship between Emma and Ethan as well.
8. Gate-7: I've just start this series by Clamp and so far I'm really liking it. The artwork is beautiful and the characters seem interesting and it seems like there's going to be a lot of interesting mythology so right now I'm at a bit of a loss when it comes to explaining the series but I do know I really like it so far.

Book Review: Heist Society: Perfect Scoundrels

                                                    Perfect Scoundrels Review

In the third book of the Heist Society series after Hale's grandmother dies and he is named president of the company Kat is told that the original will might be a fake and as she goes to look into matters she starts to doubt her place in Hale's life. This book deals with Hale's family's company a lot with the bad guy of this book being Garrett the Hale family's lawyer who feels like he is owed something for all the work he has done for the family so he decided to steal and sell the company's newest prototype insuring that he'll get rich and that the company will fail. Kat and her crew of course do there best to find a way to stop Garrett from succeeding to save Hale's family's company but also and more importantly Hale himself.

The best part about this book to me was the conflicts in the relationship between Kat and Hale with how Kat worries that she won't always be apart of Hale's life because while he's definitely part of her world and everyone she knows about their relationship she's not really part of his world and no one from his world knows about them. I like that Kat worries that what Hale is doing with her is running away from his old life like she did when she went to boarding school and how for her the primary conflict in their relationship is that they are from two different worlds and maybe that's where they're suppose to end up the worlds they originally came from. For Hale the conflict of their relationship in the first part of the book was that Kat was looking into his family behind his back and she wasn't trusting him although this conflict is resolved fairly quickly because Hale could understand why Kat thought it was best not to tell him. I also like that in the later half of the book Hale worries that the only reason Kat keeps him around is because of his money and if he doesn't have that he worries that Kat wouldn't want him Kat assures him that's not true at all. I overall really loved seeing Kat and Hale in a relationship although at first I thought it was a little odd they had a relationship upgrade between books I think it worked really well in the book.

I overall loved this book I loved seeing the characters I've come to love so much all of them even the ones I didn't mention in my review. I really loved the plot because it was very different the first two but just as interesting also it gave quite a bit of insight into Hale's world which I thought was great. Please tell me your thoughts on this book or the series as a whole.

Top 10 Books I Read When I need something light and fun

1. Heist Society: I love this series about a group of teenage con artist who are able to plan and put into actions a number of elaborate heists. I love the characters and their relationships and I also think the book has a nice sense of humor to at times as well.
2. Pants on Fire: This is a lovely book by Meg Cabot who I love her writing style and I think that her books have a great sense of humor. I also remember I loved the characters a lot as well.
3. Cardcaptor Sakura: This is a series I love because of how happy it can make me it's just so sweet and cute and I love everything about this series. I love the artwork, the characters, the relationships and the plot.
4. How to Be Popular: Another great Meg Cabot book that I loved that had a great sense of humor and good characters.
5. Beauty Pop: This may very well be the weirdest series I've ever read but I love the series since it made me laugh quite a bit. This series is about people who take hair styling extremely seriously and that is part of the reason I love it.
6. Hex Hall: I love this series because of the characters and plot, I especially love that magic is a big part of the plot and I love the friendship between Sophie and Jenna so much their parts together has made me laugh at times and warmed my heart at others. I do think there will be darker aspects as the series moves on so it's not an entirely light series by any means.
7. Gallagher Girls: I love this series about girls in spy school and I love that it has a sense of humor to it and that the girls have a strong friendship and are mix of their teenage selves as well as spies. The series gets darker as it moves on but that makes it better in my opinion.
8. Secret Circle: I love this series because it combines witches and teenage bitches which are weirdly two of my favorite things. The series plotline is actually quite dark the more I think about it but the reasons I love this series so much is due to witches, bitches and les yay tastic friendships.
9. Percy Jackson and the Olympians: This is my favorite book series I love it's great characters, relationships, plots, mythology and sense of humor. the series can be a bit dark at times with it having characters deaths and the threat of civilization falling.
10. Fruits Basket: This is my favorite series of all time it's perfect in my opinion and I love everything about it so reading it makes me super happy. The series can be pretty dark at times though.

Book Review: Gallagher Girls: Only the Good Spy Young

                                                 Only the Good Spy Young Review

In the fourth book of Gallagher Girls series Cammie is put under major protection due to an ancient order named the Circle being after her and early on in the book Cammie is told that her CoveOps teacher Joe Solomon is part of the circle. The book does a great job of making it clear why Cammie would refuse to believe that Mr.Solomon is part of the circle because she's right about his actions not making sense if he was her enemy and she has plenty of reasons to believe that he does care about her and her mother but at the same time there is also a lot of evidence that proves he was part of the Circle. I really enjoyed seeing Cammie and her roommates try to prove that Mr.Solomon isn't a bad person.

The twist about Mr.Solomon being part of the Circle only really works because there was more to the story then just Mr.Solomon being secretly a bad guy. Mr.Solomon actually being someone who was recruited by the Circle when he was very young and seeing that the Circle are the bad guys which has led to him trying to bring the Circle down from within for years now and to just general make amends for his past misdeeds is something that I find both interesting and believable for Mr.Solomon's character.

In this book Cammie also learns a lot more about the mysterious Zach. I liked that we learn that Blackthorne is an academy that trains assassins rather than the type of spy Gallagher academy does and I like how Cammie highlights how even though the two of them share a lot of the same skills their two schools couldn't have been more different. I like how Cammie actually sees Zach's vulnerable side a bit and even gains a bit more understanding of who he is because of the experiences that the two go through together in this book.

Through out the book Cammie has seen that the people that she cares about are in more danger from the Circle than she is because the Circle wants her alive for some reason. I liked how the whole book pretty much built up to Cammie's decision at the end of the book to go out on her own in order to get the answer she needs but no one wants to tell her.

I overall loved this book it might even be my favorite book of the whole series so far. I loved all the plot twists and revelations. I loved the characters and their relationships as much as I always do. Please tell me your thoughts on this book.

1. Clamp: I have read about 9 series by Clamp and I've loved all of those series so therefore I always get excited when I hear about something new from them coming out. There's still a lot of their older stuff that want to read as well but that's a lot harder to find in stores.
2. Ally Carter: I love the Gallagher Girls and Heist Society series so much and I have every reason to believe that everything she writes should be just as good as these two series.
3. Ellen Hopkins: I love the way Ellen Hopkins write it's so beautiful and different form everything else I read and her stories are filled with so much depth. I haven't read all her books yet but I plan to.
4. Rick Riordan: I loved the Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Heroes of Olympus and The Kane Chronicles series so I have every reason to believe that I'll love everything else he writes as well.
5. Tachibana Higuchi: I love Gakuen Alice and M&N series and I would love to read anything else that is written by her.

Top 10 Book Romances

1. Fruits Basket: I honestly believe that Fruits Basket is the best written romance ever because it's a series that develops a large cast of characters and all of the relationships develop in the right amount of time. I love how the romantic relationships take a long time to happen and that the characters know each other very well before getting together and that by the time the characters enter into a romantic relationship the characters have actually worked through their issues enough to be emotional ready for a relationship. I also just love all the characters and the relationships and cute moments as well.
2. Cardcaptor Sakura: This lovely magical girl series is in my mind about all the different forms love comes in and it also doesn't say that one form of love is better than another. I love that while there are romantic relationships in the series that those aren't the only forms of love that are focus on there's also friendships and family love that are treated equally as important. I also just really love how sweet and nice the series and that there's quite a lot of blushing as well, also magical girl series are always some of my favorites.
3. Tokyo Babylon: This series is basically a tragic romance that could only end sadly but I feel like it tricks me into thinking there could have been a happy ending even though I know logical the relationship was doomed to end the way it did. This series last volume completely breaks my heart and I just love that the main theme of the series is that no one can really judge another person's pain.
4. Wolves of Mercy Falls series:I've only actually read the first two books of the series but I love the love stories in this series and I also just love the characters that seem to be mostly messed up in some form. I just adore the romance in the series but I honestly think I actually love the character related stuff more.
5. The Fault in Our Stars: This is sad but beautiful romance between two wonderfully entertaining characters and while I'm sad about the ending of the book I'm glad that those two met since their relationship was so beautiful.
6. Gallagher Girls series: I wouldn't really call this series a romance but rather I would call it a book that has very sweet romances but the plot involves girls in spy school which is so much cooler than romance but both sections of the series are equally good.
7. The Host: I really love this book as a series because I loved how Ian could love Wanda entirely for being who she is on the inside rather than anything to do with her looks.
8. Sailor Moon: This is a love magical girl series that has a reincarnation romance that is wonderful and so very romantic.
9. Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle: I'm not sure if this counts as a romance but I think it does since everything that happened in the series happened because of love and I just kind of love the whole I almost destroyed the universe in order to save my loved one type of stories.
10. Gentlemen's Alliance+: Just a series I love that involves romance that I remembered enjoying.

1. Perks of Being a Wallflower: This is my favorite book of all time and has a main character that looks at life in a different way and I just love the way that Charlie sees the world.
2. The Glass Menagerie: I love the whole story of this play but I especially love the character Laura because she's one of the few characters I can actually relate to.
3. The Book Thief: I love this book because it shows a different side to the world war II story and real humanizes the Germans during that time period.
4. Fruits Basket: This is my favorite series of all time and my favorite love story as well. I love all the characters because they're so well developed and I loved watching all of them grow over the course of the series.
5. Anything by Ellen Hopkins: I love the way she writes and I love the stories that she tells and the characters who she tells those stories through.
6. Tokyo Babylon: I love this series because it's a depressing love story were at the end of the series the reader knows that the main characters life is only going to get worse, I just love that this type of story was written.
7. Cardcaptor Sakura: This is a wonderful and sweet love story that is also a magical girl series which makes me love it even more.
8. Heist Society series: I love this series because I love anything involving con artist and I especially love this one because all the characters are very likable.

1. Clamp: Is my favorite mangakas because of the wide varity of stories, worlds and characters they create. I love that they can create sweet romances such as Cardcaptor Sakura or Chobits, bittersweet adventure stories such as Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle or Magic Knight Rayearth, and depressing stories that are a romance at heart such as Tokyo Babylon or X/1999. I also love their art because it is gorgeous.
2. Natsuki Takaya: I love Natsuki Takaya because she created Fruits Basket which is my favorite series of all time and I find the way she developed all the characters to be brilliant. I also love that she was able foreshadow everything pretty much perfectly which makes rereading the series so much better.
3. Arina Tanemura: I love Arina Tanemura for creating the series Kamikaze Kaito Jeanne, Gentleman's Alliance + and Sakura Hime: The Legend of Princess Sakura, all of these series of interesting plots as well as a strong main character.

1. George R.R. Martin: I just love the way that he's able to create worlds, plots and characters in such a beautiful way through out A Song of Ice and Fire series.
2. Rick Riordan: I love every book of his I've ever read and I love that he's able to mix plots, characters, mythology in the modern world and humor through out his stories.
3. Maggie Stiefvater:I love the beautiful way she describes things through out the Wolves of Mercy series and I love the stories and characters she creates as well.

Contemporary YA
1. Ellen Hopkins:I love how her books are told in verse and I love that she tackles series issues but from an individuals point of view and it's often very emotional journey for the characters and reader. I love her books Impulse, Perfect, Tricks and Identical.
2. Ally Carter:  I love her stories about the adventure of young girls and how the characters in her stories value friendships. I love the Gallagher Girls and Heist Society series.

My Top 10 Writers

I changed the topic a bit because I'm far too shy to be able to actually talk to one of my favorite writers or bloggers in person.

1. Ellen Hopkins: I love Ellen Hopkins for the way she's able to write poetry that's both easy to understand and insightful to the characters inner most thoughts. I also love that she writes about tough issues without sounding judgemental and I love that the characters are always given depth. I also love that she often writes in multiple viewpoints.My favorite books of her's are Impulse, Perfect, Tricks and Identical.
2. Natsuki Takaya: I love Natsuki Takaya because she created Fruits Basket my favorite series of all time and I find this series to have the best character development of anything I've ever encountered. i also love that there were lots of foreshadowing through out the series which makes rereading the series much more enjoyable. I just loved pretty much everything about the series and I also loved Songs to Make You Smile which is a collection of oneshots she wrote which were all delightful.
3. Rick Riordan: I love his work because it's fun and adventurous but still has depth to it and the characters he write are always a joy to read about. I also love how he's able to blend mythology with the modern world so seamlessly. My favorite series by him are Percy Jackson and the Olympians, The Heroes of Olympus and The Kane Chronicles.
4. Clamp: I love Clamp because they always come up with such interesting stories and I love that they are able to write many different genres. I also love how they almost always have magic in their series of some form and I love that the rules for magic tend to be the same throughout all their series. I love that they are able to come up with so many lovable characters and I love the way they treat love in their stories. I also love that some of their series are really happy and some of their series are really depressing I find it interesting that they can write so many different tones. My favorite series by them are Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle, Cardcaptor Sakura, Tokyo Babylon, Magic Knight Rayearth, Xxxholic, Kobato and Clover.
5. Joss Whedon: I love Joss Whedon because he created four of my favorite tv shows, Angel, Firefly, Dollhouse and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I love that he creates such interesting worlds and wonderful characters to inhabit said world. I also love that he's willing to hurt and/or kill off said characters because for some reason loosing beloved characters just makes me more emotionally invested in the show. I also love that he often pairs the supernatural or scifi elements with real life emotional problems. My favorite episodes written by him are Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Becoming Part 1&2, Innocence, Graduation Day Part 1&2,and Restless. Firefly: Serenity. Dollhouse: Unaired Pilot(Echo) and Vows.
6. Ally Carter: I love Ally Carter's writing because it's light and fun. I also love that she's able to write about teenage girls doing incredible things and having close friendships and I love that while there's romance in her series it never overwhelms the plot. My favorite series of hers are Heist Society and Gallagher Girls.
7. Bryan Fuller: I love Bryan Fuller because he creates such interesting worlds with characters that are quirky and completely lovable. I also just really that all his series seem to have a uniquic visual look to them. I love that he created Pushing Daisies and Dead Like Me(although I still have to finish that series) and I look forward to watching Wonderfalls sometime in the future.
8. Maurissa Tancharon and Jed Whedon: I love these two because they wrote some of the best episodes of Dollhouse these episodes are Belonging, The Attic and Epitaph One & Two.
9. Steven Moffat: I love Steven Moffat because he wrote some of my favorite episodes of Doctor Who as well as the BBC Sherlock series. I love that he's able to write such complicated plots but still have them make some kind of sense. My favorite episodes he wrote are from Doctor Who: The Pandorica Opens/The Big Bang, The Eleventh Hour, A Good Man Goes to War, The Girl in the Fireplace, In the Time of the Angels/Flesh and Stone  and The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances.
10. Arina Tanemura: I love that she creates series which I always find interesting and I love the characters she creates. My favorite series of her's are Gentlemen's Alliance Cross, Kami Kaze Kaitou Jeanne and Sakura Hime: The Legend of Princess Sakura.

I just really loved this title and I think that it fits the book well with the whole spy school were the girls are trained to kill among other things mixed with the trying to have a relationship with a nice normal boy.

1. Hex Hall: I've been wanting to read this book for awhile now and since I now own this book I plan to read it as soon as possible.
2. A Touch of Power:I've been wanting to read this book since I saw it's cover and I also want to read because the plot sounds interesting plus I now own this book.
3. Only the Good Spy Young: I love the first three books in the Gallagher Girls series so there's no reason for me to doubt that I'll love the fourth book as well. This is another book I own so I'll probably actually read it this fall.
4. A Clash of Kings: I love this first book in the series so I see no reason why I won't love this one and I own the book already.
5. The Mark of Athena: I'm loving the Heroes of Olympus series and I can't wait to read the third book of the series that comes out in October.
6.Entwined: I've been wanting to read this book for awhile now and since I own I thought fall would be a good time to do so.
7. Will Grayson: I own this book and I've heard great things about this book and the authors so I'm looking forward to reading it this fall.
