1. Rin Sohma(Fruits Basket): I really love Rin because she isn't exactly a person who it's easy to approach and I like that exudes this kind of harsh attitude to keep people away from her and to make sure no one gets close enough to her to know her. I really love Rin more has her backstory is revealed I love that she's broken with how she dislikes being around kind people because she feels that she clings to them and she feels that they deserve better than but no matter how hard she tries to fight that impulse to cling to those kind of people there are times she can't help but to breakdown. I love that even though she doesn't show it in an easy to read fashion she cares deeply for those she loves with how she worked so hard to find away to break the curse so that Haru could be free of it.
2. Laura Wingfield(The Glass Menagerie): I love Laura because there's no character that I relate to more than her and that means a lot to me because people don't usually write characters like Laura. I love Laura because she's a person who is ruled by her social anxiety and doesn't like any kind of conflict. I love Laura because she can't seem to handle living in the real world therefore she makes her own world with her menagerie.
3. Nico Di Angelo(Percy Jackson and the Olympians): I really love Nico because he changes so much through out the series and I really loved all of the stages he goes through. I loved the adorable little boy who was obsessed with a card game and I love the boy who was filled with grief and anger and desperately trying to bring his sister back to life. I loved that he became a pretty powerful character and that while due to being the son of Hades he was somewhat dark he was also an ally to Percy in the last book of the series.
4. Momiji Sohma(Fruits Basket): I love Momiji for his cheerful optimistic personality which had remained intact despite the fact that due to the curse his mother chose to forget about his existence and because of this he has to watch his family from afar. I loved that while Momiji has a heartbreaking past he can still look on the bright side of things and I love that he wants to be strong enough to keep all of his memories because he believes a person needs all of their memories whether they'd be good or bad.
5. Rachel Elizabeth Dare(Percy Jackson and the Olympians): I just really loved Rachel because I remember really liking her personality and I liked that she was a normal human that could see through the mist and I liked that she took the whole existence of gods pretty well. I know there's more reasons I love her but it's been awhile since I read the books.
6. Jenna(Perfect): I love Jenna because she's such a mystery, she's a character that we really don't know much about and the reasons behind her actions are almost a complete mystery. I love that she has a self destructive drinking habit and I love that she seems to know exactly how to get people do what she wants them to without giving any part of herself away. I would love to read a book from her point of view because she fascinates me.
7. Machi Kuragi(Fruits Basket): I really loved Machi because she was a character that tried so hard to live up to other people expectations of perfection that when they decided that they didn't need her anymore she just became kind of at a loss with what to do with herself. I loved that she didn't know what kind of things she liked and didn't like because for the majority of her life she always trying to please other people so she never thought of what she wanted or liked. I love that now after years of trying to be perfect she can't stand to see anything perfect like freshly fallen snow or an extremely clean classroom and that she feels the need to destroy that perfection. I love that she eventually does develop things that she likes and that she does get to feel that she matters to someone even though she's far from perfect.
8. Zoe Nightshade(Percy Jackson and the Olympians): I just really loved that Zoe was this fierce warrior and that she did grow quite a bit over the course of the one book that she appeared in. I also really loved how Zoe went on the quest knowing that she would die and did so with such dignity.
9. Faye Chamberlin(Secret Circle): I just really love that Faye is a bitchy mean girl who has magic powers and uses those powers in the exact way you'd expect that kind of person to use them. I also love that she has vampire kittens although I think there just called that and aren't actually vampires like Diana's hair isn't actually sliver but is described that way.
10. Luna Lovegood(Harry Potter): I love Luna because she sees the world very differently and speaks rather oddly, I like that she comes off a bit crazy and I just really love her as a character even though she doesn't show up until the 5th book.

Top 10 Fantasy Book characters
1. Percy Jackson(Percy Jackson and the Olympians/Heroes of Olympus): I love Percy because he's very heroic with how he cares about his loved one more than anything and how he always looks out for them. I also love that he's very sarcastic and his internal monologue is very entertaining to read as well. He's just a character that I love to read about and one I always wish well.
2. Daenerys Targaryen(A Song of Ice and Fire): I really love her for her character growth in the first book from being a fragile girl who was used for her brother's advantage to becoming more confident in herself and finding her place as the Khaleesi of the Dothraki. How she was able to overcome great loss at the end of the book and with that loss she devote herself to more than ever to getting the Iron Throne and that she brought dragons to life and walked through fire without being burnt. I just loved her arc in the first book and I love the confidence and strength she has gained from her experiences.
3. Sansa Stark(A Song of Ice and Fire): Sansa was a character that I loved right away because I just understood where she was coming from I love that she wants be everything that a proper lady of her world should be I love that she believes in the songs, enjoys things being pretty, always remembers her courtesies and enjoys life at court when she first gets there. I was of course extremely sad for her when all of her ideals she ever believed in where torn away from her with her father's death. I love how Sansa is able to survive in Kings Landing after her father's death because if she says one wrong thing she could be dead. I love how Sansa is at times able to use position of being close to Joffrey in order to trick him into sparing somone's life. I love Sansa most of all for still believing in basic human kindness despite her situation.
4. Faye Chamberlin(Secret Circle): I love Faye for being this delightfully bitchy character who just seems to love cause trouble, I just really love her character and ever part of the books she's in.
5. Sam Roth(Wolves of Mercy Falls series): First off I want to point off that I haven't read the last book of the series yet. I love that Sam likes to come up with song lyrics in his head, that he can appreciate smaller things and that what he wants most of all is to just stay human. I also find him very interesting because of his past where he was very emotional traumatized and how he still isn't over that trauma and how it still effects some of the things he does. I honestly find his past to be one of the most interesting things about him because there's mentions of how quiet he was or how he would only eat a certain thing which is an odd form of behavior I find interesting. I just really love Sam because he seems like this sweet yet emotional damaged guy.
6. Nico Di Angelo(Percy Jackson and the Olympians/Heroes of Olympus): I love Nico because I feel his character changes a lot over the course of the first series with starting off as an excited young boy obsessed with a card game to someone who would do anything to get his sister back and how he was anger blamed Percy even though it wasn't his fault to someone much wiser and confident in his abilities yet he still doesn't fit in anywhere even though he became an allie to Percy and all of his friends he still doesn't quite belong.
7.Cole St.Clair(Wolves of Mercy Falls series): Cole St.Clair is an incredible interesting character to me with how he's this former rock star who has treated pretty much everyone around him like crap in the past, he sleeps with tons of girls and breaks lots of hearts and has experimented with every kind of drug he could get his hands on basically Cole's not a nice guy to be around. Now why I love Cole is that he hates himself for being that guy and he just wants to get out of his mind because all he seems capable of doing is hurting people which is why he choose to be a wolf but the problem is he can't seem to stay a wolf. I love Cole because I find him interesting and I also love that he is actually really smart as well and that his viewpoint is very entertaining to read as well.
8.Alice(Alice in Wonderland): I love Alice for being curious and that she takes in the strange world of Wonderland with such easy and I love that she sees things differently than most people do.
9.Chloe Saunders(The Darkest Powers series): I love that Chloe sees the world in terms of movies and she uses the knowledge of movies to guide her own life. I love that she knows how to handle being locked up somewhere and how to find a way to escape from that kind of situation.
10. Luna Lovegood(Harry Potter): I love Luna for being delightful yet crazy with how she sees the world so differently from everyone else.
Let me know if you'd like me to make a list for favorite fantasy tv or manga/anime characters as well.

Top 10 Female Characters of 2012
1. Caroline Forbes(Vampire Diaries): Caroline continued to be my favorite character on the show this year and I continued to love of her for her optimistic personality and being a good friend. Although Caroline is an overall cheerful character she had to deal with some hard ships this year such as facing the fact that she's never going to actually grow up and loosing her father both of these things made me sad for her but I also think she handled these things pretty well. Caroline also dealt with Klaus becoming attracted to her and I love how she dealt with this situation by using their moments together to tell him he has to become a halfway decent person before she even considers him a romantic option and she of course distracts Klaus often for the good of the team because she's also been about helping out her friends. I really loved seeing more of Caroline's control freak nature in "My Brother's Keeper" at the Miss Mystic Falls pageant because sadly we don't see that side of her personality often since she became a vampire and I also loved how against Elena getting together with Damon she is because Dam treated her horrible when they were a couple and Caroline is trying to protect Elena from getting in a situation like that. I also love that the show brought back Caroline's friendship with Stefan this season and I continue to love her and Tyler as a couple.
2. Emily Thorne/Amanda Clarke(Revenge): I love Emily for being someone who is very driven by vengeance but is also smart about how she goes about seeking it, I love that she plans and I love that seeks to destroy peoples lives rather than to kill them. I love that Emily hides from the world behind
this sweet facade as the girl next door and that she pulls off this role flawlessly even though she's really plotting the destruction of almost everyone around her. I love that she's damaged by her past and that she has trust issues because of it. I really enjoy how she's able to fight pretty well but that isn't the skill set she uses in revenge schemes.I also love that despite being pretty closed off emotionally she still does care for some people although she isn't always great at showing it. I always enjoy watching her take downs and I'm always hoping that things turn out the best for her which I think is a good thing to feel about the main character of the show.
3. Rebekah Mikaelson(Vampire Diaries): I personally believe that Rebekah was one of the best things about season 3 and I love her for her desire to live the life of a normal high school girl despite being over a thousand years old because even though she's been alive so long she never really got a chance to live her life. I love that Rebekah can be very vengeful to the people who wronged her such as her goal of killing Elena after she woke up from the time Elena literally stabbed her in the back or she drained all the vervain out of Damon through torture after she found out he used her and invaded her mind therefore she decided to invade his. I also love that even though she can be bitchy and vengeful she can also be vulnerable and she's forever looking for true love. I really love her crush and Matt because he's one of the nicest and most normal guy on the show and I think that Rebekah wanting to be with someone like that says a lot about her. I also loved how she walked out on Klaus this year for not appreciating her despite the fact she's the one whose been with him through everything. I like the friendship she seemed to have with April and I'm looking forward to seeing how that and her character develops in the second half of the season.
4. Sansa Stark(Game of Thrones): I spent this season of Game of Thrones both admiring and feeling bad for Sansa. I felt bad for Sansa because she was in an awful situation one in which she could have been killed for saying the wrong thing, one in which Joffrey would punish her for her brother Rob's victor on the battlefield and one in which she's basically the Lannister's prisoner but she isn't aloud to act like it and she isn't even aloud to express her desire to see her family again. I admire Sansa greatly for being able to say just the right thing so she won't get punished and for being able keep herself from breaking down in front of anyone even though it's clear that there are times she wants to. I also admire her for being able to use her position in order to trick Joffrey into certain things such as in the first episode of the season when she convince Joffrey not to kill the knight but to keep him as a fool or to get Joffrey fight in a position in battle that is more dangerous, I love that she was able to do both of these things with just a few well placed words and that she has an effect on things despite being a position were she should be powerless I like that she isn't completely. I also love that despite the horrible situation she is going through and despite knowing not to trust in people to be good people that she still believes in human decency which is something many people would have given up on in her position. I love Sansa for being able to survive her situation in more ways than one in both the literal survival and spiritual survival with how she hasn't given up on humanity as a whole.
5. Faye Chamberlin(Secret Circle): I really love Faye for being this bitchy girl who just really wanted to have her own magic just so she could use it for whatever she wanted whenever she could. I also love that despite not being the nicest person around she still really cares for certain people such as Melissa and I personally really loved the friendship between Faye and Melissa. I also really ended up liking her relationships with Lee and Jake which caught me a bit by surprise. I just overall love Faye and I'm sad that I won't be able to see her on screen anymore.
6. Daenerys Targaryen(Game of Thrones): I love Daenerys for remaining the strong Khaleesi she became through out last season and I love that she became very protective of her dragons and her people. I love that she has became determined to make it to Westroes and to claim the Iron Throne for herself and I love that she doesn't want to have to marry someone else in order to get to that position. While I find her story less exciting than her story last season due to the lack of progress she made in getting closer to reach her goal, I still always loved watching her scenes because I really love her character.
7. River Song(Doctor Who): It may seem a bit strange to have River on my list this year since she only actually appeared in one episode of series 7 but I just end up loving her character more and more each time she appears on the show. I love River because she has this fun and flirty personality and I just find her really charming. I also love her because she has this emotional strength to her that I really admire which is something I really notice in this years episode with how she says that she never lets the doctor sees the damage because she knows how it upsets him and how she kept herself together so well while having her parents disappear from her life forever.
8. Cersei Lannister(Game of Thrones): I really love Cersei as a character and I know that may seem a bit strange because she has done some awful things but I just kind of always loved her since I started watching the series. I really loved watching her character this season with how she trying to control Joffrey and rule the kingdom in way in which she won't have to loose everything she has and how these things seem impossible with how she can't control Joffrey at all since he has become king. I really enjoyed seeing the more vulnerable side of Cersei this season because it just helped me understand her character a bit more clearly. I also really enjoyed Cersei's relationship with Sansa because there are moments were see Cersei can empathizes with Sansa's situation but most of the time it seems like she has a certain twisted pleasure in seeing Sansa suffer much in the way that she had suffered in the past. I overall find Cersei to be a very interesting character and I'm looking forward to learning more about her.
9. Juliette Barnes(Nashville): Juliette is a character that surprised me, when I first watched the pilot episode I never would have thought that she'd end up being my favorite part of the show. I really love how her bitchy side is just mostly there to cover up her vulnerable side. I love how she wants to be taken seriously as singer and song writer and that her career isn't all about making money or going to parties like some people don't know her may think. I felt really bad for her with how she grew up with a mother who was a drug addict and she's never really had any real friends so the concept that someone would like her for who she is, is entirely foreign to her. I also really love her music as well.
10. Lydia Martin(Teen Wolf): I loved Lydia this season as well as last for being that mean popular girl who is actually really smart and I also love to see her on screen. I felt really bad for her because she seemed to be slowly loosing her sanity all season and no one would tell her the truth about any of the supernatural stuff. I'm really glad that she is now in the know and hope that this will allow for her to have more screen time and character develop next season.

Top 10 Book Characters
1. Charlie(Perks of Being a Wallflower): He just has this way of thinking that comes off as sweet, innocent and yet wise. I just love that he truly wants everyone to be happy and that he doesn't like to place blame on someone when something bad happens. I also like that he also struggles with some form of depression at times because it gives him more depth and the thoughts that come out when he's in this condition are some of my favorites. I also like that he's a bit of an outcast and that he has a tendency to over think things. I love Charlie mainly for the way he thinks which is why he's also my favorite narrator.
2. Percy Jackson(The Percy Jackson and the Olympians series): I love Percy for basically having all of the qualities of a good hero, being brave, his family and friends safety are the most important thing to him and he's generally a nice person. I also like that while he has the qualities of the hero he also very much a teenager as well with how he makes mistakes and doesn't always think things through. I also love that he has this sarcastic sense of humor that really comes across while reading his thoughts through the narration.
3. Nico Di Angelo(The Percy Jackson and the Olympians series): Nico is pretty much tied with Percy but Percy got ranked higher because he's the main character. I've loved Nico since I first met him in The Titan's Curse as an adorable boy who is obsessed with this card game but is personality changes quite a bit in through out the series. I loved him in the The Battle of the Labyrinth when he was trying to bring his sister back from the dead and hanging out with this ghost guy. I loved him of course in the final book as well and I like that in the last two books that Percy mentions that even though Nico is younger than him he kind of scares him probably due to him being the son of Hades.
4. Laura Wingfield(The Glass Menagerie): I love Laura for being one of the few fictional characters that I can actually say that I relate to. I love her for being this painfully shy girl that rather play with her menagerie and create her own imaginary world than face the really one.
5. Luna Lovegood(The Harry Potter series): I love her for being delightfully crazy and I just get really excited anytime she shows up. I also like that she's a Ravenclaw.
6. Alice(Alice in Wonderland/Through the Looking Glass): I love Alice because she sees the world differently the most people and I love the way she takes everything that happens in Wonderland like well it's a little bit odd but I guess that's just how things are here.
7. Tony(Impulse): I love him because he had quite a bit of depth and I loved the way he narrated things. I also like that he thought things could get better and I like that he seemed to be very friendly.
8. Connor(Impulse): I loved the way he narrated and I thought his story was interesting. I also liked that it kind of seemed like there was not really any hope for him that things would get better once he goes home. I don't really know how to explain why I love him at the moment.
9. Ginger(Tricks): I love Ginger because she seems to have a good head on her shoulders and I love that she knows were to draw the line. I also like how she loves and takes care of her younger siblings and I love that even though she's had a hard life she doesn't turn to drugs or alcohol for comfort.
10. Faye Chamberlin(The Secret Circle series): I love her being the most entertaining kind of bitch there is and I also love that she's a witch on top of it. I love the way it's described that she looks and how she has this rebellious nature. I also love the way she's introduced by reading a poem and than lighting it on fire in the middle of class. I love her in both the books and the TV show although she's quite different in the show.
2. Percy Jackson(The Percy Jackson and the Olympians series): I love Percy for basically having all of the qualities of a good hero, being brave, his family and friends safety are the most important thing to him and he's generally a nice person. TV Review: Secret Circle:Beneath(1.08)
Secret Circle:Beneath(1.08)Review
- I was glad to learn that Dawn and Charles are back to trying to get their magic back and I'm glad they have a crystal again.
- I found it interesting that Faye's Grandfather's magic was able to lead them to his body.
- I'm glad that the circle is taking the threat of the witch hunters seriously. I also loved that Adam doesn't trust Jake because it's true that he's untrstworthy.
- For some reason I kind of like the idea of Cassie and Jake even though I hate Jake.
- I really enjoyed seeing Charles being all badass again and I like his reasons for disliking Jane. I'm also curious how controling Jane's memory is going to work out.
- I still really like Adam and Diana and I hope they get back together someday.
- I thought that Phoebe Tonkin did a great job in the scenes when Faye was out in the rain and when she told her Mom that her Grandfather died.
- I was sad that Melissa wasn't in this episode.
