Top 10 Mangas

1. Fruits Basket: This series is my favorite series of anything that has ever been written and I honestly believe that no other series will ever be as perfectly written as this one was. Fruits Basket is a series that just has so many great characters and relationships and pretty much the entire series is about how those characters and relationships develop over the course of the series. I love that this series is one that starts out light but then gets darker later on but the story ends on happy and hopeful note for the characters. This series is great if you haven't read it you should because it's a wonderful story that will teach you to be a better person.
2. Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle: This series is one that has the main characters traveling through dimensions which is a concept one does not see often which makes the series stand out from the beginning. This series is one that has great characters that I can't help but to love and really great romance that almost broke the space time continuum so that right there shows you how powerful their love for one another is. The series also has great art since it was created by Clamp.
3. Cardcaptor Sakura: This is another great series by Clamp and this one is about a ten year old girl who has to capture these Clow cards in order to keep her town safe. This series is really sweet and fluffy and at it's core Cardcaptor Sakura is a story about love in all its forms and it's just a series that always makes me happy.
4. Tokyo Babylon: This series is also by Clamp but unlike Cardcaptor Sakura this story is not a happy Story in fact it's a tragic story. This series has young man that has magic powers and uses them to help people who he believes are generally good and kind at heart and through his job he sees what people do at their most cruel and selfish points which starts to chip away at his optimistic outlook on life but nothing hurts him quite as much as falling in love, it doesn't end well.
5. Gakuen Alice: This series is a story about a young girl who runs away and joins her friend at boarding school for gift children and while the story starts off fairly lighthearted things getting darker as the series goes on and more about the school is revealed.
6. Chibi Vampire: This series is a coming of age story for a young girl who is a vampire who is a reverse of what a vampire should be in that she produces too much blood rather than needing to drink blood. The series is delightful and quite a fun read with likable characters and interesting mythology.
7. Shugo Chara: This series is a magical girl series which is my favorite sub-genre of manga/anime and this series deals with a girl who puts on a false cool girl image but is forced to confront her other would be selves by her guardian characters who help her save other kids around age from loosing their dreams, the premise of the series doesn't make a whole lot of sense out of context but  I assure you this series is great.
8. Rosario + Vampire: This series is about an extremely average boy that accidently gets sent to a school for monsters and ends up unwittingly winning the hearts of quite a few of his female classmates by simply being nice to them. This series can be a bit out there but it's great fun to read.
9. Pandora Hearts: This series is a very different take on Alice in Wonderland that deals with a young boy being taken to a sort of underworld only to be saved from that world by making a deal with Alice who is someone who lives in that underworld. This series is a bit hard to sum up but the story and it's characters are really great.
10. Magic Knight Rayearth: This series is a magical girl series about three girls who get transported to another world to save it's ruler and become great friends with each other through out the series. This series has great art, good characters, an interesting plot and killer twist at the end of it's first series.

Manga Review: Pandora Hearts Vol.3

                                                  Pandora Hearts Vol.3 Review
In this volume Oz meets a young boy named Phillip who has lost his mother and has a close bond with his father. There's quite a bit of reflecting about Oz's relationship with his father, Oz's father thinks of him as a vile creature for some reason and while this clearly upsets Oz to hear such a thing when he was a lot younger Oz seems to cope with this feelings by hiding and covering them up with a smile. Soon after Oz has bonded with Philip a girl named Echo who works for the house of Nightray comes for Philip do to the escape of an illegal chain called Grimm, Oz tries to stop Echo from hurting Philip only to discover that Echo is actually after the boy's father and was only using Philip as bait to catch the chain.

By this time Alice and Gil had already arrived in the same area and Alice ends up using her powers to attack the chain which means that Philip's father is also being harmed which upsets Oz greatly. Oz then was actually to stop Alice from being able to access her powers and asked in a very emotional and uncharacteristic way why Philip's father would put himself at risk like this when he has Philip to look after his response is because he wishes to change his past. In the end Oz is unable to save Philip's father who was shot by Vincent Nightray, Oz feels very guilty about not being able to keep is promise to Philip which was that his father would return and a lot of it also had to do with Oz not wanting Philip to feel alone like he had in the past although that last part isn't something that he admits out loud.

The next part of the story of this volume is of how and Gil joined the house of Nightray. Gil joined the house of Nightray because Break told him that if he joined the house of Nightray he'd be able to use the Raven chain in order to rescue Oz from the abyss but Break also tells Gil that he'll be his spy on the inside of the Nightray family and that their relationship is essentially one of using each other to get what they want. It's also stated that Gil and Vincent are actually brothers who have both been taken in by the house of Nightray and it's implied that Vincent is mentally unstable in a dangerous way with how when he was young he was cutting up stuffed animals and Gil saw a memory flash of a bloody knife.

I overall loved this volume I thought it did I really good job of filling in character backgrounds and showing more aspects of certain characters. I also still find the artwork to be well done. Please tell me your thoughts on this volume.

Top 10 animated guys I find attractive

This list is in response to Aimee's at penmanship Smitten's list of Top 10 attractive animated guys. I would also like to mention that I only included two non-anime guys because I felt that it wasn't fair to have the whole list be made up of anime guys.

10. Prince Phillip(Sleeping Beauty): I find Prince Phillip attractive because he's actually has to do something in order to win his princess. I liked that he fought the dragon and I loved that he refused to marry any reason other than love after meeting Aurora. I also just find his character design to be attractive and matches my idea of what a prince looks like.
9. Danny Fenton(Danny Phantom): I haven't watch this show in years but I remembered that I also liked Danny as a character, because he was a bit of an outcast, was prone to be sarcastic and he had to deal with whole becoming a ghost every once in awhile. I also like his character design also I'm I prefer his human form to his ghost form even though they're really similar.
8. Miharu Rokujou(Nabari No Ou): I love Miharu because of his desire to remain apathetic even after he finds out that he's basically the chosen one of the ninja world. I love that instead of trying to fulfill this role he instead tries to continue going on with life as if nothing had change. I also love how he manipulates people by either by appearing weak or smiling a super bright fake smile, I also love that this technique seems to work everyone. Another thing I like about Miharu is his close and weirdly caring relationship he develops with Yotie over the course of the series, I love this relationship because Yotie is one of the few things that Miharu can't feel apathetic about. I also just like his character design in general.
7. Nova(Arcana Famiglia):I love Nova because he has this serious and business-like way of caring himself all the time even though he's still quite young which is something I always seem to like in a character. I also like that despite his usually stoic attitude that there are still times when he gets embarrassed and blushes. I also really like that he has blue hair.
6. Ikuto Tsukiyomi(Shugo Chara): I love Ikuto for being a sort of bad boy but not really because he's generally a good person and even he's technically work for the bad guys of the series it's clear that he's not really on that side also I love how  he neglects his job all the time as well. I also love his more playful side in which he blatantly flirts with Amu despite their age difference. I love that he plays the violin as well and I find his character design to be very good looking as well.
5. Oz Vessalius(Pandora Hearts): I find Oz to be a very interesting character because even though he has been through a lot of terrible things in his life he refuses to stop smiling. I also love that it's implied that his smiles are mostly fake because I feel that makes his character more interesting. I also like that he's alot smarter than people think he is and I love that he's protective of Alice as well even though that can cause him to be a bit scary at times. I also really like how he looks as well even though I think he looks a bit younger than 15.
4.Suzaku Kururugi(Code Geass): I love Suzaku because he wants make sure that no one else is harmed but at the same time he's hoping that someone will just kill him which just makes me feel sad for his character. I don't exactly know exactly how to explain my love for Suzaku but I've always loved him and I thought he had a good heart and did what he believed was right. I also love his character design which looks extremely similar to Tsubasa Syaoran's, except with green eyes instead of brown, I like the similarity in the looks because I love both characters.
3. Subaru Sumeragi(X TV series): I love Subaru because he's one of the kindest and saddest characters I've ever encountered. I love and feel bad for him because of how cruelly life has treated him and I love him for still helping people. I love that he'll fight to try the save the world even though he has lost all desire to continue living in it. I also love his character design because it's very pretty and I feel I should mention that I loved him in Tokyo Babylon as well but I didn't think the anime version looked very good so that's why it only says X.
2. Syaoran(Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle): First off I feel I should mention that I'm basing most of what I know about Syaoran from the manga because I didn't really like the anime series but I felt the OVAs were good so I decided it would be okay to include Syaoran on this list. I love pretty much everything about Syaoran. I love the way he loves Sakura, I love how determined he is, I love that he sometimes get all shy and embarrassed around Sakura and I love that there are times when he geeks out about the history of country their visiting. I love and worry about him because he tends to keep his problems to himself even when he probably shouldn't be.  I also love that he actually knows quite a few languages and that he has a tendency to be overly polite. I also love the way he looks as well but I think the reason I think he's so attractive has more to do with his personality than his looks.
1. Lelouch Vi Britannia/Lamperouge(Code Geass): I love Lelouch because he's very smart and knows that in order to defeat an empire as large as Brittannia one has to be ruthless. I love that although Lelouch knows he has to be ruthless to his enemies he still has many people he's unwilling to sacrifice in order to achieve his goals. I also find Lelouch to be the best looking animated boy I have ever scene which is why he tops the list although he is also a brilliant character even without factoring in his looks.

Manga Review: Pandora Hearts Vol.2

                                                      Pandora Hearts Vol.2Review
In this volume Oz, Alice and Raven start to track down illegal contractors and their chains in hopes of finding pieces of Alice's memories. In the first chapter Oz and Alice discovers what happens to the contractor once the incuse(a clock shaped mark that appears on the chest of a contractor who's in an illegal contract)makes a full turn, the person is sucked into the lowest levels of the Abyss. It's also mentioned that people enter into illegal contracts with chains in order to change the past.

In the second story of this volume when Oz, Alice and Raven return to the mansion at which Oz's coming of age ceremony took place there Oz discovers that ten years have past while he was in the Abyss and he discovers that Raven is actually Gil his loyal servant and friend from before he was suck into the Abyss and who he feared he killed at his coming of age ceremony. Gil proves to Oz that his absolute(which is his loyalty to OZ) isn't a lie while he was controlled by the same chain that took over his body at Oz's coming of age ceremony so Oz believes that Gil is basically the same as he always was and he makes sure to let him know that he still expects him to hold up his absolute which Gil agrees to.

Also in this volume the Will of the Abyss tries to convince Alice that she'll always be alone and that she wasn't even meant to be born. The Will of the Abyss also tries to convince Oz to ditch Alice and join it but Oz refuse due to the Will of the Abyss cruel words about Alice that he has heard someone say something similar to him in the past and because he feels that he should stay with Alice. Alice also gains a piece of her memory but it doesn't give a whole lot of information.

In the last chapter Break stops by to tell Oz that he may be the key to controlling the abyss which is why Pandora and the Baskervilles both want to use Oz. Break also explains that the reason he and Sharon haven't age is because there in legal contracts but Break mentions that his body will probably give out within the next year. It's also mentioned in this chapter that the Will of the Abyss is the thing that created the Abyss as it is today. At the end of the volume Oz's incuse moves for the first time which it was shown in this volume what happens when it goes a full rotation but Break also mentioned earlier in this volume that the same might not happen to Oz if he's able to find out the truth about the past.

I find the character of Oz to be my favorite because he always acts so happy and never seems to be too brothered by all the things that happen around him even though he's been given many things to worry about since the series has started. I also like that Oz is actually pretty insightful about most things and I especially like that whenever someone tries to turn him against Alice it doesn't work because he can see that they have some kind of hidden agenda. I find Oz to be very fascinating because he rarely seems to allow himself to appear sad or worried but there are a few moments were you can tell he is.

I overall loved this volume the plot and mythology continues to be intriguing and somewhat dark. I love the characters and the relationships they're forming with each other. I also look forward to finding more about everyone's past because that seems like it's going to be key to the plot. I still love the artwork as well. Please tell me your thoughts on this series.

Manga Review: Pandora Hearts Vol.1

                                                   Pandora Hearts Vol.1Review
Pandora Hearts is about a boy named Oz Vessalius who is thrown into the Abyss during his coming of age ceremony for the sin of his very existence. The story starts by telling what happened that day that led up to Oz's coming of age story which established his character and what his life was like before the whole being thrown into the Abyss thing happened. During the day Oz and his servant Gilbert stumble upon an unmarked grave in the garden. There's a watch on the grave and when Oz touches it his mind goes to a strange house filled with talking dolls about how happy the girl will be that he's back and when the girl appears she first hugs Oz and says she's glad he's back then tries to kill him saying she'd never forgive him. Oz then is brought back to the real world and realizes that he just saw that event in his mind but wonders why it felt so real.

During the middle of his coming of age ceremony a of men in hoods send Oz to the Abyss but not before Oz is at first protected by girl who's known as B-rabbit and looks like the girl from the doll house. Oz spends some time in the Abyss(which I would describe as a  hellish wonderland) and remeets the B-rabbit who's true name is Alice and the two of them escape the Abyss when Oz agrees to enter a contract with Alice.

Once back in the real world Oz is find by Sharon, Break and Raven who work for an organization known as Pandora that researches the Abyss. Oz and Alice eventually agree to work for them because they need to find the chains(monster like creature from the Abyss that try to escape the Abyss and attacks people, Alice is technically a chain but is different since she can take human form)which has part of Alice memories which she wants to find and Oz was told that her memories might explain what his sin is.

I overall loved this volume I found the characters, plot and the world created to be very intriguing. I also found it interesting that this was set in a European like place and back in time. I also enjoyed the artwork. Please tell me your thoughts on the series.
