TV Review: The Gifted: Got Your SiX(1.06)

                                         The Gifted: Got Your SiX(1.06)Review
  • I liked that we learned a bit of John's backstory about how he served in the military and that his father also served.
  • I'm not sure if it's a smart idea for them to sneak into the Federal building but I agree with what John says about how they need to start changing how they do things because Sentinel services already changed the game by turning other mutants against them.
  • I like that West a mutant boy that can create illusions seems to have a crush on Lauren.
  • I'm not surprised that Clarice was mad at John when she found out that he knew about what Sonya did with her memoires and decided not to tell her since they still needed her help.
  • I understand why Clarice left but I'm worried that her leaving might not be the thing that is safest for her.
  • I like that Caitlin finds the idea of them training the child mutants to use their powers to fight frightening but I understand what Lorna is saying about knowing how to fight being useful since a war is coming.
  • I'm not surprised by the fact that Andy volunteered himself to help out with the mission to break into the Federal building but I was a little surprised by how quickly Reed agrees to let him join in.
  • I like how Reed is using the time traveling to the mission as a way to reconnected with Andy since their relationship has been distant since long before he developed powers.
  • I thought it was interesting that Marcos was able to use his powers to blind someone from seeing what was in the back of the truck.
  • I find it interesting that the X-men chose John to lead the mutants and that they warned that a war was coming.
  • I really can't blame Reed for being a bit alarmed when Andy admitted that it felt good when he tore things apart because it's never a good thing to like destroying things and I think it makes sense that Reed worries that Andy might use is powers to hurt people considering what he just said.
  • I like that Caitlin wants to try and start up a school so that the mutant kids could have some kind of normalcy in their lives.
  • While I agree with Lorna that the kids need to learn how to fight, I don't think her training method of throwing hammers and saw blades at them is best way to do that since that could kill the kids if they don't react fast enough.
  • I liked that when Reed said that he felt like he blew it when talking to Andy about his powers that Marcos told him that he should keep talking to him about it because it's helpful to have someone to talk it about.
  • I liked that Reed and Marcos talked about what it meant to be a father and I liked that Reed told him that you don't have to be anything like your own father and that you start with the knowledge that nothing your kid does can make you love them less.
  • I dislike that Agent Turner is deciding to work with the scientist that even Sentinel services think goes too far when it comes mutants.
  • I like that Lauren talked to West about how she hid her powers for  a long time before they came here and that she told him how it felt like she was living a lie by hiding them.
  • I like that Lorna, Lauren and West worked together to make sure that Macros, Reed and Andy were able to make it passed Sentinel services safely.
  • I find it worrisome that Sentinel services doesn't seem to be following the laws anymore when it comes to tracking down mutants.
  • I like that Reed told Andy that he's always been proud of him and tells him he can tell him anything.
  • I'm worried about what Carmen will ask Marcos to do this time and I'm sad that Marcos will have to go along with what she asks since she's blackmailing him.

TV Review: The Gifted: BoXed In(1.05)

                                                 The Gifted: BoXed In(1.05)Review
  • I liked that we got to see the backstory of the Sentinel service agent so that we can understand why he is so determined to capture the mutants.
  • I liked that John told Marcos and Lorna about how Pulse was working with Sentinel services which is something that they found hard to believe.
  • I liked that when Marcos said that he would lead the drone away that Lorna insisted that she goes with him.
  • I think having so many mutants from the surrounding area come to the headquarters after Sentinel services decided to go after any place they even suspected of being a safe house for mutants shows how bad the threat of Sentinel services is.
  • I liked that when Reed united with Andy and Lauren that they were all so happy to see that they're all safe.
  • I liked that Lorna and Marcos took out the drone together using both of their powers in order to destroy it.
  • I'm not surprised that some of the other mutants aren't happy about them bringing Reed into their safe haven considering what he used to do to mutants and I liked that Reed understands that their anger at him makes sense.
  • I like that Caitlin is the one that is always helping out when someone is injured.
  • I like that Lauren understands that what they need to do is to find away to get the other mutants to trust them rather than to just run away.
  • I like that when Clarice figured out that Sonya's powers involved manipulating people's memories that she started to suspect that Sonya is responsible for her having memories of things that never really happened.
  • I like that Reed decided that the best way to make himself useful was to tell John about what Sentinel services were doing when it seemed like they had given up on the manhunt.
  • I like how happy Lorna and Marcos were when they were talking about their baby with each other for the first time.
  • I like that when Lorna decided that they should kidnap the Sentinel service agent that Marcos wasn't really on board with her plan because of how much more trouble it could get them in.
  • I like that the reason that Lorna kidnapped the agent is because she wants answers about how Sentinel services turned Pulse against them and I liked that Marcos didn't get on board with her plan until she told him that they were going to turn her against them.
  • I liked that Andy offered to use his blood to give to a mutant that was injured.
  • I like that Reed is willing to let Sentinel services capture him in order to protect the mutant underground.
  • I like that Marcos doesn't think it's possible to get information from the agent after he tells them how his daughter died and I like that this leads Lorna to idea that they need to use Sonya to get memories from him.
  • I like that Reed is willing to risk getting caught by sentinel services in order to prove to the mutants that he is on their side not Sentinel services.
  • I was a little surprised that by the time Sonya and Clarice came to where Lorna and Marcos were keeping the agent that they were surrounded by Sentinel service agents although I really shouldn't have been.
  • I liked that Lauren used her powers to stop the bleeding on a wound while Caitlin was stitching the guy up.
  • I like that when Clarice was watching Sonya use her powers on the agent that she looked uncomfortable because she suspects that she used them on her.
  • I find it a bit ironic that it seems like the only person that Sentinel services ended up truly hurting while trying to rescue their agent was there agent.
  • I liked that Sonya drew pictures of what she saw in the agent's memories and asked Reed if he recognized anything in those pictures.
  • I like that the Stucker family are just happy to be eating a meal together again and I like that Reed decided that he should stay and help the mutants by telling them what he knows about Sentinel services.
  • I liked that when Clarice confronted Sonya about messing with her memories that Sonya at least didn't lie about what she did although that understandably didn't make Clarice any less mad at her.
  • I actually felt bad for the sentinel service agent when he had to be told that his daughter had died because he lost his memory of that, it just must be really painful to have to come to terms with that again.
Please tell me your thoughts on this episode.

TV Review: The Gifted: EXit Strategy(1.04)

                                            The Gifted: EXit Strategy(1.04)Review
  • I like that the episode started with a flashback of when John along with a few other mutants were trying to break out fellow mutants from a Mutant Relocation Center because it shows how heavily guarded those places are and how dangerous trying to break someone out of there can be.
  • I'm not surprised at all that Lorna doesn't want to work with Reed at all because she obviously doesn't trust him because the last time they met he used information about her pregnancy as a way to manipulate her.
  • I like that when most of the mutants were against the idea of breaking into a prison to save Lorna and Reed that Marcos pointed out that Lorna at one point has saved everyone in this room so they owe her and I like that Marcos just makes it so clear that all he cares about is making sure that Lorna is safe.
  • I liked that Caitlin came up with the plan to try and get to Lorna and Reed while they were being moved because getting them out of prison would be too dangerous.
  • I'm worried about Marcos going back to the cartel for help on getting information on when and how Lorna and Reed are being moved because that kind of information isn't the kind that comes for free and will no doubt lead him to having to do things that he doesn't want to have to do anymore.
  • I like that John wants Sonya to tell Clarice the truth about how she put a false memory in her head and how he doesn't like that she did that because it wasn't right how she invade her mind.
  • I became even more worried for Marcos once it was made clear that his ex girlfriend is the one who is now in charge of the cartel and is surely interested in making Marcos pay as much as possible for the information that he needs.
  • I like that when Lauren heard that they need to find safely stop a prison truck that she came up with the idea that her and Andy could use their powers together to stop a prison truck.
  • I like that Reed as come to the realization that he has been wrong about the way he has seen mutants and how he has treated them in the past but I also understand why Lorna still hates him for everything that he has done in the past.
  • I like that Caitlin doesn't want her kids to be part of a plan to attack a prison truck because of how dangerous it could be for them but I like that Lauren and Andy are able to convince her that they need to take this risk.
  • I hated that Marcos had to use his power to torture a guy in order to get the information that he needed but I'm not surprised that, that was the price for the information.
  • I liked that when Clarice asked John if he ever thought about quitting the mutant underground that he tells her he does all the time but he keeps doing what they are doing because saving mutants is too important not to do.
  • I like that Clarice asks John if the memory she's been dreaming about all episode is real and that he tells her that it isn't, I also like that it's clear that he wants to tell her that Sonya put that memory in her head but considering the timing of the conversation I think it was probably for the best that he didn't tell her then.
  • I liked how Lauren realized just how much their lives have changed in the last couple of days when she realized it was Sunday and that she was suppose to make corn muffins for this thing for school.
  • I wasn't really surprised when Marcos told Sonya and Trader that he wasn't going to leave without Lorna even if things go really wrong.
  • I liked that when Andy's powers wasn't working when they needed them to that Lauren made him angry because she knows that his powers work better when he's angry.
  • I was a little surprised to see Pulse a mutant that we saw at the beginning of the episode who John says was his best friend working for sentinel services(although I assume he's being mind controlled in some way by them) and that his ability can make it so all other mutants are unable to use their powers.
  • I wasn't all that surprised that when Marcos found out that their powers weren't working that he pulled out a gun and was willing to use that to try and get him a chance at getting to Lorna.
  • I liked that Caitlin used a shot of something to knock out one of sentinel services guys so that she could get Lauren and Andy to their car and I like that she made them leave while she stayed behind to do her part in making sure they get Reed back.
  • I felt bad for John that he had to knock out Pulse so that the rest of them could have a fighting chance against sentinel services.
  • I liked how when Reed offered to let Lorna use the metal screws in his leg that she was hesitant to do so but I'm glad that she did use them in the end.
  • I like that in the end Lorna was the one that got her and Reed out of there but I liked seeing the reunions between Lorna and Marcos and between Caitlin and Reed at the end of the episode.
Please tell me your thoughts on this episode.

TV Review: The Gifted: Exodus(1.03)

                                                 The Gifted: Exodus(1.03)Review
  • I liked that the episode opened in a flashback to three years ago to when Lorna was showing Marcos around the safe haven for mutants and I liked how Lorna showed Marcos what she does with her powers just for the joy of it and then asks him to show her what he does with his powers for the joy of it and then he shows her.
  • I liked that when Lorna and Marcos kissed that their combined powers made these beautiful lights glow between the two of them.
  • I like that Marcos and Sonya where able to convince John to train Clarice so that she could use her powers to break Lorna out of prison.
  • I like that Caitlin wants to try to use her connections to lawyers to find a legal way to get Lorna out of jail because she still believes in following the law.
  • I like that Clarice is willing to help break Lorna out of jail but she doesn't think she'll be able to because her powers haven't been working right since she recovered which is probably do her fearing that her will become out of control again.
  • I like that John tells Sonya that he doesn't want her planting memories into Clarice's head that would motivate her more get Lorna back.
  • I like that when Caitlin tells Lauren and Andy that she's going to visit their uncle to see if he can help them find their dad that they both insist that they go with her because they don't want to loose her as well.
  • I like that John keeps trying to convince Clarice that she should focus on positive things rather than fear to make her powers work since that is more reliable than fear in the long term.
  • I find it interesting that Sonya wants to be with John but the two aren't together because John doesn't think that being together and working together is a good idea.
  • I liked that when they needed money for a cab that Andy suggest that he uses his power to rob a bank and I like that Caitlin and Lauren thinks he crazy for even suggesting that, I also like that he blew up the parking meters instead which they did end up using for a cab.
  • I like that John and Marcos go off to find Caitlin, Lauren and Andy because they know them getting arrested would put them all at risk.
  • I like that Lauren and Andy's cousin seems to find the fact that they are mutants and on the run from the cops to be cool.
  • I dislike that Caitlin's brother refuses to help Caitlin, Lauren and Andy in anyway because it puts his family at risk when they are his family.
  • I dislike that Reed is helping out sentinel  services find the mutant underground in order to save his family but I do like that it's clear that he feels bad about it.
  • I like that Reed ended up not leading sentinel services to the safe haven for mutants because he realized he would be putting innocent people like his family in danger if he went through with that deal.
  • I like that Lorna is willing to use her powers even if it ends up hurting her because she wants to escape so badly.
  • I liked that when John and Marcos found Caitlin at her brother's house that they just wanted to get her and Lauren and Andy out of there safely without hurting anyone even though there was an angry mob outside the house.
  • I like that the show is showing that Andy is having a hard time dealing with how people are treating him and other mutants as less than human because they're a little different.
  • I dislike that Sonya implanted memories into Clarice's head about a relationship between her and John so that she could have someone she cares enough about in order make her powers work, I think this will cause problems later on.
  • I like that Caitlin admits that Marcos was right that they can't do things through legal means anymore and I like that Marcos tells her he understand doing something stupid for someone you love.
  • I'm glad that sentinel services isn't willing to just hand people over to the scientist guy because I feel like he could be even worse than them but I dislike that it seems like Reed and Lorna are being taken to a facility were they are most likely going to be tortured.
Please tell me your thoughts on this episode.

TV Review: The Gifted: Rx(1.02)

                                                       The Gifted: Rx(1.02)Review
  • I liked that the episode open a year earlier with the Stucker family having a bowling night and I liked seeing a bit of their normal life because it shows how much has changed for them in just one episode of the show.
  • In the flashback when a young mutant girl accidently looses control of her powers because people are making fun of her I dislike that Reed tells the girl and her father that it would be better for them if they leave because they didn't do anything wrong but I did at least like that Reed doesn't think it's right that people were making fun of her just that he knows who the law will side with.
  • I really can't blame the Stucker family for wanting to go back for Reed but I'm glad that Marcos and John tells them that going bad won't help Reed, would be bad for them and what is really important right now is making sure that Clarice is okay since traveling as far as she did seems to have been bad for her health.
  • I'm worried about how Lorna is going to fair in jail were she can't use her powers due to the collar they put on her neck and because the other inmates have it out for her especially since she is a mutant.
  • I really can't blame John for being mad that Marcos went on his own on to help the Stucker family and I like that he can tell that it was because of Lorna that he did what he did.
  • I like that it turns out that Caitlin is a nurse and I like that she's trying to help Clarice but it seems like she may be too badly injured to be okay without the help of a hospital which she can't go to since she's wanted by the police.
  • I find it worrying that since Clarice is so badly injured her powers are going haywire which is putting both her life and anyone who is trying to help her lives in danger.
  • I liked that Lauren was able to close the portals that Clarice was accidently opening in order to prevent people from going through them and hurting the mutants.
  • I like that Marcos decides that he should take Caitlin with him to hospital so that they can get the medicine that Clarice needs so that she can heal.
  • I liked that Marcos questioned Caitlin whether or not her or her husband would be willing to stand up for or help out mutants if their kids weren't mutants.
  • I find it sad that Clarice was arrested for stealing food because since she couldn't pass for a normal human she wasn't able to get a job so she had to steal to survive.
  • I find it sad that very few hospitals actually allow mutants to be treated at them which just seems wrong.
  • I liked that in order to get to the medicine that Caitlin pretends that Marcos is her boyfriend and that she unwrapped his wound from earlier to make it look like he was injured so that they could get back to where patients are treated.
  • I liked that when the doctor made the assumption that mutants are more likely to be abusive that Caitlin was confused and offended that someone would think that.
  • I find it sad that the other mutant girl that Lorna meets in prison is so defeated that she doesn't even want to try to find a way to escape because she doesn't believe that there's a way it can work.
  • I like that John doesn't want to risk moving Clarice because it could hurt her even though that would be easier than evacuating all of the other mutants which is what he is making plans to do in order to keep them all alive.
  • I think it's absurd that Reed is being tried for terrorism when it's very clear that all he was trying to do was keep is family safe and I think it's cruel that they're threatening his mother who has nothing to do with anything.
  • I like that when one of the prisoners tried to harm Lorna's child that she was able to overpower her collar and use her powers to attack the other prisoner but I was sad that she was locked up in solitary because of this.
  • I find it sad that it turns out that Marcos's parents rejected him when he first showed his powers when he was thirteen and I like how he refers to Lorna as his true family because she's the one that has been there for him through out the hardest times in his life.
  • I like that Caitlin insist that she should be the one that goes in to help Clarice because she's the one that knows the proper dosage that is need to save her rather than kill her.
  • I liked that Clarice when she woke up worried that she might have hurt someone and I liked that John assured her that only property was damaged and that everyone is okay.
  • I liked that Caitlin told Lauren and Andy that she was proud of them and then promised them that they would find their dad and bring him back to them.
  • I liked that Reed realizes that sentinel services don't actually know anything that will end up getting his family captured and I liked that Reed made a deal that would make it sure that he would go down alone.
  • I'm worried about what the scientist that seems to know about mutants siblings could know that could get Lauren and Andy captured.
Please tell me your thoughts on this episode.

TV Review: The Gifted: Exposed(1.01)

                                            The Gifted: Exposed(1.01)Review
  • I liked how the episode opened with showing us how mutants are being hunted down by the cops simply for being mutants which the show us with the character Clarice.
  • I liked that John, Marcos and Lorna were looking for Clarice when she was running from the cops and that when they found her they invited her to join them and that they protected her and helped get her to safety.
  • I was sad that Lorna was captured by the police after she tried to get revenge on a cop fro shooting Marcos.
  • I liked that Reed threatened to sue the school if they didn't do anything to stop his son Andy from being bullied.
  • I like that Lorna refuses to give up any information about the other mutants after she was captured even though it is something that could end up saving her.
  • I like that Lorna pointed out to Reed that if she really wanted to kill the cops they would be dead by showing him how easy it would be for her to remove the screws from his legs.
  • I find it interesting that Andy feels so trapped in his own home that he tags along with Lauren to the dance even though he is likely to run into the kids that are bullying him because he wants to get out of the house so badly.
  • I'm not really surprised that Andy abilities manifested when they did considering the bullies had him trapped and had showers of freezing and burning hot water pouring down at him.
  • I liked that when the gym area of the school started to collapse in on itself that Lauren refused to leave without getting Andy to safety and I like that she used her own abilities to get to him and get them both out safely.
  • I like that Marcos wants to go on a mission to rescue Lorna but I also like that John won't let him since they aren't strong enough to win against an entire building worth of cops.
  • I was surprised to learn that Lauren had her abilities for three years now and that she was able to keep them secret for so long.
  • I find it sad how when Caitlin is reassuring Lauren that her dad doesn't arrested all mutants just the ones that hurt people that Andy said ones like me since he hurt people when his powers manifest because he wasn't in control of them.
  • I liked that when some people told Caitlin that they were going to take Lauren and Andy that she refused to even let them in the house and I liked that she then went on the run with Lauren and Andy.
  • I like that Reed made it clear right away that the most important thing is that Andy and Lauren are safe but I also like that he tried to figure out if Andy actually did anything wrong legally because he wants to find away to keep him out of jail.
  • The fact that Reed find Sentinel services to be frightening is worrying and the fact that them being involved makes him think that his family fleeing the country is the best course of action shows how dangerous they are.
  • I like that Lauren tells Andy how she relieved that she can finally talk about being a mutant and I like that she tells Andy that she doesn't blame him for ruining their life or anything and promises to teach him how to control his abilities.
  • I liked that Clarice thanks Marcos for helping to save her and tells him sorry that he lost Lorna while rescuing her and I like that he tells her it wasn't her fault.
  • I like that Reed called Marcos to get him and his family out of the country but I also like that Marcos was hesitant to help him considering what he does for a living.
  • I was a bit surprised to discover Lorna was pregnant but I wasn't surprised at all to find out that Marcos is the father.
  • I think that the deal Marcos has with Reed is fair with him being willing to get his family to safety but having Reed stay with him until he gets Lorna back.
  • I liked that Clarice told John about how Marcos went off on his own to help someone and I like that John then decides to go find him.
  • I wasn't all that surprised that Sentinel services was able to track down the Stucker family but I was glad that John and Clarice found them in time to help them all escape.
  • I like that Clarice was able to use a portal to get almost everyone to safety and I like that Andy was able to control his abilities for a little bit.
  • I'm worried about Reed since he was shot at the end of episode but I have a feeling that he'll live but won't be able to get back to his family for along time.
Please tell me your thoughts on this episode.

Top 5 New Fall TV Series I Want to Watch

1. While You Were Sleeping: This series is the series that I have been look forward to the most all year it's written by my favorite Kdrama writer and stars my favorite Kdrama actor which automatically made me excited for the series. This series is about a girl who can see the future in her dreams and how she works together with a guy who has just became a prosecutor to stop the bad things she sees in her dreams from happening. This is the one series on this list that I've already started watching and even though it's only been three episodes the premise has already been turned on it's head which is great and I'm really enjoying the characters and the show as a whole so far.
2. The Gifted: This is a show that is set in the X-men universe and since I've always liked the X-men that makes me interested in this series but I also like that at least two of the main characters are teenagers because I always like stories about teenagers discovering who they are and if you add super powers to the mix everything just becomes even more interesting.
3. Runaways: This series is one about teenagers discovering that their parents are super villains and then they runaway to escape them and they have powers of their own, while I haven't heard a lot about the TV show version of this series I do think that the premise sounds good and honestly what's not to love about that premise.
4. Dynasty: This show is written by the same writer as The OC and Chuck and since those two series are some of my favorite TV series of all time I thought that it would be a good idea to check out this series but I also worry the most about whether or not this series will end up being a good one.
5. Ghosted: This series is a supernatural sitcom and I thought that the trailer made the show look funny so I thought that I'd give this series a try chances are I won't end up following this series super closely since I tend to just randomly stop watching sitcoms for no real reason but who knows maybe this one will be different.
