TV Review: Timeless: Stranded(1.07)

                                                 Timeless: Stranded(1.07)Review
  • I thought it was interesting that this episode started with Lucy, Wyatt and Rufus already back in time which in this episode means 1754 which was around the time of French and Indian war.
  • I liked that it was clear from the early on in this episode that there was still a lot of tension between Lucy, Wyatt and Rufus because of the secrets of Lucy and Rufus that were revealed last week which means there's less trust between the three of them than there usually is.
  • I liked that Wyatt through away Rufus's recorder so they didn't have to worry about what they said anymore but I'm a bit worried about what could happen to Rufus when he doesn't turn it in after the mission.
  • I found it interesting and really worrying that this time Flynn's plan was to strand Lucy, Wyatt and Rufus in the past so that they can't interfere with his plans by destroying their ship.
  • I liked that Wyatt told Lucy that he knew how she made a deal that allows for people their working for to find a way to get her sister back and I liked how he pointed out that it was slightly hypocritical because she has tried to stop him from trying to save his wife.
  • I liked that Lucy was able to convince Rufus that he could build a capacitor that they would need to get back into there time.
  • I like that getting back to their time with a damaged ship is something that will be very challenging and pretty dangerous because it ups the stakes of this episode.
  • I like that there is a protocol on how the people in modern day can help guide the ship back to where they are suppose to be when the ship is damaged and I like that the protocol has very specific instructions.
  • I find it suspicious that the guy that I believe is Lucy's birth father is part of Writtenhouse in someway but I do like that Mason is suspicious of him as well.
  • I like that Lucy, Wyatt and Rufus as well as worrying about repairing the ship to get back to their own time also have to worry about running into French soldiers who they have already pissed off and Indian soldiers who would assume that they were enemies on sight.
  • I liked that it became clear here that while Wyatt is the guy that knows best how to survive in most environments is still someone that needs to know that he has people that he can rely on so that he can get the job done and unfortunately at the moment he doesn't know if he can rely on Lucy and Rufus.
  • I liked that Jiya was worried about Rufus making it back to the present and I liked that Mason noticed this and said he noticed that they are close and Jiya says they aren't really which is something she clearly regrets and I liked that she mentions that Rufus instant message her even though there desk are two feet away from each other.
  • I liked that when Lucy, Wyatt and Rufus were captured by the Indians and certain that they were going to die that Rufus said that he couldn't stop thinking about how he wanted to have one last Twinkie covered in chocolate and that this lightly the mood a bit and the three of them laughed at the ridiculousness of this thought.
  • I liked that Rufus also talked about he regretted never letting Jiya know how he really feels about her.
  • I liked that Lucy mentioned how she wished she had, had kids and how she always thought that she would have the time to have the time someday and I liked that Wyatt could relate to that line of thought because he always told his wife that they had all the time in world to have kids but they didn't.
  • I liked that Lucy told Wyatt that she was wrong for saying that his wife's death was meant to be and I liked that Wyatt told Lucy that he doesn't hold it against her that she made a deal to save her sister.
  • I liked that Rufus was able to save Lucy and Wyatt's lives by telling the Indian chief that not only did none of them want to be there but that they are friends and that they have saved his life in the past which leads the Chief to believe that they must really be from far away if someone like Rufus would be willing to stand up for them.
  • I liked how Lucy thanked Rufus and call him very brave for how stood up for her and Wyatt.
  • I liked how Wyatt pretended to have neck injury so that no one at the French camp would notice that he doesn't speak English so that Lucy can do all the talking without raising concerns.
  • I was very impressed that Rufus was able to make everything they needed in order to get back home and that he learned some  blacksmith skills so quickly.
  • I liked that Lucy stop a doctor from putting mercury in Wyatt's blood stream by having Wyatt knock out the guy without knowing why he was doing it.
  • I liked that Rufus told Lucy and Wyatt how easy it would be for things to go horribly wrong with jump with the navigation system down.
  • I liked that Mason and Jiya talked about the first time that they met Rufus and I liked that because of this conversation that she was able to figure out what Rufus's note that they couldn't read meant.
  • I liked that when Rufus was going to mess things up with Jiya by being awkward again that she kissed him and saved him from his own awkwardness.
  • I liked that Rufus read to Lucy and Wyatt when they went out for drinks to celebrate making it back that they're time ship was considered one of the first UFO siting in North American history.
  • I liked that Lucy confided that she thinks that the journal is really hers and that she believes in fate so she feels powerless to change her future and I liked that Wyatt tells her that history is made up of the choices people make and that if she doesn't like the future that Flynn predicted for her she should change it.

TV Review: Sweet/Vicious: The Blueprint(1.01)

                                         Sweet/Vicious: The Blueprint(1.01)Review
  • I liked that show started off with a girl who is dressed in all black and you can't even tell for sure if she's a girl or not beating the crap out of rapist and telling him if every does it again she'll come back for him. I also like that it turns out the girl Jules is a blonde sorority girl.
  • I like the character Ophelia a girl with green hair who doesn't really ever go to class, doesn't seem care about much, is a stoner but seems to be pretty intelligent since she still gets good grades and is shown to be a good hacker.
  • I like that Ophelia and Jules cross paths when Ophelia sees Jules beating the crap out yet another date rapist and that she becomes curious about who she is now and even makes sure she escapes from campus security.
  • I liked how Ophelia blackmailed the campus security guy into not telling anyone about him seeing her smoking pot after she found out that he didn't want her to say anything about the guy she saw getting his ass kicked.
  • I like how Ophelia's friend Harris who is law student came to act as her lawyer when she thought she was getting kicked out.
  • I liked that Ophelia is trying to figure out who Jules is and is investigating things on her own.
  • I like the friendship between Jules and her best friend Kennedy who is someone who seems to really care about Jules and wants what's best for her.
  • I think that Kennedy's boyfriend Nate is probably a bad guy and probably did something to Jules considering how uncomfortable she is every time he shows up.
  • I like that Ophelia figured out which sorority the necklace that Jules left is from and that she finds out who Jules really is.
  • I like how after Jules threatens Ophelia after she figures out who Jules really is that Ophelia steals her phone to install tracking software and download her information from it to look at later.
  • I liked that Ophelia decide to follow Jules when she figured she was going on one of her takedowns.
  • I felt bad for Jules when she has flashbacks of being raped by Nate when the guy she was attacking got the upper hand, I wasn't surprised when this was revealed but I did still feel really bad for her.
  • I liked that Ophelia saved Jules life by killing the guy that who had knocked her out and promised to kill her and I liked that she vomited after she killed the guy.
  • I liked that Ophelia expected Jules to know how to take care of a dead body and I liked that Jules didn't and that she cried when she found out what happened.
  • I liked that Jules didn't trust the cops enough to kill them even though a good case for self defense could be made because she just doesn't trust the copies.
  • I liked that Jules and Ophelia bond by singing along to Defying Gravity from Wicked when they were trying to figure out what to do with the body.
  • I liked that Ophelia insisted that they go to a bar so that she could drink and they could figure out what they should do with the body.
  • I liked how when Jules told Ophelia that she was doing what she's doing because bad things are happening and no one else is doing anything to stop them that Ophelia told her she just described the plot of batman because this story is sort similar to batman on a superficial level.
  • I actually like Tyler the guy that was flirting with Jules in this episode because he seems like a nice guy and Jules actually seemed somewhat comfortable talking to him towards the end of the episode too bad the guy Ophelia killed happens to be his step brother.
  • I'm very worried that Ophelia's car along with the body was stolen and I'm wondering if this is something that will help them or get them caught.

Top 10 Mangas

1. Fruits Basket: This series is my favorite series of anything that has ever been written and I honestly believe that no other series will ever be as perfectly written as this one was. Fruits Basket is a series that just has so many great characters and relationships and pretty much the entire series is about how those characters and relationships develop over the course of the series. I love that this series is one that starts out light but then gets darker later on but the story ends on happy and hopeful note for the characters. This series is great if you haven't read it you should because it's a wonderful story that will teach you to be a better person.
2. Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle: This series is one that has the main characters traveling through dimensions which is a concept one does not see often which makes the series stand out from the beginning. This series is one that has great characters that I can't help but to love and really great romance that almost broke the space time continuum so that right there shows you how powerful their love for one another is. The series also has great art since it was created by Clamp.
3. Cardcaptor Sakura: This is another great series by Clamp and this one is about a ten year old girl who has to capture these Clow cards in order to keep her town safe. This series is really sweet and fluffy and at it's core Cardcaptor Sakura is a story about love in all its forms and it's just a series that always makes me happy.
4. Tokyo Babylon: This series is also by Clamp but unlike Cardcaptor Sakura this story is not a happy Story in fact it's a tragic story. This series has young man that has magic powers and uses them to help people who he believes are generally good and kind at heart and through his job he sees what people do at their most cruel and selfish points which starts to chip away at his optimistic outlook on life but nothing hurts him quite as much as falling in love, it doesn't end well.
5. Gakuen Alice: This series is a story about a young girl who runs away and joins her friend at boarding school for gift children and while the story starts off fairly lighthearted things getting darker as the series goes on and more about the school is revealed.
6. Chibi Vampire: This series is a coming of age story for a young girl who is a vampire who is a reverse of what a vampire should be in that she produces too much blood rather than needing to drink blood. The series is delightful and quite a fun read with likable characters and interesting mythology.
7. Shugo Chara: This series is a magical girl series which is my favorite sub-genre of manga/anime and this series deals with a girl who puts on a false cool girl image but is forced to confront her other would be selves by her guardian characters who help her save other kids around age from loosing their dreams, the premise of the series doesn't make a whole lot of sense out of context but  I assure you this series is great.
8. Rosario + Vampire: This series is about an extremely average boy that accidently gets sent to a school for monsters and ends up unwittingly winning the hearts of quite a few of his female classmates by simply being nice to them. This series can be a bit out there but it's great fun to read.
9. Pandora Hearts: This series is a very different take on Alice in Wonderland that deals with a young boy being taken to a sort of underworld only to be saved from that world by making a deal with Alice who is someone who lives in that underworld. This series is a bit hard to sum up but the story and it's characters are really great.
10. Magic Knight Rayearth: This series is a magical girl series about three girls who get transported to another world to save it's ruler and become great friends with each other through out the series. This series has great art, good characters, an interesting plot and killer twist at the end of it's first series.

TV Review: Timeless: The Watergate Tape(1.06)

                                       Timeless: The Watergate Tape(1.06)Review
  • I liked that Rufus felt bad when he found out that he missed the championship game that his brother had and I liked that his mother told him not to feel too bad because he works hard to provide for them.
  • I disliked how the Writtenhouse guy was threatening Rufus and his family and I liked that Mason told the guy to stop because he was sure that Rufus would do what he was told because he has no choice but to do what they say.
  • I liked how after Lucy told Wyatt how she stalked her biological father's house that Wyatt told her that no matter what kind of man her father is she is going to have knock on that door one day.
  • I was worried about what would happen next when Lucy, Wyatt and Rufus were all taken hostage by Flynn and his men.
  • I was surprised when it turned out that Flynn had already stolen the one Watergate tape that had eighteen missing minutes on it and that he played it for Lucy, Wyatt and Rufus and on that tape Writtenhouse was mentioned.
  • I liked how Flynn told them all the things that he and Lucy had talked about in the past and how he is using Lucy's journal from the future as his guidebook.
  • I liked that when Lucy was saying that the truth that Flynn was talking about was complicated and that Wyatt said that the truth isn't complicated it just is.
  • I liked that when Flynn let Lucy and Rufus go to find the doc but kept Wyatt as leverage that Wyatt told them to just leave them but Lucy agreed to do as Flynn said in order to save Wyatt.
  • I liked that Rufus was upset with Lucy keeping that she and Flynn have been having private conversations on their trips and that he has her journal from the future. I also liked how Lucy told him she didn't tell him because she can't believe that she would ever write that journal or willingly work with Flynn at anytime in the future so she kept it a secret because it didn't feel real to her.
  • I liked that Lucy found the informant on the Watergate case in order to find out what the doc was and I liked that Rufus figured out from the clue they were given that it was from a black militant group.
  • I was surprised when it turned out that the doc was a person rather than a document and I liked that when Writtenhouse told Rufus to kill her that he wouldn't do it.
  • I liked how when Flynn was telling Wyatt about how he came across Writtenhouse and how they killed his family that Wyatt still was pretty skeptical about his story but the thing that made it impossible for him to ever take Flynn's side is that he is willing to destroy America to stop Writtenhouse which goes against everything Wyatt stands for.
  • I liked that Rufus came clean about spying for Writtenhouse and I liked that Lucy was mad at him for it and pointed out that it was hypocritical of him to mad at her for keeping secrets earlier when he was sitting on this secret.
  • I liked that Lucy and Rufus outsmarted both Flynn and Writtenhouse and that they saved both doc and came back for Wyatt.
  • I'm a bit sad that Wyatt doesn't trust Lucy or Rufus anymore but I understand why he doesn't and I like that he told Rufus that he should keep spying on them and that he is now a double agent which Rufus doesn't have a lot of confidence that he can do well since he's already a pretty terrible single agent.
  • I liked that Lucy didn't tell her father who she is after she saw that he had a family but I'm suspicious of him since he seemed to know who she was already.

TV Review: Scream: Village of the Damned(2.08)

                                     Scream: Village of the Damned(2.08)Review
  • I found it very scary and creepy that the killer wrote in blood 12 dead on Audrey's ceiling and "No one will ever forgive you." on her mirror.
  • I liked that Audrey told Noah about the messages she found and that they tried to figure out who the 12 people who died all are and that they are coming up one short which is troubling.
  • I liked that Noah told Audrey that as long as the killer has this secret to hold over her the killer owns her so she should tell Emma the truth and I like that Audrey admitted he was right even though she still too afraid to tell Emma because she assumes that Emma won't be able to forgive her.
  • I liked how Noah pointed out that a town celebrating after murders have been committed usually ends in death in the movies so that means that Lakewood having a carnival is a bad idea and I like that pretty much everyone agrees with him on that point.
  • I liked that Brooke is dreading having to give a speech at the carnival but feels that she needs to go through with it for her father's sake and that she doesn't think that she can get through it without her friends being there for her.
  • I find it interesting that the property that Eli and Emma visited that burnt is one that belonged the Mayor.
  • I liked that the Sheriff found Ms. Lang keep records on her students to be strange because it really was.
  • I liked that the Sheriff didn't really consider Emma as a suspect for the fire or the murder of the two people who were found inside the house but he did still have someone keeping tabs on her because that is just good police work.
  • I find the fact that Eli broke into the bedroom of a girl he liked in the past to be pretty creepy and I'm glad that Emma was creeped out by him after she learned this about him.
  • I like that the Sheriff brought Emma's mom back onto the case now that he doesn't suspect that Emma is a possible suspect.
  • I like that the Sheriff does actually suspect that Gustavo could be the killer because he has found evidence that could lead him to that conclusion and I like that he won't ignore that evidence even though he clearly doesn't want his son to be the killer.
  • I find it interesting and frightening that in the past Gustavo accidently killed one of his friends and that he preserved him in some way through art that his father found worrying.
  • I find it a little weird how upset Kieran is about anything that Eli tells Emma even though so far what he's told her hasn't made Emma think badly of Kieran, I just find it a bit odd how much Kieran doesn't want Emma around Eli even when she's agreeing to not be around him without any argument.
  • I found it creepy that the killer sent Audrey a video of Emma sleeping than showed a bloody looking knife as a threat.
  • I liked that Audrey invited Emma to the carnival assumingly so that she could insure that they have one more nice day together before Audrey confesses to her. I also liked how Emma said that they always went to the carnival together and that Audrey mentions that they didn't last and Emma says that they should just forget last year.
  • I like that Brooke is helping Zoe to win the pageant with giving her a little make over and I like that the two bond even more when Zoe reveals that she brought a flask to help calm her nerves about public speaking and that she also offers some to Brooke.
  • I liked that Noah came to be Zoe's date for the pageant and I like that Brooke made sure that his bowtie matched Zoe's dress.
  • I liked that Gustavo tried to convince Brooke to ditch the pageant and I was surprised to learn that Brooke wasn't only doing the pageant for her dad's sake but that she had her own reasons for going through with it.
  • I think it's kind of creepy that Kieran was watching Emma seemingly the entire time she was at the carnival and honestly the fact that Kieran beat the crap out of Eli after he said that he didn't tell Emma the worst part makes me more suspicious of Kieran than of Eli because he is clearly the one that is hiding something bigger.
  • I liked that after Emma told Audrey that Eli broke into some girl's bedroom before that she told Emma that someone broke into her house the other night and wrote creepy messages and that they now are both suspecting Eli as the killer.
  • I liked that Zoe asked Brooke if she was okay to give a speech after seeing how drunk she was even though Brooke insisted she was fine and had things she needed to say.
  • I felt sad for Brooke when she gave a speech where she talked about Jake and how and quite a few other people have been murder and how Lakewood is lying to itself about what really goes on there and how if they keep ignoring the problem more people will just end up dead and maybe they'll deserve it.
  • I liked that Noah told Brooke that he thought that her speech was great and I liked that Emma, Audrey and Zoe seemed to agree with that statement. I also liked that Brooke mentioned that Jake would have liked her speech.
  • I find it suspicious that Emma was lured away from everyone else and then the killer calls Emma using Kieran's phone. I find it especially suspicious that Kieran was found underneath a costume like the one the killer wears even if it was under duress it seems like an odd choice for the killer to make it especially since the killer was in the funhouse somewhere since a cop did ended up either injured or dead.
  • I liked that Audrey told Noah that the killer sent her video of Emma going into the funhouse and that she figured out that the killer wants her to feel responsible for everything that happens and I like that Audrey is finally sick enough of the killer's taunts that she wants to tell Emma the truth so she doesn't have to do as the killer says anymore.
  • I liked that when Zoe said that it feels a bit stupid to win Lady of Lake now that Noah told her it's not stupid to want something and to go out to get it.
  • I was so mad that the killer sent the recording of Audrey confessing to Noah about bringing Piper to Lakewood to Emma right before Audrey was finally going to tell her the truth since Emma is a lot less likely to believe anything Audrey says now that someone else revealed her secret.
Please tell me your thoughts on his episode.

Movie Review: Being Charlie

                                                         Being Charlie Review
Being Charlie is about a boy named Charlie(Nick Robinson) who is the son of politician who is running for governor and he is also a drug addict. Charlie has been going in and out of rehabs for quite some time when the film started. When Charlie returns home after ditching his last rehab his parents demand that he goes back to a different rehab program at first Charlie protest saying that this programs just don't work for him but he soon learns that he really has no choice in the matter so he goes to the rehab with no really intention of getting clean and sober for good.

When Charlie gets to the new rehab place he is no more committed to this program than he is to any other but after he meet Eva(Morgan Saylor) a girl around his age that he bonds with and starts to develop feelings for he finds the program not be quite so bad. Charlie ends up doing a fairly good job at advancing in his program now that he motivated by his relationship with Eva but Eva he is having a harder time at motivating herself to stay clean and her relationship with Charlie isn't really enough for her and since Charlie cares enough about her to follow her anywhere this is something that ends causing problems for both of them.

Overall I really loved this film I found the story to be interesting and I liked that while it dealt with a dark subject matter that the film itself didn't feel overly dark at anytime. I really liked the way that this film explored the character of Charlie and I thought that the acting in the film was well done as well. Please tell me your thoughts on this film.

Top 5 Underrated Books

1. Dare Me: This book is one that I never really hear about on book blogs unless I'm looking for it although pretty much everyone who has read it has loved like I have. This book dealing with dark side of high school cheerleading is one that has a very different look at high school than I usually read about it as well as having intriguing characters with complex relationships with each other and the writing in this book is just incredible the descriptions just shows so much character and sets the mood of the book.
2. Traffick: This book is the squeal to Ellen Hopkins book Tricks and I think that this book is even better than the first one. I really loved that this book was about recovery rather than destruction which is what the last one was about and I liked that the characters had live with the consequences of their actions from the last book and I liked that the characters were shown to still be struggle in this book as well.
3. Triangles: This is another book by Ellen Hopkins but this one is an adult novel that dealt with lives of three women who all had very different things to deal with in life. I didn't like this book as much as the other ones on this list but  it was still a good book and deserves more recognition than it gets.
4. Also Known As: This book was just a really fun and sweet story of a safe cracker having her first solo spy mission and going to high school for the first time. This book had fun characters, plot and writing style that made this a joy to read and I wished more people would talk about this book because a great fluffy romance YA book.
5. Lola and the Boy Next Door: While this book is pretty popular I'm putting it on the list because I feeling it also overshadowed by Anna and the French Kiss and I think that people in general only pay attention to this book because it's the second one in the Anna and the French Kiss series. I think that this book is actually much better than Anna and the French Kiss, I think that the characters are both more likable and interesting and that the plot just feels a lot more down to earth and I think that the book deserves to be recognized for how good it's story is rather than how popular the book that came before it is.
