TV Review: Dream High

                                                            Dream High Review
Dream High is about a group of high school students at a preforming arts school that is known for having the highest number of students make their debuts on the K-pop scene after graduating from that school and them all working on achieving their dreams. Our main character Go Hye-mi is one of the few people who is trying to get into the school not because she wants to be a k-pop star but because she needs to become one in order to make money in order to pay back her father's debts and to do so she has to give up her dreams of attending Julliard and become an opera singer. While Hye-mi is very talented she is an elitist snob when it comes to music and this cause her to fail her audition and because of this she turns on her best friend Yoon Baek-hee who while less talented than her is someone who isn't a snob and is someone who actually willing to try her hardest to achieve her dream. Baek-hee becomes a rival to Hye-mi once she sees how Hye-mi turned on her and she has pretty much all of her classmates support since Hye-mi since the audition was on video for everyone to see which causes problems later on when Hye-mi is later on accepted into the school due to being one of the director's three picks of students to accept regardless of their audition.

The two other students who were picks of the director's were Jin-guk who is more a dancer and rapper than a singer and he comes across has a delinquent but he's actually a really good guy that does try to see the good in most everyone he just has a tough exterior. Jin-guk is also the illegitimate son of a father who wants to make his way in politics who refuses to acknowledge his son and wants him to get out of the country but all Jin-guk wants is to be able to have a relationship with his father. The third of the director's picks is Song Sam-dong  a kind hearted country boy who despite having no formal is quite a talent singer because he's so good at picking up on how to sing or play songs just by hearing the notes. Since Sam-dong is reluctant to leave his mom Hye-mi ends up convincing him to come to the school by telling him that she likes him because all three of the directors picks have to come to school for any of them to be allowed to come to school.

Hye-mi, Jin-guk and Sam-dong are put in the college prep class because the school doesn't really want them to succeed which also means that their not allowed to take any of the preforming arts classes. Since they aren't allowed to take the preforming classes at school they have to work on their preforming outside of school and they have to work much harder than their fellow classmates just to be allowed to take the same classes they do. Shortly after school starts Kim Pil-sook an overweight girl with a beautiful voice is demoted to the college prep class because she couldn't loose weight as fast as her teacher wanted her to so she also has to work much harder with the rest of college prep class to achieve her dreams.

The romances storylines in this series are also delightful with both Jin-guk and Sam-dong having feelings for Hye-mi during the series and Hye-mi actually ends up having feelings for both guys at different times through out the series which is pretty uncommon in K-dramas. Despite their being a bit of love triangle it isn't something that ever takes over the plot of working hard to make their come true but it does allow for plenty of sweet moments between both pairings through out the series. The other romance in the series is between Pil-sook and Jason who is the best performer in their class who Pil-sook instantly fell for and admires from a far at first. Pil-sook is convinced that Jason likes her too and given that he is especially nice to her and that wants to sing with no one but her she's probably right but it takes a long time for him to admit he likes her back because he's afraid of how much she likes him. The two of them are actually really cute together and they take almost as long as the main couple to get together and they have just as much development.

Overall I love this series I think that it's a great story with great characters and I think that series has a lot of heart which makes it heartbreaking when a character doesn't succeed and heartwarming when they do succeed. There is also a lot of great singing and dancing shown throughout the series which is to be expected. This series is one that has a great story and it's story is told with so much warmth and earnestness that you can't help but to feel for the characters at every turn. Please tell me your thoughts on the series in comments below.

TV Review: Scream: Halloween/Halloween II(2.13-14)

                               Scream: Halloween/Halloween II(2.13-14)Review
  • I'm just writing one review of these two episodes because on Netflix it's just one episode, so I think it's easiest just to review it this way.
  • I was happy that Kieran was sentenced to life in prison and I liked that the cops that were in charge of watching him just told him what a sick person he was.
  • I liked that when the new killer killed one of the cops and let Kieran go that he ended up killing Kieran rather than really helping Kieran escape like Kieran thought he was going to.
  • I like that Emma's mom is trying to get Emma to visit colleges so that she can think about her future and find a way to move on from everything that happened in the past year.
  • I liked that after Brooke heard about Kieran dying that she went over to Emma's house to see if she was okay and I liked that when Emma heard how Kieran died that she said he got off easy.
  • I like that Noah and Gustavo had made a comic book together about the Lakewood killings and I like that the comic book company want Noah to write about another true killing spree which is the one by Anna Hobs a girl from long a go who went crazy one night and killed her parents and the family they worked for.
  • I like that the comic executive is paying for a trip to the Island for Noah and Gustavo to do research on their next comic, Gustavo is a lot more committed to the idea of this story than Noah is. I also liked that they invited their friends to come along with them on the trip.
  • I disliked how the media kept asking Emma and Brooke questions while they walked into school.
  • I like that Audrey has a new girlfriend Gina who works at the movie theater and likes horror movies, I'm glad that Audrey moved on and is happy.
  • I like that girls are mad that Noah and Gustavo didn't mention they were going to the island to research a murder since they wanted to go on the trip to get away from all that.
  • I liked that Audrey called her girlfriend to tell her that she found a crystal unicorn because she knows how much she loves him.
  • I liked that we learned that Brooke's mom is back and that she's planning on going to NYU.
  • I'm sad that Brooke and Gustavo are having a bit of a fight because Gustavo believes she doesn't want him to go to New York with her when she does.
  • I like that Audrey is trying her best to figure out how Emma is dealing with everything that has happened.
  • I find it interesting that despite his love for horror stories that Noah insisted that he writes real stories not ghost stories.
  • I like that Audrey tries to play matchmaker with Emma and this guy named Alex.
  • I find it interesting that shortly after they all arrive on the island the museum guy is murdered by the weapons used in the Anna Hobs ghost case.
  • I like that the girls all talked about their relationship issues and I liked that they gave each other good advice.
  • I find it interesting that Alex's family is the ancestors of the family that was murdered by Anna Hobbs.
  • I don't like how Gustavo flirted with the lands keeper a girl named Billie in order for her to tell them more about Anna Hobbs legend.
  • I actually found the story of Anna Hobbs to be a pretty interesting one but I also like that Noah is worried about the story not being true because he doesn't want to continue spreading a story that is alive.
  • I really like that Emma and Alex seem to have so many things in common with their backgrounds.
  • I like that Gustavo told Brooke how he feels sometimes she doesn't really want to be with him and I like that Brooke reassured him that wasn't true.
  • I find it interesting that it took two people getting killed before anyone noticed that people have been murdered.
  • I find it really weird and creepy that the killer called Emma and told her that she'd never get away from him.
  • I like that Audrey is suspecting the comic executive who is desperate for a new best seller that he would combine two different killing spree legends because I suspect that guy as well.
  • I was surprised when Audrey's girlfriend Gina showed up on the island.
  • I like how Emma wants to ask Alex for help to get off the island since they don't want to stay there when a killer's on the loose.
  • I liked that Gina was freaking out over the whole ordeal and that Audrey just kept comforting her.
  • I was sad that it turned out that someone stole Alex boat so they couldn't escape but I wasn't surprised by that since there was still a lot of time left in the episode at that point.
  • I liked that when they got to the mansion that Gustavo told Gina all about the legend of Anna Hobbs which just made her more freaked out and I liked that Audrey told her to cut it off.
  • I like that Noah and Gustavo planned to try to use an old radio to contact the police since the phones are all down.
  • I liked that Emma told Alex about everything that happened and I liked that Alex pointed out that that explains why they all seemed so calm with whatever they're dealing with.
  • I disliked that Audrey suspected Gina of murder and Gina was understandable mad at Audrey for this and Gina accused Audrey of keeping her at arms length.
  • I liked how when the comic executive showed up and Audrey was very for accusing him of being the killer that Alex diffused the situation and then locked him a room by himself so he couldn't hurt anyone if he's the killer.
  • I felt bad for Noah when he was blaming himself for what is happening since they came to the island because he had writers block and I liked that Gustavo told him that he's being pretty self involved there in his way of telling Noah that this isn't his fault.
  • I kind of like that Gina is jealous of Audrey and Emma's relationship because of how Audrey always chooses Emma over her.
  • I liked that Gustavo told Noah that problem Noah is having isn't really writers block but survivors guilt and I like that while Noah feels bad about profiting out off of murder that Gustavo has no such problem.
  • I was so disappointed to learn that Alex was the killer but I wasn't all that surprised that he was because I felt that there were a lot of hints to this but I didn't want it to be true.
  • I liked that when they went into the master bedroom that Noah started geeking out about the Anna Hobbs mystery and I like that Audrey told him to focus on the murders that are happening now and in this century.
  • I liked that they found a secret passage way behind the bookcase that lead to the caretakers home and this led Noah to discovering that Anna Hobbs isn't the actual killer in the murders that took place a century ago.
  • I liked that it turned out that Alex isn't really Alex instead he's some guy named Tom whose parents were murder and he was left with their bodies for four days and that he went on the killing spree because he believes him and Emma are the same and that their meant to be together.
  • I liked that Emma played Tom to think that she was on the same page as him long enough for her to escape.
  • I liked that Audrey told Gina that while Emma is an important part of her life and that's never going to change that her relationship with Emma and her relationship with Gina are two different things so they don't have to compete.
  • I liked that it was decided that Gustavo will be going to New York with Brooke next year.
  • I find it interesting that the killer that killed Kieran is still on the loose at the end of the episode.
Please tell me your thoughts on this episode and the season as a whole.

TV Review: The Heirs

                                                           The Heirs Review
The Heirs is a Korean drama about Kim Tan an illegitimate son of a wealthy and powerful businessman who falls in love with a poor and hardworking girl named Cha Eun-sang who's mother happens to be Tan's mother's maid. In this drama the differences in economic classes is a very big deal to everyone around Tan and Eun-sang which causes a whole bunch of problems in their developing relationship with Tan's father trying to make sure the relationship doesn't succeed as well as the students at their school trying to make sure that Eun-sang knows that she doesn't deserve to be in a relationship with someone who is of a higher social class than she is. There is also another boy that likes Eun-sang named Choi Young-do is the school bully and ex-friend of Tan's and because his attempts at flirting with Eun-sang comes across more as bullying she assumes that he's just messing with her to get to Tan so she doesn't take him seriously until he confesses his feelings for her but she of course rejects because she loves Tan and because bullying someone is not the way to get to someone's heart. Despite everyone trying to keep Tan and Eun-sang from being together the two can't help falling and staying in love with each other and in the end their able to be together.

This drama is one that also has a bunch of little sub-plots that revolve around the rather large supporting cast that the show has. One of my favorite sub-plots was the relationship between Eun-sang's best friend Yoon Chan-young and his possessive girlfriend Lee Bo-na who Chan-young doesn't find possessive at all but rather he thinks that she's really cute and the two of them are basically this super sweet and cute side couple that are sickeningly in love with each other, honestly these two were my favorite part of the series. Another sub-plot I liked quite a bit was Eun-sang's mom and Tan's mom ended up developing an odd friendship with each other that I found oddly sweet.

Overall I thought this drama was okay while it certainly wasn't one of my favorites it wasn't a bad show either it was just one that I found myself board with when it was making things angsty but was actually quite fun when the show allowed itself to be fun and fluff it just didn't allow itself to be that very often. I will say that I actually that the Eun-sang and Tan were a good couple and I did enjoy them when they were allowed to be happy together it's just that I got tried of the contrived reasons to keep them apart. Please tell me your thoughts on this series.

TV Review: Teen Wolf: Ghosted(6.06)

                                                 Teen Wolf: Ghosted(6.06)Review
  • I found it interesting that Lydia seemed be enter Cannan in her mind through a mirror and that she was shown Cannan on the day that the ghost riders came through and made the town a ghost town.
  • I liked that now that Scott has heard Stiles voice that he's sure of who Stiles is even if he doesn't remember him and I liked that he told the Sheriff about Stiles contact them and Stiles being the Sheriff's son but I was sad that the Sheriff refuses to believe him.
  • I like that Malia tried to research about Cannan before they went there and I liked that Lydia pointed out that all they really needed to know was where is was.
  • I'm worried about Chris since he seems to have been infected by the ghost riders whips and there doesn't seem to be any safe way to get rid of the infections.
  • I like that Scott, Lydia and Malia are all going to Cannan to try and figure out why Stiles sent them there. I like that Scott and Malia point of that there doesn't seem to be any other living people in town other than themselves.
  • I find it creepy how the town of Cannan seems look the same as it did the day that the ghost riders ran through town.
  • I find it creepy and sad how Malia  hallucinated the bodies of her adopted mother and sister and that she then hallucinated Theo shooting her and their bodies trying to drag into the ground with them.
  • I find it interesting that Liam and Hayden are going to be working with the new teacher who is obviously up to no good on how to stop the ghost riders from taking any more people.
  • I thought the hallucination that Scott had about his mom with a hole in the back of her head to be quite frightening.
  • I like that Melissa is saving Chris's life using herbs because he told that conventional medicine would end up killing him.
  • I find the one lady that has been left in Cannan to be somewhat frightening since she seems to be very powerful but absolutely refuses to accept the reality of the ghost riders situation and refuses to let them leave.
  • I think that Liam's idea of getting Theo back in order to use him absorb lightening in order to try and control where the ghost riders go is a bad idea because Theo is not someone they can trust at all.
  • I liked how Melissa pointed out that Chris doesn't call anyone by a nick name and that he also goes by his last name, I just found the moment funny.
  • I found it freaky how Lenora seems to have somewhat brought an image of her dead son into her home.
  • I like that Lydia does her best to try and reason with Lenora in order to figure out what she knows about the ghost riders and how she's still there and that she discovers that she's a banshee which tells us a lot about Lydia's potential to be powerful.
  • I liked that Noshiko gave Liam Kira's sword so that he could release Theo not because she agreed with his choice but that she felt like Kira would want to help her friends any way she could if she was here.
  • I found it scary how it seemed that the little boy is actually a very real threat to Scott and Malia even though he shouldn't be since he is also powerful.
  • I find it interesting that it seemed like Lenora's son was brought back by the ghost riders and I have to wonder why that happened.
  • I didn't think that Liam did a good job at negotiating with Theo since he promised Theo that he could kill anyone he wanted if he helped them which is something you should never promise.
  • I find it interesting that Theo knows stuff about the wild hunt and him still having memories of Stiles could be helpful even if they can't trust him.
  • I found it scary how the little boy tried to make Scott and Malia drowned just like he did in order to keep them with him.
  • I like that Lydia was able to get through to Lenora enough to get her to accept reality and tell her what she knew and I'm glad that she let them leave but I was sad that she couldn't leave her son even though she knows he isn't real now.
  • I find it interesting that Theo pointed out that the ghost riders usually don't stay this long and that the only reason they would is because they are stuck for some reason.
  • I find it interesting and creepy that the people who are taken by ghost rider become ghost riders after the ghost riders leave town and then they disappear for good.
  • I like that Scott is upset that Liam brought Theo back because who wouldn't be.
  • I feel bad for Lydia when she worries that she'll be left all alone like Lenora was.
  • I like that while Scott restrains himself from attacking Theo that Malia shows no such restraint and goes to attack him.
  • I'm very curious about what the Sheriff found behind the wallpaper since he looked shocked by whatever he found.
Please tell me your thoughts on this episode.

TV Review: Timeless: The Capture of Benedict Arnold(1.10)

Timeless: The Capture of Benedict Arnold(1.10)Review
  • I liked that Agent Christopher asked Lucy to keep a file on her children in the time machine because she doesn't want to loose her children and not even remember them.
  • I liked that when Mason turned up at Jiya's apartment to have a private talk with Rufus that Rufus pointed out that it was her apartment so she shouldn't have to leave.
  • I found it a bit odd that Mason came over drunk to talk to Rufus about how he never wanted to things to get this bad and that Ritten House knows that Rufus has been tampering with the recordings and that if he doesn't do it right on the next mission he can't protect Rufus and his family from them anymore.
  • I liked that when dealing with Benedict Arnold's capture that Flynn's plan could be to help Arnold succeed in his plans or kill George Washington before he even became president or something else, I just like that there were so many possibilities to what Flynn's plans could detail.
  • I liked that when Lucy mentioned that Arnold once spent 80,000 dollars on a bottle of wine that Wyatt asked who does that and Rufus says a douche would.
  • I was surprised when Flynn actually helped out Lucy, Wyatt and Rufus by saying that they were spies rather than traitors so that Washington's men would let them go because he wants them to help him with something.
  • I liked that Lucy, Wyatt and Rufus all don't trust Flynn but since Flynn's true goal is to stop Ritten House before it even gets started they can see how it might not be such a bad idea to work with him on this one since it would be the end of Flynn traveling through time and messing up history and the end of Ritten House.
  • I was surprised that Flynn somehow knows who killed Wyatt's wife and I can see why this piece of information would get Wyatt willing to work with Flynn briefly.
  • I was surprised to find out that Flynn is aware that Rufus has been recording the missions.
  • I like that even after they agree to work with Flynn that Lucy, Wyatt and Rufus are still talking about whether or not it's a good idea to help him and they all seem pretty unsure of if it is.
  • I liked how Lucy convinced Arnold that he could trust him and that she made him believe that he has met Wyatt before.
  • I disliked that Flynn just started killing people because he wanted to talk to Arnold alone since he's involved with Ritten House. I liked that when everyone became chaotic and Wyatt made sure to keep Arnold from leaving and Rufus asked what was happening that Wyatt told him he was managing the situation.
  • I was surprised when Flynn told Arnold that they were time travelers but I wasn't surprised that he didn't believe him.
  • I liked that while threats of violence didn't get Arnold to talk but Lucy using what she knew about Arnold in order to empathsis with him did get him to tell him what he knew about Ritten House.
  • I was surprised to learn that Ritten house was founded by just one person which makes it a bit easier to take it down.
  • I liked that Flynn appealed to Arnold's love for his wife in order to get them a meeting with David Rittenhouse.
  • I liked that Rufus has decided that now all that they have to do is take down one man in order to free himself and his family from Ritten house that he is okay with that.
  • I like that Wyatt is also okay with killing one evil man in order to save the lives of hundreds of people.
  • I like that Lucy is worried about the affect that destroying Rittenhouse could have on history and I liked how Wyatt told her that history isn't an excuse to sit back and do nothing when they can something to protect innocent lives. I like that Wyatt told Lucy that he knows her well enough by now that he knows what she really believes in is saving lives.
  • I liked Wyatt made sure that Lucy was okay without what they were about to do before he answered if they were ready or not, I just like that he left the decision up to her.
  • I find it sad how Flynn plans to only see his family one last time if he succeeds in bringing them back because he knows he's become someone else by doing horrible things to bring back his family and he doesn't want to bring the type of person he has become into his home.
  • I liked that when Arnold said it would be best not to bring everyone to the meeting that Flynn said these are idiotic unenlightened times but he understands so they won't bring Rufus with them.
  • I find it odd that David Rittenhouse seems to be obsessed with clocks and he makes his son make a whole lot of them.
  • I find it a bit disturbing how David Rittenhouse's son, John recited his father's ideals about what Ritten house is and how most people shouldn't have a voice but be controlled from the shadows.
  • I was very worried when David Rittenhouse figured out that they were there to kill them and it was chillingly the way he killed Arnold like it was nothing.
  • I liked that Rufus came to rescue them right before David Rittenhouse was going to kill them.
  • I found it oddly enjoyable watching Wyatt and Flynn fight off Rittenhouse's men together.
  • I'm glad that Flynn killed David Rittenhouse but I wonder how much of a difference it would make since he already has so many followers.
  • I disliked that Flynn wanted to kill Rittenhouse's son but I liked that Lucy, Wyatt and Rufus were all against it and agreed to work together in order to stop him.
  • I liked that Lucy was able to stop Flynn from killing Rittenhouse's son but I disliked that he kidnapped her because of this and I'm now worried about her.

TV Review: Notorious: Chase(1.07)

                                                            Notorious: Chase(1.07)
  • I find it interesting that the episode started 48 hours earlier with Jake going on the run which just seems like a bad idea.
  • I like that Jake's brother is the one that is representing him in court and that he's willing to do anything to get his brother free. I also like that he's telling Jake that he can't work on the case because he can't be objective right now.
  • I like that Julia is just really worried about what's going to happen with Jake as his friend.
  • I like that Jake ends up staying with Julia because the media is surrounding his house and his brother's house.
  • I like that Jake wants Julia to allow the DA to try him on the air before it goes to trial because it would allow him to learn how the prosecution is going to try the case.
  • I was surprised to learn that Sarah had a loan shark for some reason and that she was trying to get away from some guy named Brian.
  • I find it interesting that Sarah was using a loan shark to pay his gambling debts.
  • I liked that Julia ended her deal with the DA because she doesn't like that he's using her show to get her friend convicted for a murder that she believes that he didn't commit.
  • I think it's pretty dumb that Jake cut his tracking anklet because he wanted to personal look into a new lead in Sarah's case by himself.
  • I was surprised that it seemed like Jake's brother and Ella helped Jake get off his tracking anklet.
  • I was surprised to learn that Sarah's baby is still alive and that Jake suspect that he she maybe his biological daughter which isn't true but instead the father of the baby was actually Sarah's baby.
  • I liked that Jake had Julia make a deal with the DA in order to not have a lot of press at his being taken into jail again.
  • I liked how Julia convinced the DA that Sarah's brother is the one that killed his sister which leads to him getting arrested and Jake getting released from jail.
  • I'm a bit surprised that it seems that Oscar was in on the murder of Sarah with her brother.
  • I find it interesting that someone named Dana called Julia because she needs Jake as a lawyer.

TV Review: Sweet/Vicious: All Eyez on Me(1.05)

                                        Sweet/Vicious: All Eyez on Me(1.05)Review
  • I felt so bad for Rachel a girl who was assaulted by a guy that worked for a car service who drive drunk people home.
  • I like that Harris is working with the campus patrol guy in order to figure out what is going on with the recent attacks on campus.
  • I liked that Jules tried to use Greek mythology to indirectly broach the topic of accidently killing his brother, it doesn't really go anywhere of course.
  • I like that it turns out that Tyler is an art major who is doubting himself and I like that Jules wants to throw him a pop up art show and I like that Kennedy wants to help her throw it.
  • I found it awkward how Ophelia ran into the guy she hooked up with in the first episode while she was looking for the driver that assaulted Rachel.
  • The driver being the son of the president of their college is something that I think could cause big problems in the future.
  • I like that Jules is doing her best to support Tyler and be a good girlfriend to him when it comes to setting up the art show.
  • I like the way that Harris and the campus patrol guy interact with each other and I find it interesting that they found out that Ophelia might have something to do with their investigation.
  • I understand why Ophelia was mad at Jules for not asking anything about the mission she went on when she almost got ran over on said mission.
  • I felt bad for Tyler when he started getting frustrated by people not getting his art and I like that even though the whole art show was giving him anxiety that Tyler still let Jules know that he thought what she did was sweet and that he knows she had the best of intentions but he just can't handle being there right now.
  • I like that Ophelia and Kennedy were both comforting to Jules after her fight with Tyler although in different ways.
  • I liked that Ophelia told Jules that she would understand if she wasn't in the mood for a take down and I liked that Jules said she wanted to punch someone by ten.
  • I liked that Harris learned that Ophelia met Jules because she found her necklace and I like that he was connecting the dots until Ophelia made up a story that made the two events seem unrelated.
  • I liked that when Ophelia made a quick exit after her talk with Harris she said she was going to class and then he looked at her weird and then she said she meant she's going to smoke weed which he said makes sense.
  • I liked that the plan was for Ophelia to be bait and that Jules would wait at the spot that they thought that they rape the girls only they didn't go to the spot that they thought he would.
  • I was really afraid for Ophelia when things didn't go as plan with it being at a different location and their being two of them but luckily she was able to taze them both.
  • I liked that when Ophelia was acting like she was totally fine and Jules could tell she wasn't that Jules made sure that they didn't do the takedown that night.
  • I felt so bad for Jules when Nate was calling what he did to her cheating as if she did something wrong or had a say in any of it and how he wanted them to all hang out again and move past it, I wanted so badly for Jules to say something to him about how wrong he is but I understand why she couldn't find her voice then.
  • I like that Harris is figuring out that Ophelia is lying to him about what she and Jules are doing together.
  • I was worried about Jules when one of the guys stabbed her in the leg.
  • I'm worried about what's going to happen now that Ophelia taking down one of the guys was caught on several students Iphones.
